which means, getting a sleek fighter mode is possible after all, based on the transformation sequence shown in the website (make the leg thinner Yamato!).... BTW, that 1/100 should be Yamato's point of reference for its 1/60 version...
-
I bet theyre gonna be grey hands with blue hand pads. or are they grey ? the 1/72's hand pads are grey though... What I do hope from them though, is that they make the nose-cockpit area as slender as could be ala the Hasegawa bcause I dont think there will be that much mechanisms around that area. I dont really care about the back of the fighter. Just make it looks good & stable in all three modes and Ill be Yamato-ed As for detachable limbs...I guess they can make it work by designing limbs that can be screwed to the upper parts of the limbs that are attached to the body. But I still think its a bad idea as screws tend to screw the toys over time (I mean the thread will wear off and we'll be left with a floppy mess ala the Koenig or the 1/60 YF-21)...better make them permanently attached to the body to reduce the headache

boy, arent you a magnet freak like magneto? haha just kiddin. BTW, yeah, that's a nice idea. Why dont yamato just put magnets to lock the upper chest on its place...I mean like powerful magnets like the ones used by DND...

toynami sure has gone a long road to have finally release the fast packs. Hope they'll turn out OK as they sure look damn beautifool!

uh oh.... but I swear I read it somewhere though...maybe its all just wrong info. Ill check the thread again for other differences, apart from having the straight gunpod and the spread-out landing gears... Thanks for the quick reply!

Just wondering, has anyone posted any picture(s) of the locking mechanism on the upper chest of the YF-19 that differentiates between the 1st version and the 2nd version? I did not get the 1st version but I am getting my 2nd version with the FB in a week or two. Thought I'd ask so that I can make sure that Im getting the 2nd version. Thanks in advance.

1/60 YF-21 - Will you be picking up the 1st release version?
aaajin replied to TheLoneWolf's topic in Toys
Though I wont fully agree with that. the yf-19 was released 3 times already & yet yamato forgot to include the chest locking mechanism; though Yamato should be given credits because its a totally different design than the previous YF-19s/VF-19 releases... -

2nd run for me. Aint got no cash to spare for the 1st release when it comes out... just out of curiousity, who the h3ll voted for Toynami's YF-21 (if they ever managed to produce one)? I bet he's more of a box collector than the toy iteself...but el-cheapo fully transformable 1/100 Mac Plus toys migh be interesting... -

Its funny reading the flow of member's opinions regarding this release (or maybe some of the Macross toys releases in the past). People were initially like, "wow that looks awesome. definitely a must have" and slowly turned "wait, theyre not using the TV fast packs" or "that seam lines are just fugly"...
-
BTW, It's not a Macross product...
-
no...but I do have an idea on how to make use of this problem to our advantage. Its easy; Display it in fighter mode. And buy the new VF-0S for battroid mode. And when they come up with another better version, buy again for gerwalk mode...

yes...we are not alone in this universe...there are other beings that are watching us, rubbing their hands together as they imagine how the world will look like if it falls into their hands.... ehem2..yes there are other forums as well. aaajin

oh man...now my wallet is really gonna cry....shhhh shhh...need to get more funds to buy one o this..
-
or is it just a conspiracy by hlj so that more people will buy their FOC shoulder parts?
-
here's some pictures of the stand alone ghost with the VF-0S..looks kinda neat in battroid mode but too colorful in fighter mode IMO... VF-0S with Ghost and here's VF-0A with the standalone Ghost...this time it looks too colorful in either mode...prolly due to the dull grey colors of the 0A VF-0A with Ghost

how about building them yourself by using some plastic sheets? I forgot what its called but they usually sell em in toy stores.. EDITED : theyre called styrene!

Custom 1/48 VF-1S Minmay Guard "Paris Act" by wickedpr1nce

it seems as though he didnt use any decals for the blue markings...did he? looks like airbrush-ing to me -
After looking back at my VF-0S, I realized that the first version is cool enough to keep me from buying the improved version. I mean, mine didnt come with the ever so popular broken tailspike or broken shoulders, so it should be fine. Im also planning to display it in Gerwalk or Fighter mode on a stand, so it wouldnt bother me that much as far as feet locking mechanism is concern. It will be side by side with an SV-51 which I still havent preordered due to lack of funds... anyways, Im very satisfied & happy with my VF-0S and any more improvements wont be able to break this thick wall of resolution of mine well, maybe if they include a free dunkin doughnut coupon at the back of the box...

wow, from improved ABS shoulders, to crisp paint job & now its opening head cockpit ! Yamato never stop to astound me with their attention to details....just wondering, will they include this feature in the 0S as well?
