What's the MFA? I'm guessing the M stands for Macross, the A stands for Asscociation, but I don't know about the F. -

I think this classifies as red alert front page material... -

As noble as that might sound.... it would be hard to take 2 stablished franchises and simply fuse them together. Tansformers and Go-Bots did it, they named some bots after Go-Bots... Not only that Go-bots were given another line in the states, granted it's not machine robot, but still... or it could be that robotech is an alternate dimention of Macross, and both dimentions meet or somthing I mean Power Ranegrs did Forever Red, it wouldn't be that far of a stretch... -

Prehaps they are going to combine the names of both series or somthing in the near future, or maybe they are rubbing out the name robotech and are just going to use the name Macross from now on.? I mean you see the words Macross all over Robotech DVDs, so prehaps change is in the air... -
Really there was an anubis Kit that they released with a special edition of Second Runner, along wiht some other stuff. I mean Doloris/Isis, Jehuty, Anubis, Vic Viper, and such are really nice mechs, prehaps the T.V. series needs to catch on a bit though, ADV could show their wares on cable. Dolores I is certainly an excelent series, and the games are done well too...

Ya know I never liked those things, what's the point of a non transformable Valkyrie? I mean so those things have articulation, but that's all they can do. They can't do anything cool. -
1/60 DYRL Skull Leader 1/60 Super Miria yep two Valks I also have the Yamato transformable Escaflowne, but I guess that really doesn't count...

isn't It about time Takara made MP decepticons?
BFG-1 Gigan replied to Rick_Randy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Yeah Megatron can no longer be a gun, besides he hasn't even been a wepaon of any sort after his G1 incarnation. More likely he is going to be a tank, that seems to be his new chosen form. G2 Meggs, Amrada Megs/Gavly, and Energon, which is a tank and a plane...so Tank=Megatron. They could make a tank transformation Look similar to his G1 Robot mode though. besides the original Megs was tiny... -
the one 1A is the brown Valkyrie, right?
-
Now only if Soundwave was a bit bigger, his figure is tiny. If he could be the size of 20th Prime then there's a decepticon, but his G1 Figure(I have the re-issue) is the size of Armada Lazerbeak.

Ok where should I get the Bandais from, I was thinking of Bigbadtoystore.com because of their flat shipping rate and reliable service, but then there is imageanime.com has more of a selection, but their shipping isn't a flat rate.
-
Well I did not know that, thanks.
-
OT a bit, but I'm curious, why was episode # 1 cut? I don't recall there being any 'questionable' content. Graham They combined two episode sinto one They wanted to arract the boys so they got rid of the girley stuff...
-
Well there;s only two suncoasts an FYE, a best buy, and a Sam Goody in my area, I check almost weekly and they either don't have the SDF DVDs or don't even have them in their Computers. Also I don't use Ebay so that's really outta the quuestion, and Amazon is sold out...
-
Nah that's really more of a Negative name babel tower was actualy the origin of why there are so many languages...
-
Nah that city was designed way differently, it was more of a dome than a tower...

Well for one example Mospeeda didn't do to well in japan in it's initial launch. Robotech was also basicly an "introduction" to many, things weren't the same way back when with the internet and fileshare, and DVDs, you really had to know where to look to get decent anime in some areas. granted Robotech was made for kids, but it kinda sprouted it's own little culture with all the books and all. Granted it couldn't have existed without Macross, but even though how altered Robotech was, it did introduce people to Macross... Also Cardcaptos also skipped the first three episodes and tried to make Lei the main character, Escaflowne combined two episodes into one and never finished it's run.
-
Yeah but they can't build it due to Japan's lack of Bedrock...
-
Well it's Kidna hard tot track down the Macross Animego DVDs, I don't really do the Fileshare thing, so it's whatever I can get in stores or online.
-
Well i just figured that the two series are kinda related, figured that there would be fans of both here Kinda like how Diaclone is to Transformers sorta...
-
I wouldn't really take it that far. It's really due to Robotech that Macross has a large fanbase in the states, granted it wasn't in it's original form, but it's influance was one of the major ones way back then. Also it was kinda inventive on how they edited and cut and pasted the three shows togther...I mean it's certainly not a hack job like Fox's Escaflowne or Cardcaptors...
-
It's caertainly interesting on the different perspectives that the shows had, allthough I really like New Generation over Mospeeda, but I like Southern Cross over Masters. I havn't seen the the complete Sweries of Super Dimention Fortress, I'm trying to hunt down the DVDs...
-
it's an offshoot, it also is basicly another version of Super Dimention Fortress, Southern Cross, and Mospeeda.
