  1. When I first saw the movie, the story seemed open with no clear delineations-was it a time paradox story? Was it just a delusion of some kid who skipped his medication? Or was it just weird for the sake of being weird like Twin Peaks or Lost Highway? Either way, I thought the movie was cool enough to warrant a $10 DVD purchase (with a great soundtrack to boot). After watching it one more time and going through the extras, the movie seemed more like a hero story with a bit of divine intervention. Watching the extras pretty much ended all the squablling with my friends. Anyways, for only $10, the movie's definitely worth it.
  2. Nice designs, DA! My vote goes to either DA's v3 or v4. I prefer Mikimoto's work over the mecha, so the rest can go.
  3. Yup, nothing wrong with the 60s. I just wish Yamato went through with the upgrade parts.
  4. Heh, it reminds of one of the kidde droids in Batteries not Included. Kawaii!
  5. For future submissions, to whom should we send our pictures, G?
  6. Sweet idea, but like EXO pointed out, can JMs get some love too?
  7. I too am not a fan of the Minmay Guard scheme, but still...HOT DAMN! Your decals have reached the level of uber-sweet, Devin.
  8. The packs looks fantastic, I'm really digging the inner detail.
  9. The panda got it, you're up gnollman.
  10. No one? Ok, the plane Arisa was flying was a Russian Flanker (Su-27, Su-35). Next: Which unique anime has an homage to South Park?
  11. Nope, Airbats was produced by Studio Fantasia (A-ko the Versus, Gunbuster), co-produced by Gainax, and character designs were by Yuji Moriyama (Project A-Ko, Agent Aika, Maison Ikkoku). Kenichi Sonoda did the designs for Riding Bean and Gunsmith Cats.
  12. Sorry Sean , I was stumped on all the music questions as well. Ok, in 801 T.T.S. Airbats, what plane was Arisa flying in Isurugi's dream sequence? (I'm not being variant picky, as long as the answer is close enough)
  13. What is Sanctuary? I know there was a live-action version of this manga title, but I didn't know there was anime. I gotta track this down.
  14. $80 is still too high a price, but I might have to bite the bullet...these things are looking nice.
  15. Gawd, I'd go broke without even getting past one aisle. And to have the G1 Megatron back on a TRU shelf must be really cool.
  16. Just picked this PS2 game up two days ago, and its simply awesome for R-type and shooter fans alike. It was quite a surprise, I didn't even know it had already hit the store shelves. The dynamic 3-d backgrounds and the PS2's graphical boost make this game look even better than R-Type Delta, and with supposedly over a hundred ships to unlock, it'll satisfy my shooter fix for a while. I haven't unlocked it yet, but the intro shows a R-9 that actually transforms into one of the more familiar enemies of the series; a slow, ALIEN-looking type of mech. There are still some other game modes I have to explore, but my only gripe would have to be the slowdown. Anyways, I thought I'd pass this down to anyone else who be out of the gaming loop as I have. For only $25, you can't go wrong with this game.
  17. How about Crescens from Xenogears?
  18. Whoa, when did that come out? Can't say for sure, I'm guessing shortly after the first game came out. HLJ used to stock it, but had long since run out when I got to it. Here is the listing: Jehuty It's a full action kit too! Note the dreaded jolly roger of discontinued stock
  19. Haven't heard of any ZOE figures except for the Kaiyodo resin Jehuty that was released a while back:
  20. Hoshi no Koe ( ほしのこえ ) That's it, A7, you got the mic.
  21. I guess time's up. The answer is: Sea Prince and the Fire Child (Syrius no Densetsu) Next question- What title won the Gunbuster Award during "The 2nd Japan Otaku Award" ceremonies?
  22. I have no complaints with M2K's release, so AnimEigo is going to have put in something reeal special for me to buy another boxset.
  23. Jeopardy style: Made during the early 80's, this animated movie is Sanrio's adaptation of Romeo and Juliet.
  24. Heh, heh....he said "Wanzer"....heh, heh Being serious now, I presume Wanzer is supposed to mean Walking Panzer? But wouldn't it have been more funny if the creators had decided to base the name on Walking Tank. Figure it out your selves! Graham (snort)
