yep I noe..there's another weathered one, sitting on the shelf, not selling at 10k *cheaper* on manda..
-
speaking of fast packs, these were sold : http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-1900723.html while there is another one NOT selling at 10k Yen cheaper...oh well
-
I dont know how in the hell did I score that too. Wasnt even looking for anything, just randomly checking the site and boom, it was there. Same thing with the sv-51 from Jungle last week. Sorry man, wasnt my intention to valk-block. Just pure luck.

these popped up when my Hikaru 1S needed some armor : http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-1694366.html

from jenius's blog : http://anymoon.com/blog/?p=3724 and another member's (forgot who!) : http://www.collectiondx.com/toy_review/macross_robotech/vf_19_blazer_valkyrie If youre getting a 19 hi metal, maybe the blue 19S would be a better choice for its extra features (see reviews)

Thanks. Dont know why nobody wants it or I was just there at the right moment. I wasnt even checking it frequently... Maybe all 8 planets were on a straight line the day I ordered it -
Make the integrated landing gears + doors and heatshield from metal. Oh, and make them cheaper than the 1/60. I know, smaller doesnt necessarily means cheaper. Smaller dimensions with smaller tolerance with the same plastic material will definitely make the Cpk value (process capability) low, hence not within the 6-sigma tolerance control. Usually what people/design engineer would do (at least in dyson) is either substitute the material with better (more expensive) plastic or go metal for smaller parts that need to be durable (sintering/wirecut/etc - but more expensive). Or metal stamping (?) - not an area Im familiar with. Point is, I dont care how they do it, but they need to, if they want me to throw my moneh. Otherwise I will find it hard to appreciate the "improvements", but thats just me. I'll just drool over online pics like I did on the ol Hi-Metal line . But prolly I'll get the destroids this time. EDITED : Re-read your comment and I too am optimistic that the Hi-Metal line will do better this time due to the relatively higher price tags for the premium stuff that Arcadia set.
-
I'd buy a couple (at least a 1S Roy & a 1J Hikkie + GBP) if theyre re-engineered to integrate the heat shield and landing gears.
-
Integrated heatshield & landing gears before anything else!
-
That or because of its straight side edges...hurmm..
-
the Ol Yamato's Koenig and Toynami's VF-1 should be around 1/100. A pic from my old setup to get a feel of the size if Bandai were to make a 1/100 Monster :
-
Im interested in the price and how Bandai will address the gaps & landing gears. Prolly wont buy, prolly wont buy, prolly wont buy... (keep telling that to myself)

Cant complain at $140! -
High speed mode anyone? https://www.flickr.com/photos/97939553@N02/15664673599/in/set-72157647080275014/ Similar hinge mechanism as Arcadia's

seems like the gaps are there due to the lowered legs/hips position when using fast packs. Problem is, the legs are too slim (vertically) that they do not have enough heights to cover the gaps with the wing roots, unlike Aracadia's more bulkier legs, where the gaps are filled with the fast packs thickness. That, or the VF-Advanced are not supposed to have lowered hips when using fast packs (since its a different bird than the YF) and an avid fan of a YF mistransformed it during the show (?) I still think the YF is a better looking bird (both battroid & fighter) ! sorry for the "unrelated" pics :
-
Prolly now is the time to sell since its going to be R-evised, R-etool, R-eboot,R-ebuild and so on...
-
I wonder if there are more pics of it in fighter mode... I'd imagine there would be more pics online by now, since it'll be a deal maker/breaker for a lot of people ...
-
thats what I thought initially until I saw the parts behind the front canards are fitted correctly. there's just no way the wing roots are going inwards any further. Only way is for bandai to redesign the shield to make it wider (and push the shoulders/legs outwards (?) )
-
gaps are too wide for me. prolly going to pass ... or are the parts not fitted/transformed correctly in fighter mode(?). But from the looks of it, they couldve covered the gaps easily with a wider shield.
-
wow these are surely unexpected. Bandai's going to milk whatever possible variants they can think of...Think of the possibilities! GBP, zentran soldiers, glaug, destroids, Q-raus, Nsdoeljer-whatchamacallit and a plethora of VF, VT, VE etc2... Going to get these for a group-shot display IF they revise the hi-metal VF-1 (hence, the revised name : hi-metal R) to include : 1) integrated landing gears. 2) integrated heatshield. 3) integrated hands.

This just came in from jungle! B-item, but from inspection seems to be in really good condition! -
Oh no its not a specific software, just using an android phone you can take a full (or partial) spherical 360 degees picture. In short, a photosphere. You can then use the image, your phone (with an app), and a Virtual Reality cardboard kit (that you wear as a goggle) to look at the image in a VR setting. The phone acts as the screen and the gyro in the phone will detect your head's movements (tilt/turn), recreating the experience of being in the ARMD itself!

My Custom 1/60 Yamato No Paint Build Kit! Work in progress
aaajin replied to darthmayhugh's topic in The Workshop!
Cant wait to see when its done! BTW, what masking tape did you use?. The lines look crisp -
looking at it again makes me realize that its not proportionally balanced in fighter mode. too much focus on battroid. easy pass for me & still happy with the ol JM's. Nothing against the toy, and hope those who find it cool could appreciate its aesthetics.
