Ass kicking! But EXO's right age shouldn't be a deterrent for anything - unless we're talking about middle age naked bungee jumping, or kawaii cosplay after 50 here. Just keep doing it till it gets better. Grip yer pencils till they relent and give you the stuff you want or you refuse to let them rest. But then again, this girl seems to have alot of discipline - something important which I lack.

HahaHAha! Man, that was SO badly done, Mikimoto would cry! Now please excuse me while I go find me a hole to hide.

The old Claudia pencil sketch was done as one of the "Chotto Matte!!!" series of pencil sketches. I don't have that file in my HD now, but it's not any good (imo) so, for those of you who have not seen it, you're not missing anything at all.

If they ever make a VF to the GI JOE huge vehicle scale, I would say the VF won't be a perfect variable toy. The GI JOE huge vehicles offer a different proposition at an affordable to premium price. And it focuses on the value of playing with the pilot action figure, along with some decent amount of achievable features on the vehicle, rather than just displaying it. The VF that is talk about here will cost astronomical! Seriouly folk, it would be great if they make one. But this is the stuff that Macross fanboys dream about, and drool when guys like John Moscato sacrifices some time of his life to make one.

Deja vu? I did a Claudia a year back, that pic was about her lying on her back in a different attire. This one is new.

Yeah, aside from the right leg, the left ankle, her left hand and some other minor details need abit of work. Thanks guys!

Late to the show I know... Jung, mad skillz you've got there. I agree with the others who have said it - this is the best 1/48 custom I've seen so far.

Is Energon cool or what?
Beware of Blast replied to Beware of Blast's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
LOL! I know but I can empatize their complaints. The problem with most of the current deluxe and ultra Energons, is that they lack the charm that the basic Energons have - well-designed robot modes. I mean, they are suppose to retain that full-humanoid look, but they are either without a visible lower torso, or something is missing, or doesn't look quite right overall. Although I must admit, Landmine and Starscream seems okay for both modes as far as the bigger Energons are concerned. Most of everything else are just upper torso and then, you get the legs. We don't have that kind of problem with most G1 toys, despite the lack of articulation. The extra articulations for all the Energons are nice though but it seems like they compromised too much to have them, or didn't try hard enough to get a good bot design. -
Heya! It's been awhile. Some friends have been asking - so I made a quick one of my favourite Macross gal. The title also happens to be one of my favourite songs - OooOooooOOo... About some fanart requests, I'm still gonna do them. So sorry for the delay. I've just been very busy with work. Maybe I'll submit on 2005 when Unicron comes ta devour da planet. Just kidding. Please enjoy! http://www.yellowlightman.com/mfc/displayimage.php?pos=-391 Oh yeah, if you want the larger picture, just click on the picture in the link.

Now, now. I'm not Hasbro or Takara's salesman, but I've just gotten Skyblast, Divebomb and Strongarm, and I gotta say this - Go get them fast! They are so much fun to play with, poseable and they're cheap! For such small toys, they quite well-articulated. Their tranformation is so simple, and yet, they're well-thought out and sophisticated enough for this Macross VF fan. Their panel lines are well-impressioned on the cheapy hard plastic - beautiful and sturdy. Their cosmetic appearance in their robot and alternate modes are lovely, you get designs of sleekness or blockiness within reason. You won't look at the toys (while on display) and go, "Eh?" like the kinds of doubt one would get from looking at any Armada or RiD toys. I get the idea that certain amount of time and love have been put into them. Especially for the three Energon bots that I have. And Strongarm has a waist joint too! He's somekind of a futuristic 4WD all-terrain vehicle that tranforms into a robot with the kind old skool-ish funky ugly, blocky design that I dig. I simply love this guy. Now I know, of the three I have, Divebomb seems to be THE popular choice with most TF fans, with Skyblast coming in a close second; but Strongarm just said, "hello" and grabbed me. I'm the kid who constantly play with that one toy and sleeps with it again. I dunno, maybe it's his design, his color combination, maybe maybe it's the Energon axe! He has his quirks though - his feet, but they are quickly dispelled with a little imagination. I haven't buy any of the larger deluxe bots yet, but they seem to have several misses as well as hits. Landmine is the best so far, but he's not stylishly beautiful nor funky ugly enough for me. He has a nice color combination though. I'm starting to have faith again in TF toys... don't get me wrong, I mildly liked the Beast Wars and some of the Beast Machines toys; I also love the deluxe Dinobots most of all, but I'm more drawn to mechanically-styled robots than the organic looking ones. Skyblast, Divebomb and Strongarm, has so far proven to me that Energon is almost everything that RiD and Armada are not. And they have been the best cheapy tranforming toys I've seen so far. They're even cheaper than the MSiAs. I'll be paying attention to their future releases.

