These gals make me smile!

I was hoping to score me some series 2, CMS Macross gashapon yesterday, but no luck yet. I didn't go home empty handed however... Got me some Chobits stuff instead. Made by KONAMI & YAMATO, this 3rd Series set of 5 collection is based on the linearts of lovely Chobits girl characters from the TV Animation. I've got 3 figures of Chii in different poses and costumes - first the candy girl, the uniform and Chii in her pyjama costumes. One Sumomo in her famous tamborine pose and Yuzuki in her usual maid costume. This time, the special rare figure is the ultra sexy Freya in her famous dark Chii getup. All Sculpted by Takeshi Miyagawa (T's System), Made in China of the usual ATBC-PVC, ABS gashapon materials. The figures' heights range from 1" to 4.5". For age of 14+ (physical and mental). The sculpt and paint works are excellent. The overall quality of the 3rd series is comparable to the first Chobits gashapon set and are in MANY ways better than the badly sculpted 2nd set. All the character faces are very close to the drawings in the TV series. I particularly find candy girl costume Chii to be the best of the lot, although many of you might disagree - cuz the dudes and dudettes that looked at my set in person, all seem to agree it's Freya. But she don't count. She's the special figure. Now for the pictures... Oh, better get yours before they only offer the usual set without Freya.

Me too. But it isn't difficult to find out if a gal like that is legal or no. Just buy her a drink (when you guys are hanging out during lunch), if she's asked for her ID, then you'll know for sure! Here's another pretty picture of her Chii cosplay. Chii didn't save this thread. I did.

Wow. I take back....75% of the bad things I've said about cosplay. Too bad she looks about 16 years old. Come on don't be a pessimist. She's not 16. At least not according to her resume. Not all hot gals who look like that are automatically illegal. When it comes to it, we can still have a look at her ID no?
-
No way! Before my secretary joined us, her resume specifically spelled, S I N G L E. I hope she didn't singalingam me though. If she did, I might have ta spank her.

Lat-Long: 3° 9' 47" , 101° 41' 41" || 3.1631 , 101.6948 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. From most of your coodinates, any rotten vegetables throw my way will land in da ocean. MuaHAHAHAHA! -
i often wonder the same thing dude... It's the kind of ballz that regular guys would never grow on them, that are sought after by the hot chickz. Oh, and these hot girls do cosplay in the skin tight stuff - they do it for guys with that kinda ballz in private. And they never needed cups to bait such blessing. Lucky bastards! Laddies, we oughta learn from them!

If the sillhouette is any indication of the actual secret item, what would it be?
-
See, it's a good thing I'm astute enough to hide that strobing gif from my secretary. Let me just say this - if she foams under my table, I won't be the cause of it!!! I doubt you even have a secretary.....hehe. Quiet you! You're suppose to concentrate on yer epilepsy.

Thanks for your concern. I'm actually having my secretary under my desk right now, so I think I'll be fine.

Ya know, if ya make your picture strobe at a higher speed with brilliant flashes of white, some of us will really drop like flies, twich all over the body, and start foaming in the mouth.

I'm really wondering... does his real voice (if it's really low) turn to a higher pitch with something that tight. Or vice versa.

Fatty Tetsujin28GO is coming to SOC land!

Haha, ya know, that kind of reminds me of some dicussions I had with a friend, a little different, but all the same - Is Tetsujin28 mecha or super robot, if Mazinger Z is super robot, how is T28 mecha? The thing is, I've always felt that the original T28 story revolves around Shotaro and the rest of the cast, rather than T28 himself. He only comes in whenever it's his cue. And yet, he is never the final answer to the shows' problems, unlike most super robot shows. Although he's intrumental in winning the fights, he's more like a supporting character that stole the show in the end. This formula has always been evident in Yokoyama's anime - even in Giant Robo The Animation, where Yokoyama was least involved. Kinda like Patlabor or Macross but not quite. This is how I see T28 as a mecha and find him totally different from Go Nagai's super robots. The parts where we might see T28 as a super robot, are his fights with the other robots but that comes on much in the later chapters. Even so, his lack of beam weapons and total dependence on Shotaro's commands alone makes him a mecha. Nothing more. But that's just my personal takeaway of Fatty T28. You're right about Fatty being the father of ALL anime fighting robots though - from super to real. As for how T28 fans in MW, not sure. But I think we're all here in this thread already. Btw, I have heard that Go Nagai was a T28 fan before too but nothing concrete. You're the second person I'm hearing it. -

Hm, I dunno, it's funny that many people would see Fatty Tetsujin28 and his bros as super robots, but I see him more as a mecha. Although the differences are as blurred as compared to Mazinger Z sometimes, if any of you have seen any of the earlier Tetsujin28 anime or Gigantor cartoon, he's more mecha than a super robot. In fact, if Go Nagai's Mazinger Z is considered as the father of super robots, I dare say Tetsujin28 is the father of mechas. But SOC is becoming a funny toy line - after the inclusion of Dancougar and the Eva units you never know. I'd say if it is popular with the Japanese, anything is possible when it comes to Bandai. Except of course for Macross. Cuz Yamato PWNED!!! them. -
G.I Joe Transformer?!?!?
Beware of Blast replied to renegadeleader1's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I find Snow Cat (thanks Eriku) to be one of the more bearable designs among the many Energon bots released so far, but his bot mode is still a little too off for me, cuz his chest is too large and far out, versus his hip; being too small. Now if his colors resemble directly, or at very least, resemble as close as the GI Joe's version of design it was derived from, that will mask that imperfection. I'd love it more for the right kind of sheer funky ugliness of it. -

I don't have anymore news about the live-action movie... if this recent production set picture below is any indication of the color, I'd say retro. But then again, that kinda look just like the prototype picture above - don't know if this is good or bad. -
convoy?? it;s optimus prime!!! Um, he may be Prime now, but he started as Convoy in Japan. Without Convoy, Optimus Prime in Tranformers could be the fruity VW with horns. trasnformers is an american cartoon. the rOriginal prime toy was called convoy, besdies optimus prime is much better. the first and the greatest vs truck. which would you rather have your name mean? Despite the bland names and humble beginning, the Diaclones came first. By not acknowledging that fact, your beloved Transformers could be anything else but what we have today. Yes, Transformers is an American cartoon, it's also nothing more than a protracted commercial for Japanese toys. Know the facts before you correct people's harmless typo. Besides, many TF fans know the differences and are not as particular as you.

Ah, patience fellas, if SOC has Combattler V, Voltes V is sure to come. Along with the rest of Tadao Nagahama's work... Daimos and Daltanias. From the start, I was one of them who thought SOC will never make a Tetsujin28. But since it finally happenned, what's to stop his sleek 80's version from being made? Eriku, I knew this would be great new for you. Your SOC version is finally a reality! Btw, I think SOC Fatty will have more articulation over the old Soft Garage, Marmitt and Medicom versions. If my eyes don't deceive me, his insteps have articulation. I also think he will be given a waist joint. Hope this time, his head can turn too! -

Hm, I don't know the exact measurements, but estimating from the turntable size (which is usually around 8" in diameter) he could be six to seven inches tall. With his body mass, he is easily larger/fatter than the GX07 Mazinger. -
And some of you complained that I draw my girls too skinny. Compared to Yamato's Q-rau, and now this 1/48 Millia pilot, I've been too extremely kind I tell you!!!

The news is out for sometime already... I'm so getting it! He's gonna be Bandai's GX-24 if I'm not wrong. Right after Zanbot 3. Oh my wallet! This Fatty T28 the of the latest live-action movie version.
