Ghost Rider movie thread
bsu legato replied to terry the lone wolf's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
No no no, you guys have it all wrong. Ghost Rider's bike should look like THIS. -
Hey Glane21, I did some checking and it seems my info was a litle out of date. Since the magazine I got most of my info out of was published a few years ago some fans have done some serious research on these four cars. It turns out that the car that "rams" the Charger into the gas station, and subsequently breaks its suspension as it plows to a stop, was the same car used for most of the jumping scenes. This car was apparently "disintigrating" and was likely the one that got scrapped. The other car was used for the high speed portion of the chase and was in much better condition. there's some interesting trivia about the surviving car HERE.

With a pyrotechnical "assist" from NBC. -
I'm waiting for EA to copyright the Second World War, thus killing off all competition for Medal of Honor. I say that jokingly, but would it really surprise anybody if they tried?

Yes. Yes he does. Next question?

It's here...Shadow Chronicles screenshot!

I fail to see how anyone can say anything positive or negative based on single still image. For all you know the animation could be as fluid as an episode of Speed Racer, the voice acting could be done by deaf actors and the story could be the worst piece of fan fiction since the "Fall of the Republic" script. The only thing you can glean from this image is that Sti....er, Scott wears a crappy new uniform and that Marlene is wearing Invid attire. But hey...if it makes you feel better: ZOMG!!! t3h new r0b0t3ch show will rox0rz!!!!11!1!one -
Best Movie Badguy of all time?
bsu legato replied to Mechamaniac's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
It's one of the many cut scenes from Jedi. Basically, Vader goes to see the Emeror but Jerjerrod says "Nuh-uh." so Vader chokes him. Then when Jerjerrod manages to gasp that it was the Emperor's wish that he remain undisturbed, Vader releases him. It would have been a neat scene, but it was ultimately a little pointless. But long story short, there was a scene were Vader reached out and touched somebody, but it was cut. Otherwise, who would he have choked? Piett? Piett - "Its an older code, but it checks out. I was about to clear them. Shall I hold them?" Vader - "No, leave them to me." CHOKES PIETT Or that nameless officer who brings Luke to Vader? Commander - "He was armed only with this." Vader - "Good work commander. Leave us. Conduct your search and bring his companions to me." CHOKES COMMANDER -

Fixed it for you. Sorry, but while its terrible to see such nice cars destroyed I can only read so many stories about "17 year old takes daddy's car for a joyride" before I stop caring. Heck, there was a clown here in town a few years ago who decided to play bumper cars with a phone pole (the telephone pole won) in his daddy's Viper. He managed to kill himself and his friend.

THIS website has several tracks from the OST. I'm just listenin to track one now, and by god when "the force" theme creeps into the melee I got goosebumps. John Williams is a genius. -
Nope, I was wrong. From Muscle Color History:Mercury Muscle Cars There was also a dealer-installed dual four-barrel package, but I couldn't find any numbers on it. *

Oh...make me go through all my boxes of books, why don't you? I do remember that it wasn't the side oiler.

The rocket/missile pods are molded as a single block, instead of having individual missiles. On the old Halcyon kit, they were constructed from 3 or 4 parts with "missiles" molded on the outside. It looks like Aoshima has retained that shortcut.

I hope they fix that...

After analyzing the original image, I'm positive that AgentONE was correct in his asessment. This was clearly a Macross 7 fan.

what about the 428 S.O. smoke a Hemi too bad they discontinued the 427 engines from the Thunderbolts and Cyclones,,, prolly wouldve bent a mustang in 2 The Mustang never got the 427 (although it was promised in early '67 brochures) but they did put it in the Cougar. If the Cougar could live with the 427 there's no reason the Mustang wouldn't have. Besides, the 428 SCJ was just as good.

Oh get a room, you two! -
Those are good enough suggestions, but the main story always about the Elric brothers. Mustang, Armstrong and even Winry were all supporting cast members. Add too much to them and it would take away from the main story. I was surprised they managed the whole 50 odd episode run with as little "filler" as it was.

Has anybody picked up the DVD yet?

I haven't read the manga, but I have to wonder if FMA suffered from the usual "compression" of the later chapters when they translated it to anime. But overall I still have to give this show a 5 star rating. And its very rare that I rate a show that high. BTW, has anybody heard anything new about the movie?
