Exactly. This ain't Carl Macek and Harmony Gold trying to get some rights; this is a major Hollywood flick. Even Robotech.com and Tommy Yune can't touch it (They didn't even know about the movie til the public did! lol) But then again, there was that whole Transformers "rights" thing as well. But they seemed like they didn't care enough to stay true to the original visuals... so they just went their own way. They were more concerned with paying Megan Fox millions to bend over (which, was probably the best part of the movie) than to to buy some VW licenses or something. Either that, or the classic VW wasn't cool enough for Micheal Bay and his dumb shaky cameras. (who really knows? Maybe the studios got a better deal with that other car company...) The point is, they can stay true to the original, they just want to do what they want... Like I said, as long as Micheal Bay has nothing to do with Robotech, I'll watch it. BTW, who the heck is Tommy Tune anyways? I just know he's some Korean guy with hair who wrote a bunch of average Robotech comic books. Why does that guy feel the need to advertise his name, as if he's Captain Gloval or banged Lynn Minmay or something?? I'm sick of that guy and his hair. In fact, I'm sick of Micheal Bay's hair, too.

You know, as long as the VF's resemble the original VF's, I'll be happy. Just don't give us a bunch of sloppy monster-looking robots like what we saw in Transformers.

Well, maybe I shouldn't have said "great"... I guess I was just talking about the song I posted. Lately, I've been checking out her work (new and old). I do agree that she should be playing a real piano with a richer sound than with a top of the line Radio Shack/Casio/Yamaha keyboard. That's for sure. And yeah, her early stuff has some kind of magic to it (obviously, fresh off the Minmay boat). But I also must say, UNSPEAKABLE is a great fking song!!! (the album version could lose the extra production). I've only skimmed through her new music, and really haven't heard anything else that really catches my ear. And yes, she is a cutie, too.

I'm gonna get this series after I finish watching SDF Macross and Mospeada. There's something cool about old school Anime. I can't explain it. It's like the stuff is so retro that it is triple cool today. The new stuff is too splashy. Too state of the art. Too serious for its own good.

I've always wondered about this series. Always loved the toys (who didn't own some variation of it?) Still waiting for a new version of that toy to come along (even though the old one holds up pretty darn good!)... But how is the series? Worth watching? Are there any new toys coming out? (Besides MH's $40 micro-toy?)

What's the deal with some of the episodes of Macross... like, some of the artwork was really crappy. then it went back to good again. And this was just a few episodes.... anyone?

I will. I just gotta get through my Mospeada set first. You know, everytime I have a bunch of un-watched DVDs sitting around, they NEVER get watched. So I'm making sure I watch stuff before I buy new stuff. =) Are you saying that Macross (and not Robotech) will get me high? (and get me off?) IT's not $40 anymore. Yeah. I have a DVD player that plays any region and converts PAL to NTSC. They gave away these cool dvd players when I was enrolled with the Robotech Defense Force. "the AnimEigo restoration also went as far as to stabilize frames and remove all film splices!" What does this mean?? LOL