Crazy crap! Now my nephew wants me to play it on loop.

Ya, I remember your sig. I too was disappointed because I supported the swappable heads idea as well. But looking back even from the 80s, BW and their Macross licensees have never done this, except for the recent Banprestos valks. The Banprestos valks were probably too crappy so they were forced to throw in the extra heads to sweeten the product. The worse BW and Yamato could do now is re-release all the 1/60s and 1/48s later, all of them, with the swappable heads included - after we've all bought up the rigid remainder of the current ones. Now that's evil! If that happens, we'll definately set their nests (and Graham's) on fiyaa!
-
bake_art, it's a good thing your masterpiece gerwalk mode artwork is not a centrefold on a magazine... I would have cut my tongue.
-
What I doubt is that Yamato was ever pushing hard to supply swapp-able heads. I doubt they would have done so even if BW had said yes. And, yes, I'm saying it's entirely possible that Yamato "passed the buck" to BW. Instead of angering the community, they can just say: "Well, we wouldn't have been allowed to do so, even if we wanted to. . . sorry." Not exactly a lie. More like spin. H There had been no evidence that Yamato "passed the buck" to anyone. Everything else have all been hearsay. The non-greenlighting of the swappable heads is obviously decided so that BW and their licensees can profit more - something which I doubt Yamato would ever be against. Why would they wanna fight the money? It's just something that is ethically wrong to the average consumer, but on the flipside, it's okay because "Marketing for profit" says so.

I'm from KL. If you're gonna justify spending your RM200+ budget between the Macross figs and the BT Subaru, that will be tough man. If it helps, there are still quite alot of the BT Subarus in usual KL shops. The Macross figs on the otherhand... that set you see might be your last.
-
That's not a bad price, if the mystery figure is included. If the going price is RM110 for one set of 5 figures (which is the norm), you're paying roughly about RM70 for that Minmay doll alone. Pretty steep (to me) for gashapon-level toys... but it's not too bad since that is quite rare.

Hehehe, too many questions that only insiders can answer for sure. BoB is no insider. He is just a fan of these figures. Maybe they are saving up the Macross Plus characters for another 'Plus-only set? They may have not even taken up the 'Plus license - so there might not be a 'Plus set or singles of these figures at all. Who knows? But no matter what Macross figs CMS might have in store for us, I'll definately look forward to buying them. They've all been really excellent figures so far.
-
So what next in line? What comes after Roy Focker & Co.? No idea. But I bet it'll have a Max and Millia in the group. I hope they'll make a Sivil too. I think they should also make another set that focus only on the Macross Bridge bunnies. That will be the coolest!
-
They are excellent. The sculpts are very close to the anime characters, the paint job quality is good. They are also getting more difficult to find by the day. Get them when you find them. Btw, the next set looks very promising too.

I don't know about humidity playing a role in the yellowing of plastics... but they are known to affect the quality of the stickers overtime. I was told that if yellowing doesn't come from the natural UV rays, it will difinately happen with the change in temperature. The dried atmosphere of climate-controlled cases or rooms will also affect yellowing. If the plastic is not white, it will also yellow. The dyes or colors of the plactics will not be as vibrant as it was new. Unless they are protected from the initial manufacturing stage, plastic yellowing is inevitable for most toys I'm afraid.

Man, Sivil IS indeed a pretty devil. She's so hot, even her pictures alone can absorb spiritia. Even my buddy thinks so. Honest! He really expressed it the moment he lost his spiritia with that subtitle! -
Ha! Agent Smith... a mod will set your nest on fiya.
