Macross Δ (Delta) - announcement thread
aaajin replied to renegadeleader1's topic in Movies and TV Series
my only hope is bandai will release a DX cheyene destroid. I reserve my judgement until they air the 1st episode, but from the overall looks, seems like frilly-girly type of show (which I hope I am wrong)...meh.- 2715 replies

thats really good, using sketchup at that. was wondering if $200-$250 price range is for a 3d-print or a molded/recast parts?
-
my thoughts exactly. dont need no dynamic poses to look good on its own. and transformation is a breeze & intuitive (at least for me).
-
Finally preordered mine at a deflated price! Scalpers be gone...thanks Arcadia!
-
EMS shipping will be north of $100....
-
27k yen? Hell yeah! 1 for fighter & 1 for battroid then.
-
great to know this gets a reissue. Looking at how Arcadia goes in the order of the cheapest licese + highest market price first, I'm guessing next one will be either : a) VF-11-B/C or b) super strike packs
-
we need moar pictures of the ostritch and elintseeker!
-
Short answer = yes. Depends on your preferences though. I like the beefier, 90's battroid looks, so its a no brainer its Arcadia's for me. Plus Bandai's spam tampo displeases my eyes (j/k) They should donate one of their tampo machines to the needy (hint)

Having worked in a similar field, I can relate to what he's saying. Reminds me of the ton of works, from CAD drawing, pages upon pages of tolerance stacking (material selection & dimensions all affect the tolerance which have to be carefully selected to ensure parts fitting), prototyping, testing, tooling ... oh the agony But I'm quite surprised with their amount of scrap (65-78%). Don't use statistical methods much (Process capability, etc2) ?

same here, but then theyre all sold out. luckily prices on ebay dropped & recent ebay giftcard promotions (now expired) helped to make the deal even sweeter. item arrived from HK in a week too, which was pretty fast.

Your most recent Macross or toy purchase! General thread.
aaajin replied to Gakken85's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
second that. most B items I bought were between OK-ish and great, except for the ... SV-51 ivanov whose thighs disintegrated at the slightest touch on both legs (previous owner's fault). Had to use my super-glue-ing "skills" to put them back together like humpty dumpty. Cant blame Jungle, since I dont expect them to inspect each toy thoroughly. Its like playing russian roulette. -
Wow at $275 price point w/o shipping...might as well add a Benjy & get a Yamato SDF-1 from a member here (shameless plug, not mine) http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=42911#entry1218884

oh, so now the color depends on the weather?

Since boxes are made from wood, they must be a good source of fiber ... why waste money on veggies & fruits? Better to spend them on more plastics ... But seriously, Kickers and master-of-macross must have warehouses full of boxes. Would also love to see how you manage to get them stored spanner!

I can still clearly remember the first time I transformed Arcadia's YF-19. It was pretty smooth, from fighter to battroid and back to fighter. Initially I was a bit afraid that it would be a complex, floppy-mess, as I remembered when handling Yamato's YF-19 (I did not own the new Yamato's VF-19 line) but I was surprised by how smooth the transformation was. In fact I would rate it to be even easier to transform than the VF-1 ver2. Bandai's version looks pretty, especially with all the tampo prints and its action "mecha" looks, but its a shame to hear complaints on the transformation and gappiness, since the transformation sequences should be almost identical to Arcadia's. I will prolly get one of these if they release it in a different paint scheme. Hopefully by that time Bandai will at least revise the sheild design to cover the gaps between the legs in fighter mode. For now, I'll just feast my eyes with pictures from this thread.

how can you not love this?
