  1. I don't really like the whole Lost in Space remake feel that I'm getting from watching that stuff. I sure do hope that's just jitters. Maybe seeing the trailer on the big screen will change my mind.
  2. I don't know. I get the impression that Ryan Church (designer of the new Ent) knew that he had to stick with the iconic design but decided that, along with adding a few greeblies, maybe moving certain parts around would "make it his design." It looks swift and would be neat on its own, but compared to the bar which it has to meet, the way the neck is pushed back on the secondary hull looks kind of retarded. It loses the sleak look of all previous versions (even TOS).
  3. I thought so too, at first. But the more I look at it, the more I think its still humanly possibly (via parkour). My one gripe is that the 80's versions of Ozymandius and Nite Owl don't look old enough (or, in Nite Owl's case, chubby enoough).
  4. Yeah, because crotch rockets are perfect for navigating the rubble-strewn landscape that is the future! Who knows, maybe they have motocross-looking terminators, too?
  5. Well, its nice to know that brought on the mechanical designer from Transformers...
  6. I see your two rolls, and raise you an airplane crash.
  7. I haven't experienced it. This site has a lot of Elder Scrolls stuff, including known bugs for most versions of each game. I haven't seen the problem you are having on it. Does this happen to other games?
  8. A fun diversion, and you're right that the on-screen death and old people/spies can be disturbing. I agree with the B+.
  9. Yeah, Yamato is really on crack this time.
  10. I'm likin' those Wave figures a lot. Much more than the Yamato.
  11. A friend and I are dressing up as Baseball Furies.
  12. OK- I know this is NEVER the best source for info, but I do believe that Wikipedia CAN be a good starting point for further info. Here's what it says: A/B The F/A-18A is the single-seat variant and the F/A-18B is the two seat variant. The space for the two seat cockpit is provided by a relocation of avionic equipment and a 6% reduction in internal fuel; two-seat Hornets are otherwise fully combat-capable. The B model is used primarily for training. In 1992, the original Hughes AN/APG-65 radar was replaced with the Hughes (now Raytheon) AN/APG-73, a faster and more capable radar. A model Hornets that have been upgraded to the AN/APG-73 are designated F/A-18A+. C/D The F/A-18C is the single-seat variant and the F/A-18D is the two seat variant. The D model can be configured for training or as an all-weather strike craft. The "missionized" D's rear seat is configured for a Weapons and Sensors Officer to assist in operating the weapons systems. The D model is primarily operated by the U.S. Marine Corps in the night attack and FAC(A) (Forward Air Controller (Airborne)) roles.[29][30] The F/A-18C and D models are the result of a block upgrade in 1987[10] incorporating upgraded radar, avionics, and the capacity to carry new missiles such as the AIM-120 AMRAAM air-to-air missile and AGM-65 Maverick[1] and AGM-84 Harpoon air-to-surface missiles. Other upgrades include the Martin-Baker NACES (Navy Aircrew Common Ejection Seat), and a self-protection jammer. A synthetic aperture ground mapping radar enables the pilot to locate targets in poor visibility conditions. C and D models delivered since 1989 also include an improved night attack capability, consisting of the Hughes AN/AAR-50 thermal navigation pod, the Loral AN/AAS-38 NITE Hawk FLIR (forward looking infrared array) targeting pod, night vision goggles, and two full-color (previously monochrome) MFDs and a color moving map.[1] In addition, 60 D model Hornets are configured as the night attack F/A-18D (RC) with ability for reconnaissance.[29] These could be outfitted with the ATARS electro-optical sensor package that includes a sensor pod and equipment mounted in the place of the M61 cannon.[31] Beginning in 1992, the F404-GE-402 enhanced performance engine, providing approximately 10% more maximum static thrust became the standard Hornet engine.[32] Since 1993, the AAS-38A NITE Hawk added a designator/ranger laser, allowing it to self-mark targets. The later AAS-38B added the ability to strike targets designated by lasers from other aircraft.[33] Production of the F/A-18C ended in 1999. In 2000, the last F/A-18D was delivered to the U.S. Marine Corps.[10] E/F Super Hornet The single seat F/A-18E and two-seat F/A-18F Super Hornets carry over the name and design concept of the original F/A-18, but have been extensively redesigned. The Super Hornet has a new, 25% larger airframe, larger rectangular air intakes, more powerful GE F414 engines based on F/A-18's F404, and upgraded avionics suite. The aircraft is currently in production and will eventually equip 22 squadrons. The EA-18G Growler is an electronic warfare version of the two-seat F/A-18F, which entered production in 2007. The Growler will replace the Navy's EA-6B Prowler.
  13. The cockpit is bigger.
  14. This is kind of shoddy, but I took the lineart Todd77 posted and laid it over the Yamato. For reference, I used the tip of the feet as a starting point, and matched the shield on the chest. It seems, according to the lineart, that the Yamato is much more squat. So, take it for what it is...
  15. Dude.. it's a Howard the Duck MMO. I want to be Phil Blumburtt!!!
  16. I so hope you are kidding.
  17. Forgot where I saw it, bu the USAF is grounding A-10's due to reports of stress fractures on the wings.
  18. I'm afraid I don't understand you argument regarding the HDD. What does the size od the HDD have to do with anything. A top of the line computer with a 160GB HDD will still run the same as a top of the line computer with a 500GB HDD, it just doesn't have as much storage capacity. Geez, you cite such a storied computer timeline, and still make a noob error thinking that HDD capacity somehow is super-important? Sony doesn't need a big HDD on the PS3 because they want you to keep inserting a disk into the system to play. If, for some reason, Sony decided to run all of the games directly from the HDD then, yes, 160GB would be problem. But until that time, your point is kind of moot.
  19. What is best is that he totally fraks up his article's structure. You relate something by it's regional title, and then put the translation in parenthesis. But this tard first says "animation", followed by "(anime)", and then follows with the Japanese words with their Anglicised versions in parenthesis (ie- Manga [graphic books], hentai [erotic comics])... ... it's no wonder this fuk writes for M$NBC. Way to confuse the audience, dicklick.
  20. No, dude. It was filmed as Wimbledon with Kirsten Dunst.
  21. We were laughing so hard we probably missed half of the jokes. RDJ was definitely the highlight of the film. Everything he did was a frakking blast!
