ROTFL! Freakin' hillarious! I nominate this for "Post of the Month!" -
You guys seriously liked this movie? Guh...no wonder Hollywood continues to produce so much crap. I'll see you guys in like for Van Helsing 2: Van Harder.

Are you referring to the Pulse Rifle I'd wanted to buy? no, it wasn't going to be airsoft. Airsoft is too expensive up here to be a decoration, worse still once I import the conversion kit. no, I was going to buy the "static" resin kit that Monsters in Motion sells. -

FYI, all new off-the-shelf 8x57 ammo is seriously underpowered. The story I was told was that this is because there's a lot of older 8mm rifles that predate the Kar98, and that manufacturers don't want to be too harsh on them. AFAIK, most of the surplus stuff is perfectly servicible, but I'd stay away from the Turkish stuff if I could help it. It's a bit hotter than most, but you wind up with a lot of split necks and cases. The Portugese stuff is very nice, so is the Yugo. there's even WW2 German stuff out there. Damn, my country's import laws suck ass. -

Aw crap! I just found out via a Canadian gun message board that milsurp importer Marstar is bringing a bunch of SVT-40 rifles into the country. Damn, and I was just about out of debt. There goes my planned purchase of a Pulse Rifle kit. -
My understanding is that it was stuck with a crappy timeslot.

Are you kidding me? Assuming you're down in the States, surplus 8x57 ammo is bountifull and cheaper than dirt. I wish it was as easy for me to get it here in Canada. If you want, I'll PM you a billion links to online retailers who sell 8mm. Provided you have the appropriate permits, of course. -
-10 Points for an unnecessary Tom Petty reference.
-
He can raise his eyebrow like Connery? Oh well then, I take back everything I said.
-
You've gotta be kidding me. Robbie Williams? Why, because he's english and has a passing resemblence to a young Connery? Can he even act? If you just want to clone Connery, why not just CGI him instead? general moaning aside, I haven't yet seen any real reasons why Bana can't be Bond. He can play tough. He can do action. He's got a killer stare. He's perfect for a classic, Flemming era Bond. All this "suave sophisticated" bullshit is just a holdover from the Moore era. Bond is supposed to be a self-hating killer, who's as sickened by his job as he is by the bad guys. And while those who've named Eon Prod. as the real culprit behind the mediocrity of the latest Bond films are absolutely, 100% right there's no way that'll change until the entire Broccoli clan is dead. Remember, we had not one but two "realistic" Bond films in the late 80's (ie the Dalton films) but they were nowhere near as successful as the over-the-top Brosnan films. The numbers show that Dalton's films actually did pretty well at the box-office, but brainless Entertainment Weekly type pundits still as "failures." No, the die was cast when Die Another Day became the highest grossing Bond film ever.

Saw the Bourne Supremacy, loved it!

So how many books are there in the series ( not that they're staying true to the books)? I know there's the Bourne Ultimatum, or something like that. Oh yeah, that shaky camera was teh suck. -

When I found them, the sory was that these were some cool internal posters. However, it's possible that they've been debunked as fan art by now. Either way, they kick ass. -
I dunno....even if he did include them, I doubt Oshii would make them anywhere near as humorous as they are in Stand Alone Complex. Can you imagine a sober, morose Tachikoma?

Awesome! Keep us posted on your progress.

Well looky here. I found a snippet of the commentary from the leaked ROTJ DVD, and it's regarding Anakin and his ghostly appearance at the end of the film! The applicable quote: So, to me, that clinches it. Anakin doesn't just get a little toasted in Ep 3. He physically honest-to-god dies and is resurrected by machinery and Palpatine's dark powers. Hence, when he shows up as a spirit, he's as he looked physically when he kicked the bucket. Check out the mp3 file HERE. -
Eh...Doom 3 has always been a "maybe" for me. I'm far more excited about HL2, not only for the game itself (come on, the original was one of the best single player games up to that point) but for the endless mods that will come out after release.

A1, you need to go and download the theme song from Orgazmo. Go right this very minute. Once you've heard it, you'll appreciate just how great this movie could be. Trey parker = genius

Priceless! Anyway, if it's true, then color me happy. Bana was the best thing about Troy, proving that he has the required physicality to handle the role. Plus he was an absolute badass in BHD. Hell, his cool, icy demeanor is perfectly suited for the oldschool Flemming Bond.

NooooooooOOOOoooooOoooo!!! You can't ban him yet! This thread must live on, at least until we discover his true identity. BTW, I can see why I might get labeled as an "American" from the way I talk, but what I don't get is why he's continually accusing me of "talking tough" about stuff. I haven't even called him a troll in this thread (yet) and I'm getting these infantile "why don't you go to Iraq and see how tough you are" PM's. Why would I go to Iraq when my country's army isn't even there? Afghanistan, perhaps, but not Iraq. Either way, I'm getting a little old to be humping around the gear that soldiers today have to carry. But like you suggested in your last PM, ValkDeligh-kun, please feel free to drop by my place any time you're in town. To your dismay, you might find out that we Canadians aren't all hockey games and maple syrup. xoxoxo bsu p.s If you think I'd give my name out online to some total stranger, you really need to get your head screwed on straight. Even the Jehovah's witnesses that came by my door last weekend know how much risk there is in identity theft. -
Awesome. Tell me that Production IG isn't the best thing to happen to anime in a long, long time.
