Thanks for the video! But cant help to notice you did not slide in the shoulder fins when in fighter mode. *continue watching*

When was this show again? Dont tell me it was on April 1st Maybe its gundam-ish appeal could drive sales from non-macross fans (?)

Im full. the 19 filled my 19 hunger.

Been reading some heavy stuff since morning, opened MW and saw the cats and valk pics. Totally made my day. Gonna get some coffee now.. (head filled with cats and valks. my readings gone) Hey let us know when you kickstart these!
-
The weight kind of worries me if it topples down. some of the "fragile" joints like the ones of the wing roots could possibly be damaged if the whole weight of the valk is sitting on it. The metal joints on the wings are starting to become less tight after playing with it for a couple of times (pls no "thats what she - or in this case, 'I' said" joke here )...hopefully it wont become loose anytime soon. By far its the best yf-19 representative in toy form, but areas like the wings need extra care when handling. I suppose Arcadia/Mr K couldve made a video (minus voice) on their website to show proper handling/transformation. Shouldnt be that hard for the designers...

The front portion of my 19's feet are slightly loose, i.e there is enough friction to allow it to stand in battroid, but would fall if you shake the table really hard. And by that I mean really-really hard. The heels are pretty tight though. So gerwalk poses are pretty easy.

I like the color in the anime, but not a fan of the toy color. So instead, I'm pairing it with my 2 x VF-22 Gamlin's

Got it today from a local fan who bought two. was told it was new, but I can see that the box locking flaps were folded (folded = opened). Luckily everything inside the box are pretty mint (maybe the guy just wanted to check before selling it - think positive!). The goods : I've to say that the joints on mine are pretty tight. Had to loosen some screws. The neck/head joint is particularly extremely tight. Just like others have mentioned, its pretty heavy with all the metal contents in it. Transformation is pretty intuitive, but looking at the manual does help. I guess the biggest improvement, in terms of linkages and mechanism design, is the way the arm is folded. It feels more fluid and simpler than Yamato's convoluted papercraft arm folding. Also, replacing the hip ball joints with front/side joints is ingenious! The cons : 1) The scary part during transformation was when the nosecone had to be snapped on to the bottom of the battroid chest. The manual doesnt show how it should be slotted there (just one picture showing its "already" there), so I figured I'd just snap it on. Or is it not supposed to be done that way? At 1st trial I was afraid of scratching the red nose lights, but seems like it doesn't, after re-checking it 2-3 times. 2) Another gripe is the joint at the root of the right wing, where the metal bar attaches to, has developed a very faint stress mark which can be seen from the top in fighter mode. Its not too noticeable because of 19's tan, but its there. I've loosen the screw joint just in case and be extra careful when folding the wings. The manual with single graphic showing the wings in folded position, with "instructional arrows" + Japanese texts, also doesn't help. 3) legs Fast Packs are pretty loose, but managed to fit them in. Still, I think they couldve done it better - with magnets!. All in all, I've to say that I am a satisfied customer and will be supporting Arcadia's future releases. Most of my gripes above can be easily rectified if they have a better transformation manual. Here's some quick shots :

Ordered too! funny how we bought the 11B at the same time too before. It was in my cart the for last 1 hour (guess they have 2 B-grades)...contemplating whether its a yay or a nay since Im picking one up tomorrow. But decided to proceed anyways. The 2 will replace my lost love(s) that were sold (sold 1, another still up for takers)

Scored it new from mandarake for $150! really liking the fighter mode, so prolly gonna leave it in that mode. BTW, do you find it *hard* to deploy the rear landing gears? I used a tweezer to pull the front landing gear down (easy), but had to use a lever for the rears. Had to be really careful to not damage the edges of the landing gear bay when using the edges as pivoting points to pry it out. Made me break a sweat. Phew~! -

recycling old parts? Do the YF-29's share the same parts (legs) with the VF-25?
-
is it just me or did bandai changed the underbelly color of ozma's VF-29 to white?
-
guess double nuts and (whats the other called?) will follow, since both have the least paint applications of all the paint-schemes. Or maybe theylll just rerun the regular 19 (if sales are good in this run)
-
Guess I'll hold on with my ol 19 yammies and see if theyll do rerun of these later this year. Pretty sure they will try to milk the mold, but hopefully they wont do a rerun with the VF-1J 30th Anny paint scheme

O'ow, guess Arcadia's going the Bandai's route
