Quoting Cyde01 from the Delta announcement thread. I noticed these diamond hair ends too. All the knights seem to have them. My thoughts weren't that they were aliens or another race necessarily but maybe implants of some type. Also the SV-262 has a closed cockpit design so I'm taking another leap here but do they "plug-in" to their Valks with these arrowhead/implant/USBs!?!

Yeah ok maybe. It was a labour intensive jet - particularly at the end but her personality transcended all that and left her possibly the most celebrated and best loved USN fighter of all time. Those maintenance crews probably get all misty eyed now about working on a "real" machine vs the plug it into the diagnostic computer approach that the bug and super bug have brought to the fleet. Sorry to go all off topic - I'm a little bit sensitive about the F-14 (and a lifetime member in good standing of the F-14 Tomcat Association to boot) Back on topic, to quote from the Delta thread.. I think that would be a very cool idea. A Gundam style beam sword or a solid object with pinpoint-barrier style effect maybe?!? Either way, could be cool!

The very possibility of a Macross Valk (that we can buy) existing in such a scale is exciting enough on it's own. Execution is obviously key. I did think about the wires too EXO, there seems to be one running into one of the feet. A production model would need an integrated battery solution and perhaps some fancy conductive joints to avoid pinching of wires -> ergo more expense I'm not a fan of the backlighting to the visor either but should it make production, we could hope for a better solution.

Definitely, when you look at the fighter mode example from below the nose, it's clear this isn't a transforming toy yet. Some of the joint lines are merely lines at this stage.

I wonder how much they'd have to pay for the FB2012 license to rerelease the VF-4 in the colours everyone wants? If they were to pay for it and hike the price by $100 people would probably buy it and it might be a stay of execution. While it's exciting to watch Bandai set out their stall for world domination (where the world is HG compliant) of Macross products, I feel uneasy that we may be denied future Arcadia goodness if they are simply priced out of the game due to licensing issues.

Yeah black is 02. Interesting that the red one doesn't have artwork on it's back either. Wonder about 03 (yellow) one......... I wonder how long after the release of the 1st one we will get around to the colours we prefer!

I think No.2 is your best bet no3jim. Only slight accents of red though. Personally no.3s colours (yes the yellow one!) has piqued my interest. Also I'm assuming so far that the "hero" valkyrie (the 05 modex with no art on it's back) belongs to this Freyja character??
