Looks like the same stand I have for my 30th

Not sure if this has been posted, but found some LED puck lights that a macross collector (not sure if he's a member here) used for his display. Comes with a remote for on/off/dimmer functions and are battery operated, hence no cables & easy to install : Theyre called "Lightmates" at my local Sam's club & Amazon, but they are also available with different brand names at other places (forgot where, been a while since I searched them ) Some guys are also selling them for $5 on ebay and the remote is $7. Pretty cheap alternative compared to ikea's (well, minus the batteries)

I dont dig the boosters, just the shoulder missile pads in battroid mode. Fighter mode best left naked.
-
LoL! Was gonna point that it looks like blue chips held together by hot glue but you beat me to it. On a related note : Why arcadia whyyy?
-
$230 for those 4 pieces? sheesh... might need to spend a weekend to re-learn CAD from college and shapeway mine..to bad this time of the year is a busy time for me.
-
drats. shapeway parts anyone? at least for the shoulder armors...
-
has a WF item ever became a mass-production item before due to high-demand? (with real license acquired after the event) seeing how the 19's were selling well, maybe there is a chance this can go mass pro? Well, that is as long as bandai is willing to sell their partial rights (if that even exists)

Me too (or me "nine-hundred-and-ninety-nine" in line) The fp's are simple, yet they amplify the badassery of the battroid mode. Me likey. Edited : I really like the shoulder armor looks in battroid, but not too sure about the boosters. Maybe some MW member can make a shapeway parts for the shoulder armor? I'll get 2 for my 19's

Quick YF-21 question---should the belly plates fit together out of the
aaajin replied to David Hingtgen's topic in Toys
The crack on mine is pretty subtle, so after super glue-ing it and few wipes with high grit sandpaper (cant remember which one I used, lol) makes it unnoticeable, unless if you look on it real hard. But then again, mine is a Gamlin, so black makes it less noticeable. Its in fighter mode now, and not that I dont want to transform it to show the said area, but the last time I did that, I spent almost an hour (or two - time really flies when transforming the 21/22) to get it sit flush back in fighter mode and its getting pretty late here in Central. I'll see what I can do next weekend. But it shouldnt be too hard for you since (thank God) Yamato did not use any glue on the thigh area. But I agree that Yamato shouldve designed the thighs to be more robust. EDITED : just make sure you use small drabs of superglue and dont apply too much glue on it. Prepare some wipes to wipe the excess glue ASAP when the 2 sides of the crack are clamped. -

aaajin replied to David Hingtgen's topic in Toys
One of my 2 x Gamlin's VF-22 has similar crack, but less severe than yours, based on the pictures above. You can actually unscrew the thigh and super glue the crack. The upper legs are held together by screws, so they can be disassemble pretty easily. On mine, I just disassemble the leg, pry the crack line, apply super glue between the cracks, let it dry, screw it back = all done. Then sand it a little with a super-fine grit sand paper (2000-3000). Caution : do not apply pressure while sanding, just 3-4 wipes should be good. But then again, my crack is less severe than yours. From the pictures, seems that one of the corners seems to be broken, where the ball joint slots into the thigh. Maybe you can just sand the corner (?) -

Sorry to hear that. Hope you'll find a replacement soon. They pop up every so often on ebay, its just a matter of timing. Own several of the recent releases from Arcadia and Bandai, but for some reasons, they dont hold a special place like these JM do. And Im on a JM-rush, cant seem to stop searching for more! -

JM morning excercise~! -
noob question. is there a difference between panel washing and panel lining? does panel washing involves smearing the surface with black water-soluble ink, then wiping the surface? (so that the ink will get in the panel lines?) anyways, I think I personally like it clean, but would consider paneling it sometime in the future

I know! Same thing has been said again-n-again, many years before, but Bandai seems to care less about this line. Or their mold has deteriorated and its just too expensive to justify fixing them -
glad I waited for this version. Looks menacing in darker colors!

Group shot : I would like to thank EXO for donating his JM parts for this custom (and future customs). Also thanks to the members on this board who gave tips & advice on the custom. Will be working on my next custom in free time when time permits, most probably end the year. Thinking of customizing 2 recast copies that EXO sent me : 1) YF-19 JM theme, using a complete recast copy 2) Construction Destroid JM theme, using a partially complete recast copy (ref pic)
