It's been a while since I've browsed the Rebel Scum forums, so I'll just take some edjumacated guesses at what MR is planning for '06... Star Wars Luke Skywalker - ANH saber (the only one MR hasn't done yet) Qui-Gon Jinn - TPM saber (a near certainty) Darth Maul - FX Saber (I've seen pics of the prototype) Darth Vader - since the ROTS mask was announced long ago, maybe a ROTJ saber? (icky poo) Obi-Wan Kenobi - TPM EE saber (isn't it already shipping though?) Anakin Skywalker - umm....I'm stumped. Maybe the rumored costume line? Han Solo - ROTJ blaster, perhaps? Boba Fett - EE-3 blaster (saw a blurry pic of one) Imperial Stormtrooper - not counting the already announced clone helmets, maybe OT trooper helmets? Late edit: The "Han Solo" item is probably the Studio Scale 32" Falcon!!

Hey Chowser, I'd love the MR DL-44 but money is way too tight right now to even consider it. I'm hoping that in the new year I can add a new replica to the collection, but that'll be in the spring at the earliest. (not to mention that I have to find the cash for the Fine Molds Falcon, Chronicles II, 1/60 VF-0 and the GBP-1 ) Not to mention I plan on buying myself a surplus Mosin Nagant 91/30 from the local dealer for my Xmas present to myself. As for the legality of it, I think the DL-44 might be ok. If a customs agent wanted to be really anal, its a modded C96 Mauser, which would be one of the few legal replica firearms (since its pre-1898). I've read about people getting the E-11s into Kanada, but that just seems wayyyy too risky for me. But if its properly labeled something non-descriptive like "Star Wars Blaster Movie Prop Replica" or something I think most customs knuckle draggers wouldn't be inclined to look further.

Fine Molds Slave 1

Great work. That ESB paint scheme is enough to make most men break down and cry like little girls, but you pulled it off beautifully. -

*raises hand* My current plan is to find one of those mail-order brides. You know....the ones who pay you to bring them and their family over? I didn't say it was a good plan. -

How about a semi-auto, ATF friendly FG42 replica? http://www.fg42.net/news1.html -
When even HG wants to forget about RT: The Movie, you know its gotta be bad. Just pick up a copy of Megazone 23 and call it even.
-
Great price, but I'm not too fond of paying for stuff that far in advance. That's almost a year away. We'll see how rich I'm feeling at the end of January.
-
I think the worst problem with "Lick Hunter" in the RT dub is all the extraneous dialog that the writers cram into his mouth. Not a scene goes by where we're not clubbed over the head with the most mundane or blindingly obvious factoid and opinion, all courtesy the tried and true RT voiceover. Tony Oliver might have been tolerable in smaller, "Hikaru" sized doses, but with Row-Boat-eech verbal diarreha he wears out his welcome fast.

You mean like this?

Quiet you! He wants to buy it and resell it to me at cost + s&h.

What Happened To Misa Hayase And 'rick'?
bsu legato replied to Aurora-7's topic in Movies and TV Series
Didn't the full version of the "Megaroad into the black hole" story mention that they were investigating some kind of transmission emanating from said black hole? So at least in the Big K's mind there seems to have been the possibility of something or somebody on the other side. And frankly, it makes more sense than the Megaroad just accidently flying into the cosmic equivalent of a trash compactor. -
You could buy it and keep it for the one or two pages...or you could just buy it and sell it to me.
-
Funny you should mention that. The last (and only) time I've seen Steve Yun on these boards, I asked him about that very same thing. Shockingly, I didn't get a reply.

Trailer For Dead Or Alive The Movie
bsu legato replied to chowyunskinny's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
That trailer was crap, but you guys have to be honest with yourselves. This is a game franchise known for buxom babes beating the crap out of each other and relaxing with some bikini-clad beach volleyball. Its not exactly Tolstoy, yunno? -

You can't prove that The Sensei died! He just fell a very, very, very long way. -
Unfortunately, Toynami exhausted its supply of hyperbole with the Robotech MPC lineup. Their supplier in China has a 6 week lead time for resuppply, so Toynami was faced with a decision; Use less-than extatic ad copy (and therefore more honest, in the face of their mediocre design and QC) or delay shipment until they restock.

Why don't you put HER in charge?! -
Personally, I'm saying "No" since the dub and "improved" subtitles aren't nearly enough to get me to buy a second copy. I spent an awful lot of money to get my Animeigo set into Canada, and I'm more than happy with it.
-
I'm just curious to see who, if anybody, is actually interested in the new ADV Macross DVDs. Don't be afraid to answer honestly. Maybe you missed out on the Animeigo set, or you finally got tired of your engrish bootlegs. Or conversely, you're standing up to "the man" and saying NO to the second bite at the apple.
-
I've seen some of the fansubs posted, but I haven't gotten around to actually downloading any just yet. I guess I was waiting to hear if it was any good, or at least if it interested me (I've only really seen the two live-action movies).
-
Yeah! Stupid businesses trying to make money. Wtf is up with that? They should just ignore market trends from now on. That said, these look less like Lego and more like straight up toys. Maybe I'm just nostalgic, but I liked the days when you had to actually build your Lego.

And you just know that Vol 4: "Fear is pain arising from the anticipation of evil" is just going to kick some serious ass!

The artwork is ok, particularly image of the Regults on the back of the box which I've always had a soft spot for. The title for the disc is a bit strange though. I can't wait for Volume 2: A Brief History Of Time.
