Cute girls should be nice to their Photocopier.

Ehh...she's cute enough, but she's no Sarah Chalke. -
Its been a while since I read up on this, but this discrepancy is likely yet another holdover from the old West End Games days. They (incorrectly) guessed at a lot of figures when they originally made the SW: RPG, and unfortunately Lucasfilm has been reluctant to retract and correct most of it. They only recently admitted that the Super Star Destroyer is larger then the venerable 8km figure. The Executor Class Super Star Destroyer is 17.6km long Yup, or thereabouts. But stodgy old Lucasfilm still cling to the old incorrect dimensions. They've grudgingly updated it to 12,800 meters, according to the Databank on the OS.

None of that changes the fact that the fanbase for any supposed Southern Cross sequel would be very small, on both sides of the Pacific. Regardless of how much you love it, and I say this not to mock your show but simply to make a point, Southern Cross was a flop overseas and Robotech Masters is arguably the least popular segement of Robotech. Period. You can hope for all the sequels and merchandise you like. I won't stop you, but you have to understand the harsh reality that no company will likely want to tackle that property, given its miniscule following. Heck, I'm sure that there's fans out there huddling around their Betamax tapes of Space: 1999 and wishing that Hasbro would drop GI Joe in favor of producing a "kick ass" Eagle and Martin Landau action figure. But that doesn't mean it will happen.

Yeah, Rebel Assault 2 had a B-Wing sequence in it. Maybe that's what you're thinking of.

Beautiful, man. That brings a tear to me eye. You've summed Zero up perfectly.
-
Well that certainly explains my cravings for Pepperoni & Mushroom....
-
LOL! That pretty much sums up my opinion of the internet these days, Star Wars or otherwise.
-
Umm....have you even seen a Harrison Ford film from the last decade? The man just doesn't care anymore.

Wow, you're like the Joseph Campbell of Macross World.

The WWE and Pro-Wrestling Thread
bsu legato replied to areaseven's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I'd make a dry comment about "guessing who will wind up GM, but what's the point? Flair should be more embarrased about wrestling Eugene in the first place. I still say that is one of their lamest gimmicks to date. And I'll bet that segment alone was 10 minutes long. Only HHH would hog airtime like that just to announce that he won't be in this weeks episode. Hmm....art immitating life, or vice versa? Either way, this is just frustrating because we know what the end result will be. So this is Benoit's new role? He gets to job to Edge? I have no problem with Edge, but Benoit has just been thrown to the wolves since he dumped the title to Orton. I'll have to check this guy out next week. I have to admit that Carlito Caribbean Cool made me chuckle, if for no other reason than that he reminded me of the cheesy days of Razor Ramone. Bleh. So has teaming Orton up with Y2J helped his face appeal? I hate the guy, but maybe they're trying something different. If you hadn't mentioned it here, I doubt I ever would have noticed. I wonder if this will hurt Test's relationship with Ms Keibler. -
NEW Official MPC Thread!!!
bsu legato replied to FRED THE FRENCH's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Don't underestimate the power of Magnets!! If the VF-1 MPC was any indication, magnets are Toynami's failsafe when they can't figure out how to latch two parts together. -
Whoa there...the same "Janice" from The Sentinels? The same Sentinles that HG and its fans have disavowed? Doesn't it seem a tad hypocritical to anybody that HG will turn its nose up at Sentinles on one hand, then gleefully raid it for characters and such? And then to change the entire character so much, why even retain the name at all? Does this mean that we can expect to see a completely redesigned and reimagined Jack Baker (who has no relation to the Sentinels character at all, save the name)?

Halo 2, Half-Life 2, DVDs, and Special Editions

STEAM is many things. Steam replaces the old WON system for playing Valve's games online. Steam is an auto-updating "browser" for your games. Once you log in, it will update your games with any necessary patches and updates. Steam is also an online store, where you can download Half Life 2, should you chose to, instead of buying a retail copy. -
Well, what about Canadians pirating American satellite signals? Should my TV be interruprted by your national security?

Halo 2, Half-Life 2, DVDs, and Special Editions

I just have to add that Day of Defeat Source is a particularly frustrating topic for me. First and foremost, there's no projected release date for the game at all, and considering the near snail-like pace the DoD dev team works at, it will be some time before we see it. Now, I'm not bothered by the fact that DoD isn't included in any of the retail packages. The original DoD was released by Activision, not Sierra. Unless Vivendi somehow gets the rights from Activision, it can't be sold with HL2. However, if you're willing to spend the money ahead of time, you can simply get the Silver or Gold packages off of Steam. But.... What I want to know is how do Retail customers get DoD: Source when its finally released? Will we just have to pay for it, on top of what we've already paid for HL2? Will we be able to simply download the mod, as we could for HL1? Or will we have to get some kind of Steam upgrade package? It's this lack of information that really pisses me off. Fanbois on the DoD boards simply parrot "Buy it over t3h Steam, n00b" but that's hardly what I call making an informed decision, is it? -
Ummm.....No.

Robotech and HG license debates

Robotech Zero is coming!! -
They make both. The dropship, like Airwolf, will be an assembled Diecast toy.
-
To be honest, we were just guessing on the scale. It could very well be 1/72, which is still a big freaking toy. All I know is that Aoshima's airwolf is 1/48, so hopefully they follow that trend through with the dropship.
-
Bleh...that's what I get for pimping your site, huh?
-
-
If you want a toy Dropship, wait for the Aoshima Die Cast. It will (hopefully) be 1/48 scale, and the prototype looks all kinds of cool. Otherwise, you're stuck with the old halcyon model, JsARC's asstastic Action Fleets, or that SMT resin kit.

Yeah, but 70's retro is "in" right now. Soooooooo....
-
Cuz....leik....Protoculture's all magical an stuff. So...so...stfu! Sorry, that's the best I could do. I'm sure somebody will correct us, but it does seem a little silly. Then again, I remember enjoying the McKinney books, so even if I was an RT fan I'd be in an outcast.
