I collect ONLY what I want and nothing else and have no regrets and as for the "crap" show it to me cuzz I dont see any. As for the boxes... This is 1 room in my parents house, where the hell else will I put it if I cant display it all, in a toy box with Barny on it. Did you not READ the part where I said "untill I get a bigger house"? As for Energon and Armada Prime...Do you not notice that I collect Transformers? I have also stated before that I colect MIB because I colect the box art as well. I also belive you are being a hippocrate(sp) for downtalking someone when in actuality we all get bashed for collecting toys anyway. Thankx for the positave replies guys.

Thank you guys for the compliments. If I adopt you guys then I cant buy more toys The VSX set and Max were my most $$$$ purchases and I try and only buy MIB or MISB Transformers from the 80s. The Movie edition and Canadian edition Pepsi Prime were a grip also. Things not shown are : More Transformers like the electric train set, the STARS base, pinball game and clothing,M.A.S.K, dozens of Mcfarlane toys, some big ass 80s Fat Albert dolls, a grip of statues, Marvel Legends, a bunch of old Marvel toys, The Tick, Ronin Warriors, Battle Beast Starting Lineups and a bunch of other stuff.

If there was a fire, I would save Fot Max, Dancougar, Low Viz, and all the 1984 Transformers. I noticed the Pasion poaster too, right next to like 20 Tortures souls and Hell Spawn

I been knew I was addicted to toys but after last month I told my GF I knew I was a crac...I meen toyhead. Have you admitted it yet? I rarely bitch over price and have a really adictive personality in nearly everything I do, I also admit that I dont mind as long as everything is in order 1st. I have spent over 20gs in toys over the last 2 years( Transformers mostly) and dont regreat any of it. As long as its not drugs Im good to go.How about you?

In 1 month I have got (I dont know all the names yet but) 1/72 = pcs. 0 1/60 = pcs. 8...yellow, strike, blue, brown, red, elint, Ostrich and 1 I cant see. 1/48 = pcs. 1.... Low Vis 1/55 = pcs. 3.... MCP 1,2, and 3 with armor

I know the Elint is a plane with radar kinda like the E2C Hawkeye but what is the Super Ostrich used for? And what about all the others with the strike, super armor and the one with all the missiles in the arm and legs? Can you explain the various squads and their duties. Thank you for the help

Im about to buy a lot of 3 for $100, dosent matter what 3 because thats a good price, they are all sealed in box also. I got some good advice to just collect the 1/48 first but I cant pass up this deal.

Who is being harsh? Not every thread turns into a HG bashfest. There is one pinned thread for that and the mods are pretty good about keeping them there. I'm glad you like the MPC VF-1's but you have to admit you are in a minority. Last time I checked, you could pick up many of the MPC's well under cost in stores and online. Their design is far from accurate and Toynami screwed over fans by increasing the 'limited' production number and reducing metal content from advertised. I think they are okay but Bandai and Yamato offer much better products. I see no reason to buy a Joon's or any bootleg valks unless you are a hardcore collector. I have not heard of anyone being impressed with bootlegs and a lot of stories of people feeling ripped off. So all we should buy is Yamato?!! Because thats what you think is best? I will never understand thoughts like this.

I am a Macross toy collector, simply because of the love for it. I open up all my Yamato/Bandai toys to at least touch and play with them for a while. Though it's not possible that all my toys get equal amount of time and attention, it's not possible, too many Macross toys already. Not to mention that I also buy 2 of the same types of certain valkyries, for example, 2x 1/60 Elintseeker, 2x 1/60 Strike VF-1S, 4x 1/48 FAST packs (actually wanted 6 sets), wanted to get another 1/48 Super VF-1J gift set but my wallet's running dry and I need money to eat. I have seen toy collectors buying toys (Yamato, Macross Vintage, or some other Transformer vintage toys) and they insist on the toy box being wrapped up nicely, not opened. They pay a bomb for it and keep it in mint condition. Sad to say, these are not real toy collectors. They are just keeping their toys so that they can sell them off at a better price to make profits. I will not sell any of my Macross toys because I enjoy them. So, in a nutshell, open up your Macross toys and enjoy them!! That's what they're for. It is not true when you say collectors who keep their toys mint in box do it for investments, some do but I collect toys as well as the box art, I love the art just as much as the toys. %95 of my collection is MOC , MIB, and MISB. I do not do it for the money I do it for the love of my hobby. It would be dumb of me to spend $600+ on a FortMax and try to get a profit, it wont work.

Shaggydog is also correct. It seems that anybody who likes MCP is crazy and bashed. I collect all Macross and Robotech and have no bad feelings tward either one. You guys are the biggest hippocrytes(sp) I ever saw. You bash RT.com for being so strict but in turn you do the same here. It may det delited but some of you are the biggest loosers on Earth if you have real hate against a toy company. Its actually funny. How can you say MCP look cheep, Yamatos look cheep also, the only ones who dont is the Bandai Valks.

I think he meen real collector he meens collectors who 1. Take this as a hobby, nat as toys to play with and keep in a toy box 2.Take pride in knowing that their collection is an expensive one 3. Not really concerned with price 4. May admire the boxart as well as the toys themselvs 5. Not so bitchy about every little detail 6. Will buy items just because he wants it, needed or not I am all of the above and think of myself as a hardcore collector. Not a casual colector. If you are not a HC collector, you will want more "perfict" toys and wont spend your money unless it is EXACTLY what you want.

How do you know if it is a 1st or 2nd release in the box?

Im trying to see if its possiable for me to get them all starting so late in the game. Im starting out pretty good with 1 or 2 a week and I have tryed to compile a list but I dont know what has been released. I am pretty focused and need to calculate the $$$ Ill be spending. I really only need the releases in 1/60 and 1/48 scale.
