The legs look goofy. Even counting for position and perspective the left leg is too much larger than the right one. Overall, I think the artist has a great grasp of creating dynamic scenes and perfect shading and coloring, but his mechanical designs need a little work- Integrated Under-wing Rocket Pods!?!

All those Macross ones are the 1/200th scale Nichimo kits, repacked and sold by FASA as Battletech gaming kits, under license by Tatsunoko via Twentieth Century Imports.

any Fighter/gerwalk pics? wonder how those FP's look on it Here's a page with a couple of pics, including Gerwalk. One thing always bugged me about that model and now I know what it is: The heatshield is wrong. All the 'R' variants have a heatshield that clamshells from the sides, ala' VF-1D. On this model he used the regular old heatshield. Don't get me wrong, it's a great model. But if you're going to do it at all... YOU'D BETTER DO IT RIGHT!!!! oops!here's the link.

"The Wookie Boat, Exciting and new... AAARGHH!!! MY ARMS!!!"

No offense to that site, but I question the accuracy of the information listed. IIRC, the "refined" valks are never referred to simply as VF-1R, but by their full designations: VF-1AR, VF-1JR and VF-1SR. Hence, to my knowledge, the VF-1R does not actually exist.

It might also be easier if you're Valk (or whichever piece you're currently using) simply jumped from square to square instead of moving slowly across the screen.

Roycommi- I've got a couple of questions, since I'm an idiot when it comes to technical stuff on computers. 1. Since it's a flash game, does that indicate there will be no way to "save" your progress? 2. I know your paying homage to the original, but is it possible to replace the old graphics with something newer? This is something I'd be willing to help out with if it involves photoshopping and hand-drawing images.

The color scheme looks nifty, but the picture is too bad to make an informed judgement.

Yeah. Not to mention that the JSF is damned ugly. -
Not to my knowledge. I wonder if Valkyrie is going to do some more of the VF-4's. I finally have money to spend.

Forgot to mention: You are correct in that this board is to share views and learn from one another, but you also know quite well that religious matters are not allowed.
-
If you're going to go around speculating on the faith of a character, then the criteria for determining that faith is the fundamental truths of that faith. I speak from the perspective of a Bible-carrying, Jesus-believing, Spirit-filled and Spirit led CHRISTIAN and I use that BIBLICAL definition of a CHRISTIAN to determine whether or not another person is TRULY CHRISTIAN(that is, 'truly' as defined by the Bible which, last time I checked was the ONLY TRUE MEASURE of what it means to be CHRISTIAN). If there is some other kind of Christian that is defined by something other than the Bible, I don't know about it. And, if you can't handle that there is truth that you don't want to accept then don't bring up matters of faith on an anime board. The whole purpose of discussion on this board is to share views and to learn from one another. If you don't want to learn that there are true Bible Christians, and then there are the rest of the world who hope that going by the name of Christian but living without the Bible truth they will somehow slip by and get into heaven, then don't ever get started in a religious topic. God Bless You! This thread has crossed the line of what is allowable subject matter. I myself have strong feelings regarding organised religion, but I don't argue the point here on a message board where political and religious discussion are openly disallowed. I wish this subject could get back on topic, but it's already served it's purpose anyways. Time to be locked. May Beer bless us all, every single one of us!

Nah. If this guy isn't Valkyrie himself, it's probably someone who bought one of his recasts. The MiM kit has a lot less parts. I'm not sure what it's recast from.
-
Is this guy actually our very own Valkyrie? Some of those pics look familiar...
-
Review I especially like how OneZero (SM's Admin and founder) sacrifices himself to any potential "recast anxiety".

C'mon guys!!! Talking about political agendas in relation to our military is skimming pretty close to politics, but you's are now crossing the line. -

No, Shin... Tell us how you really feel! I agree. Just like there's always room for Jell-o, there's always room for guns. -
The Comanche is much, much better. But look at it this way: Would the extraordinary price tag of the Comanche justify the limited technical advancements it would enjoy on the battlefield? Simply put, helicopters are slow, low-flying targets. The more cutting-edge technology you put into one, the more expensive your pile of scrap is going to be when small arms fire from a bunch of farmers brings it down. The Comanche was a holdover from the cold war, designed for a large battlefield which, more than likely, will never be seen again*. There once was a time when avation companies made oodles of prototype designs just to see if they'd work. For the past quarter-century, though, many designs arebought and sold before they're even off of the drawing board, and by the time the product actually flies, the government has spent more on one working model than they have for education for that whole year. Don't get me wrong, I fully support a strong military, but politics and wheel-greasing have supplanted an actual desire for a working product. OK- I'll stop ranting. *see B-2 Spirit, B-1 Lancer and Supersized #2, with a Coke.

I think you're mis-interpreting. What I've garnered from the limited info I've seen around, the JSF is going to be a more high-alt support (dropping precison guided munitions, like the eagle and Hornet do now), while the upgraded Hawgs are going to continue being the 100 foot high equivalent of a howitzer with balls of steel. -

Well, from what I've read of the system, I'd assumed that it almost completely independent of human control and, like the article stated, that once it acquires a target, the operators only have a few seconds to abort the launch. IIRC- the whole point of the Patriot was to remove the delay that human decision-making caused during times when milli-seconds count. I think that even the "manned" mode of the Patriot is still about 99% free of human control. edit- spelling... it's been a long day. -
Forgot to finish- Now, does CaptRico really need to post the copyright info in such big letters, including stating "all rights reserved", when doing so clearly mars an otherwise perfectly fine image? That's left up to the viewer. But for my tastes, I'd recommend keping it small and not as intrusive.

Do you understand what a copyright is? COPYRIGHT FEES It can be up to a total of $500 for just one piece of work, not to mention if you publish it. Just saying you have a copyright on something doesn't mean that it is actually copyrighted. And if you really are going down and filing for everything I really envy...you must be really rich. Rob Actually, those fees and applications are simply for non-contestable government recognition of your copyright. But by simply creating something, you legally have a copyright to it. There are many ways of doing the "poor man's copyright", including mailing a copy of the item to yourself and not opening it (hence, the USPS will have the date on it) or simply just putting the old © on it. I used to do it all of the time for my daily comic back in Madison and I still do it for most of my works. Paying the fees and everything just gives a stronger case if someone tries to call you on your copyright, but a copyright is automatically granted once you create a work, even if you choose not to further solidify it by submitting a copy into government records.
