  1. haha you got me there. yeah, why? but not sure if collectors are crazy about pin buttons in japan?
  2. that's a steal if its new. In fact, even used would still be a steal too! Thats assuming they dont charge off-the-roof shipping fees...congrats!
  3. You must've gone through a jungle dont you? *hint*
  4. are those even worth the hassle VS buying at a regular store? at the very least, the couldve given a 1/48 claudia figure...or a 1/48 Roy TV suit
  5. Agreed! I wish I could battle this cold weather with the roidS !
  6. My 2 x destroids & YF-19 FP arrived today! Finally, after 3 days of delay due to the weather conditions in minneapolis (schools & universities are closed today due to extreme weather)
  7. Or are they planning a triple release with all the fixes from v1?, i.e picking the high and low hanging fruits, all at once. That'll sure put a huge hole on everyone's wallet..esp those who just have to get multiples. But realistically they'll release them at intervals, allowing buyers to recuperate financially and relieving themselves from the work loads. Or maybe theyre just plain crazy and too hard working and plan to release them all at once? Thatll be epic.
  8. shin was the hero? I thought he's more of a wussy kindof a character ... because ... I thought ... Roy .. was .. the only hero..in the Macross universe? but yeah, I totally forgot Shin was in the 0D most of the time in the earlier parts of the OVA
  9. with arcadia announcing (finger crossed) the 0D, could there be a new Zero series in the future? A new series would definitely help drive the sales up, especially for a non-hero toy. But that makes me wonder, why go for an obscure, non-hero first? Not that I dont like it, in fact I love the design and hope they'll release it, but thats also because Ive owned an 0S before and want something different. Wouldnt a v2 0S be better for sales? Just like what theyre doing on the M-Plus series by releasing a v2 YF-19. Or there isnt enough room for significant improvements on the 0S line?.
  10. sorry for the misinformation. never owned one, so I thought theyre vinyls! Yeah, high price for poseable non-transforming figure is a bummer...
  11. Agreed with that. There was *this one time when I thought Yamato = big toys. The votoms, 1/48 VF-1, etc2 .. those were big at that time. But what puzzled me was why Yamato failed to capitalize on the Zero market when the OVA was out, which spanned over 2 years between 2002-2004? They could have temporarily freeze/scaled-down the VF-1 productions, and focused on producing the VF-0's when the market was still hot. It is not until 2006 that we 1st saw the VF-0S & they were actually still working on the 0D sometime before they went kaput ... which means, their timing was way off and they missed the ride. Producing toys for an OVA that was aired 2 years ago wasn't a smart thing to do, considering the plethora of animes and mangas that were/are pouring out into the market those and these days. In fact it wouldn't be too far fetched to say that their sale numbers may have come primarily from die hard fans, rather than the general public who've seen M-Zero. I mean, who cares about an anime that ended with flower-looking aliens, destroying state-of-the-art military equipments that was aired two years ago, unless you're fan-atics (hey, look at us ). This, and being too aggressive in producing toys for obscure shows (I remembered they released some other mechas too before), while also producing low quality non-transforming vinyls (GNU-what?) instead of focusing on what's hot, may have caused Yamato's demise.
  12. Clear nail polish works wonders. My 22s Gamlin's been holding up pretty well after the nail polish treatment.

  14. Ah, so it will be the *minimalist* paint scheme batch then...M&M, Hikky and betting they'll go with the Alaskan base regardless what we say... A definite pass for me then.
  15. IMHO Arcadia was kindof iffy with their judgement on the market when they use an obsecure hasegawa's 30th paint scheme for their first release. They shouldve stayed on-course with the hero valks or paint schemes that appeal to both the fans and others. Just look at those deeply discounted *colorful* valks that none but few wants... -sigh- I hope they learned their lesson and become a market driven toy company (dunno if thats sounds serious or funny). We'll see what 4 paint schemes they'll announce in WF. Max & Miria are almost given, so two more slots to be filled...Alaskan base rumors (yawn) & X, where I hope X will be something more interesting.
  16. Tooling molds for plastic injection IS expensive, at least they were the last time when I was working with dyson (vacuum cleaners). Even more when it involves more more than two sides of the molds, which depends on the geometry of the parts being produce. But I bet parts for our macross toys arent that complicated and are just 2-directional molds. *reminds me of all the tolerance stacking calculations we had to do to ensure parts fittings*...oh the engineering sweat-shoping days...
  17. kept mine too... 7 years later
  18. Must be a limited production custom made unless theyre Willing to spend way to much money for toolings for that big hella gun that nobody wants at that price point. Unless they make it transformable, which makes it a GU-11 megatron?
  19. Of course we were just joking when predicting an MSRP that low. No company should base the pricing on a message board, lest they want to file for chapter 7 few days after their product release. Well, consumers may have the power to demand a low price point, only if there is competition between companies producing the product in demand. In our case there's only Arcadia. So were screwed. Bandai? I dunno if the YF-19 scene in the last part of MF movie would give them the right to produce YF-19 toys in the future.
  20. Should I reiterate my previous post? So, who's with me?
  21. I think the price should be $150 So, who's with me?
  22. yea I guess I did..but retailers are selling those at that price during that time. If Im not mistaken, mine's from toy-wave. so here's to $200-ish VF-0D. As a size comparison, the 1/60 0S/0A/0D is about the same size of a 1/48 VF-1
  23. I dunno about that but I got my 0S for around $120-ish new. With extra ammunition and dev costs for the mods, hope it will be around 150-ish.
  24. OK. Im sold. Starting to piggy banking from now... was thinking to get a 25A as my sole bandai frontier valk...but now that theyre releasing a dark valk, I think I'll jump on this one instead.
  25. no offense but that looks like a fetish nurse-like robot holding a gigantic shringe! I mean seriously, with the colors that match the pink/white nurse uniform in Japan...
