1. Thanks, I was wondering where exactly AC3 fits in all this.
2. Nice, I was hoping this game would hit US shores. Yeah, I'm hoping for some subtitles too; Sega's voice actors always came with extra cheese.
3. At first just tail him like any other bogey, fire missiles when you're close and have a clear shot (if you have the super homing missiles, even better). Stay alert for a huge blast he occasionally sets off when you're behind him, but it's fairly easy to dodge. During the second half of the battle, slow down until he charges you. When he does, build speed, quickly fire off a couple of missiles then dodge his own volley. It's sorta like a joust. Lather, rinse, repeat...
4. Woo, this game's a blast. Not a lot of mission variety so far; it's like an add-on disc for AC5, but I like the branching system. Supreme Mercenary is easy to get, but that damn Sorcerer squadron caused me to make a couple of mission restarts. And I was hoping to see a reappearance of the secret plane from AC2, but no dice. BTW, is AC3 in the same timeline as the rest of the ACs? I remember being inticed by all the cutscenes, but I can't remember a lot of the story elements now.
5. Neither, you'd just be guilty of extreme vanity. As for the topic at hand, all I can say is "meh".
6. I can't remember the title of the episode, but one of my faves is when Robin falls for Clayface's "little girl". Incidentally, my favorite Superman episode is when Supes dresses up as Bats and absolutely whomps on Bane.
7. The Frank Miller bit was sweet. That one episode also threw a few jabs at Joel Shumacher and his take on the Batman movies. Remember the one kid who pranced around with a feathered scarf, and loved Batman because of the skin tight outfits and the car that could run on walls?
8. No way. 389441 I allready posted earlier in this thread that an Ingram was in the pipeline. I'm down for Getter 1, 2, Eva 01, Ingram and maybe Dougram for now. I look forward to seeing what else they do, the selection is delightfully random. 389657 Oh, I do remember that, have no fear. It's just exciting to see a page online that looks vaguely official!!! 389751 Exactly. Besides, I never read your earlier post, Fort Max But I really shouldn't get too excited until I see pics of thing, and I would squeal with undying glee if a Griffon was made.
9. That "audition" scene still slays me. ED looks killer, and even at $200, I'd have to plunk the cash down for it.
10. The camo is awesome. Great stuff Kurt!
11. I was never much of a TF freak, but I'd definitely shell out the dough for Starscream, besides it's a large scale transformable F-15- that just plain rocks!
12. I have too many shooters buried in closet, but the ones I still play include Zero Wing 2, Einhander, and Ikaruga. Raystorm was pretty good too (love Zuntata's music), and for a quick fix, the DonPachi games never fail to satisfy. But heck I still play 1942 and 1943...
13. I haven't had a chance to play FM2 yet. Is the gameplay similar to FM1 or 3? Damn, the more I read about FM5's gameplay, the more I want to play it. I'm hoping Square is just getting ready to pounce with FM5 and FM Online...
14. Yep, the Filipino pilot is either an enemy ace or an ally depending on the story path. If you don't get him, you get the Bruce Lee wanna be as a pilot. I do remember painting Marcus' wanzer bright honkin orange and naming it Crush. His melee skills activated frequently, making mincemeat out of enemy missileers. I wonder if beam weapons will make comeback? That one beam rifle was fun to use in FM3, but it made battles way too easy.
15. I understand, it was cool how FM1 gave players the choice to use the entire roster or not. But using everyone just cluttered up the map and slowed down the game IMO. One feature I would like to see again is the option to eject and pilot any unattended vehicles. Not to mention blowing up an ailing wanzer with nothing more than a sidearm And I agree, FM4's story was weak compared to the other games. Still a blast to play though (love the linking system).
16. Yeah, it still has the menus (but now with characters models!) but I'd hate to miss out on the story, especially with some rumored cameos of other FM chars in the fray. I definitely would not have enjoyed FM1 as much if I didn't play the fan-translated version. Yup, I heard FM 4 didn't sell too well, in fact I think a MW'er even got a free copy from a retailer who was getting rid of extra stock. I've also heard talk of Square holding back the release due to Kindom Hearts 2 coming out around the same time. Who knows, but yeah hopefully E3 will shed some light on this. FM3 was actually the last FM game I played. I disliked how few units you could field at a time. YES! I hate SRPGs that give you a pile of units, then place a low cap how many you can field. I always subscribed to the mass chaos theory. Throw a million units out and overwhelm the enemy with numbers. FM3 was worse about it since all the mechs were THERE storywise, they just put their guns up or something. 377519 I feel the opposite; I liked managing a small squad of chars with their own specialty. However, this really hurt in the missions when ALL the chars have to be thrown in because only 5 out of ten of my members would be up to par with the enemy. With FM1, you're given around 18 members, but I still used only 4 or five of them. As soon as they gained a couple of key skills, they tore up every mission. To make matters worse for the enemy, the weight restriction was real loose, so I could have a Wanzer with two missile launchers, a shotgun, AND a claw arm. Oh, and I can't forget the handy supply truck that repairs all broken limbs. With all that, FM1 is the only FM game that allows one member to win battles by himself.
17. JM overload? No such thing!
18. Y'know, my older sister still sings that song to this day...and it never fails to creep the phuck out of me.
19. Ok, after coming from a huge Front Mission fix, (I just finished FM 1-loved every minute of it) I checked out the status of the latest installment since it was supposed to be released stateside around this time. I was greeted by some awful news stating that the game might not even get a domestic release. ACK-Noooo! I think Square already made a blunder by not bringing over FM 1&2, but now FM 5 as well (especially after bringing back the coliseum feature)? Now all I got to quell my FM cravings are the simulations from FM3 & 4.
20. I remember going gaga over Mekanda as a wee tyke. That all changed after I saw Voltes V.
21. Great stuff, DB. Was this one made from an original JM or a Rohby recast?
22. I dig the green; I think it'd look snazzy on a Low Vis ver. 1.
23. I was kinda hoping to see a figure of Shogo from Part 2-I'd love to have an action figure with a mullett! But Part 1 Shogo is fine too, I'll just have to bloody him up a bit.
