  1. try some matt coating. it'll do good on your GBP
  2. Thanks Graham for the great review! However, I have a question. When you said the knee caps dont swivel down, does that mean the lower half of the legs cannot rotate? from looking at your pictures, it seems like the lower part of the legs can rotate, but wont the knee caps be in the way during the rotation?
  3. Ill buy the 2nd version Vf-0s only, and only if they come with tampo printings like the 1st version. If not, I'd rather pass...

add in some grey color in the green pail and I'd be a happy fanboy.

    Takatoku VF1's

....therefore now is the ripe time for us to plummet yamato so that they'll be crippled and unable to produce more macross toys....the price will go skyward!
  6. nice observation. Yeah, the 1/48s cannot be posed with the stand...I wonder why's that?... probably that's why they pose the YF-19 in battroid, but I believe the main reason is because... YF-19 Barroid is SIMPLY GORGEOUS
  7. nice! good thing it falls in the right hands

    1/48 GBP

guess in the early pictures the green is more subtle...but its definitely green, but the kind that blends quite well with the other grey parts
  9. next! all these VF-1 releases have finally make me sick of the design...now, if there's only a company that would rival the 1/60 YF-19...

    1/60 VF-11

why cant they just make the cockpit rotates ala the JM? It saves time and energy figuring out the mechanism for the heatshield... just kiddin.

Enigma, is definitely the only option to go with this bad boy
  12. but then again, will the markings on the supernova schemes be tampo-ed on the valk? IMHO, those arts are what make supernova schemes stand out

maybe yamato has sumthin' up their sleeves...Enigma custom maybe?
  14. are there any pictures of this kit around? I cant seem to find em on the main page.
  15. I think Ill just drool over the pictures for a couple of months before taking the plunge...
  16. Nice pictures. Makes me wish I didnt sell my VF-1S Max....
  17. Guess I gotta ask here too: Anyone has the V-shaped thing, the thing that fits in the front landing strut, used to pull the aircraft on a carrier? (Yamato 1/48 Scale) LMK if anyone has one. Thanks in advanced aaajin
  18. Will this thing be released with the GBP-0S Armor? hmmmm....

    Did I screw up?

wait for the 2nd version of the VF-0S, if they gonna ever release them, or just buy the 1st version & display it in fighter mode. I never regret buying the 1st version VF-0S considering the amount of tampo printings on this thing, and by tampo printing I mean the symbols and signs are printed on the toy; minimizing the amount of stickers that will be used on the toy as for the VF-0A....who need paint schemes? just realized you have ordered the VF-0S (slaps forehead). Nyway, enjoy the toy when it arrives and be careful not to break anything when transforming it. better be nervous than sorry. oh, and welcome to da 0S club! as for the MPC alpha, Id agree they look good esp. when stickered but quality wise, (materials used, paint applications, breakage issues etc) theyre not worth the 60 bucks I paid earlier on. I'd say get em the first thing when youre satiated with the Yamatos.
  20. now that looks kinda cool. Any more pictures in other poses, Mog?

    Did I screw up?

If youre planning to buy an alpha, I would suggest you to wait, accumulate more cash and buy yourself a 1/48 instead. Probably, if you want, you can get an alpha but only after you have enough of Yamato stuff. I mean, why get a mediocre product when more superior products are readily available. I suggest you get these in the following order : -1/48 VF-1 (anything, Low Vis, Vf-1S, VF-1J, VF-1A, Stealth etc.) -1/48 Strike packs (or you can buy em bundled with your valk ala stealth these have really nice details in em) -1/48 GBP-1S - this thing rocks!.....if stickered IMHO, but still, the details are comparable and suit the 1/48s and only the 1/48s!! -1/60 VF-0....man this thing is the one of a kind of all yamato products esp the VF-0S. Although VF-0S has less improvements than its younger brother, the VF-0A, the valk has the most tampo printings compared to all other yamato releases... -1/100 Koenig monster (they make great display *pieces though theyre not too play-able) -Yamato Stand (at least 1 to display the ever sexy VF-0S...man that bird is a beaut!) - Whatever other Yamato releases that are available (Quaedluunrau etc, they're now half the price they were two years ago!) Once youre tired of all these good stuff, you can pick whatever 'leftovers' that are left just for fun (1/60 VF-1, MPC & whutever!) Just my 2 cents. That's the way I would go if I can rewind time aaajin *updated
  22. As I looked again onto the pictures, I became aware of another two features The grey markings on the top side of the fuselage in fighter mode that make the back of the hips in battroid mode are now present, unlike in the previous prototype pictures. Graham, can you confirm whether those are tampo-ed on the toy or are those stickers? Since both arms have that small grooves that let the nub at the back of the shield to fit in, Im assuming that the shield can be mounted in either arms. Is that right? Just sharing my observation. aaajin
  23. I would buy this if it was $ 35 after shipping...
  24. Is that really what Im seeing? a rotatable cockpit panel? nice...
  25. just like the VF-0S....why didnt they just continue to tampo print the damn thing....urgh
