Beware of Blast

My colorings are all done in CorelDRAW 9 as I'm not very good with Photoshop. So I'm really using the mouse too, which used to drive me insane. But trust me, as you get a better handle of the software you're using, that hassle becomes nothing. I've also tried using the Wacom Tablet to color stuff in Photoshop and CorelDRAW, but it's really nothing extraordinary that a good mouse couldn't handle imo - It's also so much more expensive compared to a good mouse, and there is a learning curve that you gotta master, on top of scratching your head with learning the software already. Btw, the airbrush feature is available in Photoshop. With the right color, pressure, masking and the multiple layers, you can make smooth coloring magic with it! Good luck!

Hey guys, I'm glad you're enjoying the line-art. I reconstructed (redrew) the lineart by tracing bake_art's original scan, in CorelDRAW, then, I exported the line-art in a bigger scale. If you're more familiar with Adobe Illustrator, you can also use that to make the sharp and crisp line-arts as well. Both CorelDraw and Adobe Illustrator are vector softwares. You can also use Macromedia Freehand for the line-art and stuff. Once you're done constructing the line art, you can export the line-art into Photoshop as .tiff or .jpeg files, or as Illustrator paths for your coloring work. Hope this helps!

I like both. In fact, I really like this particular valkgirl piece so much I trip myself over to color it when you ask for the Low-Vis Scheme. I know it's a little late, but I made another line art master of your valkgirl, the last time I colored her. So I hope you can make good use of it now that it's sharper and have more "canvas" space for you to airbrush in Photoshop. Da Huge Valkgirl line art!!!

If any good is to come out of this, the Watchdog group should focus on giving education. NOT indoctrination. Most kids are not stupid at all these days. Most parents may not have a lot of time for their children, but they do take time to educate their children the differences. Stuff like these have always been marketed as a form of entertainment. So what if everything else is watered down and tame? The same people who criticized these products for being too violent, will turn around and say the entertainment creators are now creatively-challenged or they don't make toys like they use to. If watchdog groups are worried, they should just get the entertaiment makers to insert some comprehensively-written leaflets to educate the young consumers against REAL violence. But then again, I guess it's always so much easier for these people to make a huge HOO HAA instead of realistically dealing with the situation at hand - especially when it's not the lousy back seat drivers' rice bowl that is at risk.

I second the 8 Legged Freaks nomination. The only thing that made it bearable is the CG. Other than that, I want back my ticket money and the time spent.

There were several members here who were actively involved with their own fanfiction of Macross back in the day. skullone, cpt of the sdf macross and CaptRico are some of them just to name a few... I'm sure there are much more. Hope they come back and see this thread.

Here's another idea... telescopic smokes stacks!!! Made easy for grown-up fans to pull up, but hard for small children to pull up them selves. All Hasbro need to do is, bring in the Takara versions, spray the battle damage, and pack Prime with his smoke stacks retracted. That way, grown-up fans will know what to do. They can also print a surgeon general box on the packaging conspicuosly that's saying something to the effect that, ...the smoke stacks are fragile, extending the smoke stacks are for cosmetic purpose only.

This is very bad. The toy isn't even out yet, and I'm getting a boner just by looking at the transforming pictures. I'm also wincing in pain at the same time, everytime I catch sight of the neutered stacks.
