Not quite. The Fine Molds is an awesome piece, but the best kit would unquestionably be the Captain Cardboard Studio Scale X-Wing kit, which as it so happens is currently being produced by a member here. Contact mslz22 to see if he still has kits available.

Its looking good, but there's still no sign that they've fixed/improved the wing mounted missile pods from the Halcyon prototype.

I probably won't get any of them, but IF I did I'll likely wind up with a PS3. Nintendon't hasn't impressed me since the SNES days (excepting Goldeneye) and XBOX just has too few games that interest me. But all things considered I'll simply spend half the cost of a next-gen console and upgrade my PC. Especially if we see an increase in the number of games for the PC being simple (and crappy) ports of console games. I already have my PC so I might as well get all the mileage I can out of it.

Now that you mention it, Fine Molds has been pretty balanced in terms of Imperial/Rebel starcraft so far. What are you willing to bet that they follow up the Falcon with something comparable, like a retooled ESB Slave-1?

On a related note, has anybody found an importer for the Revell Germany ROTS kits? I'll probably end up getting the AMT/Ertl kits but I'm not expecting too much from them.

I'd say those screenshots are probably on par with City of Heros at the least. From what I've seen of my friends MMORPGs, you usually don't play with the view zoomed in to tight anyway. Plus I'd imagine that this is still a fairly early build of the game.

Mecha Mod has updated their WEBSITE with some new goodies. There's some new and original mecha up now, and the customization menu looks interesting, although it won't allow you to make changes to the degree that Armored Core would allow. Maybe someday they can implement a system where you can create your own skin. The failed game Soldner had a system where you would "build" your uniform from a selection of fatigues, web gear, and accessories. It would be great if you could do this to create your own mecha, although for gameplay balance you'd have to be restricted to the default performance specs. Oh, and check out the pics of the VF-1J, which I think is an interesting take on the classic Hikaru scheme, a'la DYRL.

He also messed up on the proportion of the "moto slave's" left arm and shoulder, so he had to invent that extended joystick thingy so that the girl would have somethign to hold onto. Notice how the right arm doesn't have it? I had spotted the Roadblock/Cable plagarism before, but the rest of that is just appaling. The man is truly shameless.
