I can't speak for what they have on the fan sites (should I really be surprised that such things exist?), his love for....er, nose-candy wasn't exactly a secret. I haven't really heard anything about him in a few years though. He pretty much dropped off the radar when he started cranking out the direct-to-video movies.

Tamiya Flat base is only meant to be mixed in with the paint, not applied as a top coat. That's probably why you had problems with it, Terrence. Personally, anything I paint in Tamiya gets a blast of good old DullCote. It gives me some of the flattest finishes I've seen. As for a semi transparent white finish, I'd try mixing Gunze white and one their clears. IIRC, it was how I painted the "dome" on the head of an old AMT Alien figure, and it worked like a charm.

I just hope Rodreguez does a better job of editing Sin City that he did with Once Upon A Time In Mexico. Seriously Robert, what were you thinking?!

SW Episode III: Birth of the Empire

Yeah, Howard Kazanjian. I think it's also mentioned in the old Cinefex Jedi issue. But whatever the case may be, I still think that "Return" is a better title anyway. Incidentally, when checking the IMDB for the correct spelling of "Kazanjian" I noticed that they list none other than David Webb Peoples as an uncredited writer! Has anybody ever heard of this? -

I've heard that one before, but I don't buy it. The first big clue is that major licensing partners like Kenner went ahead and bega producing merchandise with the name "Revenge of the Jedi" on it. Heck, Drew Struzan even made the famous "Revenge" poster. I wouldn't really term that a leak. I believe that LFL has said that these things were done by accident, but...come on. Lucas himself even publically stated that Ep VI would be called "Revenge of the Jedi" back during the promotion of Empire. Finally, if you read some of the behind-the-scenes material for Jedi, you'll see that even the crew were surprised when the name changed. -
Van Damme ees back, baybee! 5 minutes of Googling turned up this and this:

Maybe they finally smartened up and realized that Brosnan isn't the problem with the current Bond films. Instead, they should focus on actually finding some decent writers and directors. Hell, if he wasn't doing Zorro Returns, I'd say bring back Martin Campbell. Goldeneye rocked.

SW Episode III: Birth of the Empire

That's obviously photoshopped. I posted that pic in the SW DVD thread yesterday and from what I've seen, insiders are saying it's legit. And speaking of things that make you go "huh?" check out THIS page. -
I just found this picture on the fron page of IGN. I don't have IGN Insider, so I can't read the article but I'm assuming this is from some sort of Bobobo game...? I'm just scared and really confused...

You could get a big old continuity based answer... Yeah, old timers may recall my topic on this subject on the old boards. While there's no real *official* answer, there was plenty of speculation... - the UN Spacy rebuilt it with the intention of returning it to service, but ended up mothballing it - the UN Spacy rebuilt it explicitely for use as an earth-based HQ - the UN Spacy rebuilt it as a monument/symbol

SW Episode III: Birth of the Empire

Yep, Lucas seems to have found a way to rip off the Legolas scene from the Two Towers and try to outdo it. If you're referring to what I think you're referring to, then I hope to god not. That was the absolute gayest scene in the entire LOTR saga, including all the times when Frodo gazed lovingly at his companion and crooned "Oh Sam..." -
SW Episode III: Birth of the Empire

Yeah...but they've already beaten that level. Seriously though, I have no idea how it will really look onscreen. The initial report came from an insider who attended the November marketing summit in San Fran, and was posted on AICN. While I have little doubt about the report itself, the wording may be suspect. The descriptive powers of some of the writers who send these things in are lacking at best. Case in point: the recent review of the Appleseed movie. Briarios is "like Robocop, 'n the Terminator, 'n stuff but cooler." Wow, what a way with words. -

I'm not so sure about the "surfing" part. The first time I heard about these platforms, they were described.... * * * * * * possible spoilers...for the love of god, don't read any further * * * * * * * * ....more like something you'd find in a video game. Supposedly, the duel eventually moves through the plant/shipyard and crosses an area covered in lava. Anakin and Obi Wan traverse the lava by jumping across a series of these platforms, all while dueling. But like I said, this "report" is just a mix of ancient spoilers and fan fiction, with a few new adjectives thrown in to spice things up. The 'surfing" bit is a new one on me. -

This just shows how lazy the tabloids are these days. This stuff is months old now. The platform business is likely real, but the title is pure fan speculation. -

RAW last night was just plain bad. So bad it doesn't even deserve a better description of just how bad it was, like "nut-punchingly" or "Vomit inducing." Just plain bad.
