I guess it can be *fixed* (although fixed shouldnt be used here as we are against the almighty anime magic) by replacing the pivot joint with a sliding pivot joint, or guide-trench on the wings, like the VF-171 to allow the wings to slide up a bit. I mean a little bit fix here and there would help, as the current CAD model looks like the 0D is wearing somekind of a cape.

well umm yeah, both the YF-19 and Scopedog prices are about right, but its getting pretty hard to find those prices anymore out there, at least for the scopedog and the fact that nobody picks Yamato's scopedog molds after its demise (or maybe sombody did?)... as for the YF-19, the only places to get that kinda price in the States are either here (MW), mandarake or jungle. In fact I believe last week jungle was selling the v1 19 at $70-ish, but heard shipping always kills it with jungle. cheers!

$300? I was talking about $70... http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-1553265.html edited : someone grabbed it

Have you collected the right valk to get final satisfaction?
aaajin replied to VALKYRIE ACE PILOT's topic in Toys
Used to be all over the VF-1 when the 1/48 came out...then felt meh when the 1/60 came out since I dont wanna spend more money to reacquire the valks I had. Before that, the Yamato koenig monster was a WoW, but now pale in comparison to Bandai's monster. Then there was a time when the YF-19 was the grail, since it was miles ahead of the 1/72, but which has now become an inferior counterpart of Arcadia's 19. Havent ventured into MacF valks yet, but the 21/22 are the only remaining grails for me. There's just no helping it with this hobby and having multiple grails is normal..both in the space and time continuum. Its always either a better rendition of your grail(s) or a new design that catches your attention, that will be your reincarnated grail. Its like an endless cycle of rebirths of the grail, improved after every cycle. -
OK, someone grabbed a YF-19 for $95. Saw that but not gonna get another after having 2 on my plate. http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-1553266.html There's also a Yamato scopedog at a pretty good price.

rather than having a gashapon sized SDF-1, I'd rather they just re-release the 11B, or the display stand with more adapters.. dont get me wrong, not that I dont like the SDF-1 ... I'd love the gashapon-scale for displaying dioramas, i.e skirmishes with briitai fleet, but the price..urgh sorry for being a d*ck for complaining about the price, but $75 for a gashapon is a bit steep..be it transformable or not.

maybe you can try applying some clear nail polish to the joints...dont have a 17, but for most toys it works wonders! -
Gashapon sdf-1 for $75 will make it a definite no for many fans...
-
4 inch and hardly any complex transformation mechanism for $75? pass!

Might be somewhat related to the thread : Was looking around for a display cabinet (used to have a detolf but looking for a smaller alternative for my reduced-size collection) and found this : http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/90085702/#/80085707 (white is cheaper, $25) and the glass doors : http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40104091/ (the most expensive of the three, $35) and glass bases : http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70104103/#/70110038 ($5 a piece) They come pretty cheap. Good thing is, ikea Billy bookcase system come in larger sizes (height and width), like the one used here : http://www.potf2.com/potj/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=17577

I think I bought either 1/48 my M&M set or CF with VE..cant remember which..but those pics bring back memories when VE was the main dealer here. Reminds me of my 1st low vis from ebay, which was sold to a guy in Aussie. Personally hand carried it to Australia when I visited my sister there! -
great! Thanks for the list!
-
yea, was wondering where all the hype had gone? saw some news/pictures of the other dealers for WF on MW facebook page, but didnt see them here... guess its a graveyard in weekends...
-
so, WF is this Sunday in Japan (or Saturday night in the US) right?

maybe you played with them too much? Im leaving mine as they are, or will even consider glueing the connector if they do become loose by time. I mean, the stand costs $4 a pop, (or $6 if you factor in shipping with SAL to the US)... Edited : I guess these will be very suitable for posing valks in battroid or straight/levelled fighter mode as there is only downward force. I havent tried slanted/banked fighter poses, as I'll need EXO's adapters to be able to do that, but I do remember seeing those (banked fighter poses) in one of the threads.. -

The connectors hold the valks pretty securely. There is some wobbling, but that comes from the stand itself, being only a piece of rectangular rod holding a suspended mass, which is normal. -

This just came in. Wanted to test how fast a registered SAL is to my address, so ordered some cheap Bandai stands from Amiami and they all arrived in 1 week. Pretty fast from Japan to MN, US...but I guess speed is YMMV with SAL. EDITED : OK, I just figured out how to hook up the VF-22S / YF-21 battroid with this stand! An extremely simple mod with no extra parts. Just need to trim one side of the crotch holder and walla! As for the YF-19, Im hooking it up like the ones in this thread : http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=27002 I'll still need EXO's adapters for fighter mode though! Sorry for being out-of-topic. Just got excited! -

aaajin replied to VALKYRIE ACE PILOT's topic in Toys
someone posted an almost similar thread a long time ago : http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=1989 $100+ for a valk was kinda the ceiling that time (1/48 VF-1) and that was before they released the 1/48 FP...then Yamato brought the 19, 21, SV-51, VF-0 bundle that pushed the ceiling even higher. And now is the era where a $200-ish (slighly low or high) is pretty common. But regardless of the price increase, valkaholism may come and go...but the seed will be sown down deep in your nuggin, the moment you get your first valk.. Cheers! you wont be satisfied and you're nuts! as we all are..
