  1. Need to hunt down one valk if the parts are available. Almost got one before, but cancelled at the very last minute because of the horrifying issues/experiences by other members...
  2. Second that. Looks good, but gonna hold out for the after market pricings
  3. big = regult or monster? those are the "big" garage kits Yamato had involved with in the past.
  4. for ECE, look for "e1" markings for Germany (highest standard and hardest to pass) I forgot which country is the easiest to pass (lowest standard) because they want money and testing doesnt come cheap..its somewhere in Europe but cant recall it from the back of my mind (could be Luxembourg)..been too long a go since I was involved in a certification project.
  5. I take that back. Well, a quick google shows that ECE is UNECE (ECE 22 for helmets) : http://www.unece.org/fileadmin/DAM/trans/main/wp29/wp29regs/r022r4e.pdf So yeah I stand corrected..
  6. If they do go the phalanx route, I think they would do well. I know, "remember what happened to the destroids, yada yada yada"...but now that the bargain-bin tomahawks and defenders are all swept out of the market, the ones left are not so cheap anymore. Plus, the collectors who bought the tomahawk and defender will now need the phalanx to complete their destroid line... Plus, development time should be relatively short since theyre picking up where Yamato left. I'd say its a gamble, but a less risky one than when they released the previous destroids.
  7. Oh, my bad. I thought they test all vehicle parts including helmets but I guess not.
  8. Bandai is too mainstream.
  9. Guess Ive gotta chime in when it comes to vehicle safety. The only safety standard I've known to be of high assurance is the UNECE WP29 (a UN body that regulate safety standards on vehicle parts, you can google it) with 'e1' marking. The number following the 'e' marking denotes the country in which the certification was issued (and where it was tested). 'e1' = Germany, is the hardest to pass among all the countries that are involved in the program.
  10. One is printed on the shirt, while the other is an actual 19...
  11. I believe only v1 1/60 YF-19 Yamato landing gear is crooked..they fixed that in v2 (fold booster pack version)
  12. Yeah, and transform it with my little grubby microscopic fingers?
  13. Hey thats the 1st lego brick for my 1/60 SDF-1..
  14. nooo...I owned 3 YF-19 Yamato, sold all to replace them with the Arcadia and perfectly happy about it. Or you can own both versions, and keep Yamato's in fighter without showing the gullet. The Yamato looks fine in fighter mode, except for the gullet and the floppiness.
  15. Archie w fastpacks AND weapon set. Owned ol Yamato's and Arcadia's, Despite the numerous complaints, in terms of design Arcadia's is miles better than Yamato's.
  16. glad to see my 25F has found a good home.
  17. Woke up this morning and the status was changed to "Arrival at mpls". And just got my item today when I went back for lunch! Seems like with SAL, sometimes there's a "quantum leap" between ISC New York and your local post office.. So far, zero lost package with SAL for me, but I've always and will only use SAL when the package is cheap. Hope you'll get yours soon!
  18. what actually happened? Did it vanished at ISC New York? I have one package (not the 19, much cheaper) sitting there since April 8th..hopefully it will come to papa soon! EDITED : April, not Jan..man winter sucks in mpls
  19. Seems like the new 19 has entered the secondary market @ drake, same release price aka high, so no harm in telling ... But judging from the price (maintained, not considerably lowered) probably its a good sign for arcadia.
  20. If they can release the 11 bundled with full body armor, and charge $400++, Im sure there will be an increase in demand..but by how much will again depends on the price..
  21. Looking at the prices of the previously-released-Yamato toys, Arcadia should really consider reissuing the VF-11B/11C or the VF-4 without any design change (i.e retooling old molds and start productions) since both are highly sought for nowadays. VF-11 could be priced in the $200-300 range, while the VF-4 in the $300+
  22. The thread feels rather "saturated" after the toy was released and everyone started to post pictures of the 19. So...what's next? Is there any upcoming toy fest, within the next couple of months, where Arcadia will be participating?
  23. whatever they'll throw at us, I'll just stick with the motto : "in Kawamori we trust" and enjoy the ride. unless if Kawamori is not involved, which is highly unlikely. so, any new hints from Japan sites/blogs?
  24. OK, I take back what I said about Macross F. Its awesome. I had my initial opinions about MacF based on the 2 x movies (because Im too lazy to watch the whole season of 26 episodes) After watching the series halfway, gotta say my issue with the "songstress background music whenever there's action" only occurs 99% in the movies..much less in the anime, which is pretty good. Now that Im less busy, started to watch it last Sunday and now I'm on episode 14. Im all OK if they go the MacF route for the new series, but for sure would like it better if its...er...better?
