Thanks guys. The wheels and trailer are from a 1/64 scale toy truck I got from wal-mart. It was one of those Nascar hauler rigs. I'd like to find a proper box trailer for him. I had to put in a smaller pin, and move it closer to the front of the trailer. The trailer still needs a couple more coats of silver, then I'm going to do the striping in blue. The original wheels I took off of Prime are going to be used for a scratch built Roller.

Just wanted to show off my latest custom. I don't why everyone bags on Robot Master G1 Convoy's alt mode. Bot mode still looks good, and if anybody is curious; no parts have to be removed for transformation.

I want video of that.

I must not be geeky enough. I go for small radio controlled tracked vehicles. Now, if I could just figure out how to fit a working pellet gun into the turret of a 1/35 scale tank....

Did you also notice that the resistance was using what apeared to be a WWII era deuce and a half? As much as I like those old 2 1/2 tonners, it was kind of lame to see one on BSG.

Favorite Transforming Valk (anime-only)
Greyryder replied to treatment's topic in Movies and TV Series
The VF-1J, prefferebly with strike packs. The VF-2SS, and the Metal Siren are both close seconds. The VF-0 is okay, but it's just a revamp of the VF-1 design. I haven't much liked any of the other variable fighter designs. -
Some of these aren't bad, just under rated. The Adventures of Buckaroo Bonzai: Across the Eigth Dimension Beastmaster (the first one, not the sequels) The Howling (see above) Wolfen The Last Starfighter The Goonies Leviathon (Best Alien rip off, ever made) Screamers Robocop League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (probably helps, that I've never read the comics) The Princess Bride Spaceballs Robin Hood: Men in Tights Phantasm 2 (can you say "chainsaw fight?") Macross 2: Lovers Again (Last good variable fighter design. the Mac+ mechs suck) There are probably others, and I'll post them as I remember them.

I've sanded some of the peg holes on my Grim-jacks. It makes transformation a little easier. The main ones to get are the holes in the beam between the shoulders (these are what makes pulling the arms out, so damn hard) and the holes that the windshield pegs into. Beyond that, it's just a matter of swinging the arms and doors around to keep them clear, while you're transforming it.

I'm looking forward to it. I figure it can't be any worse than the first one was.

Ghost Rider movie thread

What the? Johnny Blaze turns into the Dan Ketch Ghost Rider? -
Ironhide never had vents on his head, like the xb Alt does. With luck, the xb will be Skids. Poor Skids.

I think. I guess it's the same as die cast. Interestingly enough, The Gizmologist's Lair has some stuff on metal casting, including working with aluminum.

Yes. Let's conveniently forget about GM's penchant for making engines that catch fire. Where I'm at, most of the farmers and contracters drive either Fords or Dodges. First hand accounts I've heard of the super duties made from about 99 on, say that they'll run forever and a day. Can we go back to talking about Transformers? Been thinking about making a custom from an Alt Ravage, named Archer. Biggest problem would be getting a head for it, that actually looks like it belongs on a robot.
-
Has anyone ever considered casting those things in white metal?
-
Nah. He needs to be a dually. Full length bed, preferably with a four door cab. Besides, the Fords have a nice big truck look to them.
-
Beats the godawful looking offerings from GM. Dodge has managed to ruin the fronts of their trucks, too. I want my toys to be cool looking. As such, I go for the only good looking full size truck on the market. Besides, I've heard very good things about the Superduties. If he's too cool to be a Ford, he certainly couldn't be a Chevy.

Many scienist are rethinking their ideas that TRex's were hunters. Many now believe that the t-rex was a scavenger that searched for carrion. Actually, that's the minority opinion. The majority is holding to the belief that Rex was a hunter. T-rex as a hunter makes no sense. If it's running at full speed to catch its prey, and it trips, it's dead. It has no means of breaking it's fall. The force of the impact would pretty well detonate the T-rex's skull. The scientific comunity is pretty slow to accept new ideas. Archeologists are the worst, but the paleontologists don't seem to be too far behind.

That Scion xB, for all it's boxitude, is a fairly small wagon. It wouldn't make a big enough bot to justify a hihger price range. I still want Prime as an F350 dually, with Armada-esque transformation. Don't know about Megatron. HUMVEE missle truck, maybe.

We can rebuild him we have the technology

So, how long untill I can get a suit like in the novel Armor? Just don't ask me to fight any giant ants. -
Not much of a pose, but I haven't properly fixed this banny's shoulders yet.

If Marvel can have a villain named "Scarecrow" I think Disney can have characters with powers similar to some of the more popular super heroes.

I think the whole supersonic thing was done with the jet engines in the wing stubs. We won't go in to the fact being reduced to a rocket powered gyrocopter would still cause the blades to disentegrate at transonic speeds. Don't nitpick the details, just enjoy the ride. That show was great, untill they got of Stringfellow. Sinjin was a knob. (How ever you want to spell his name) Wasn't there another evil Airwolf, after Redwolf? Scorpion, or something like that?

Swerve is the first vette, that I'm actually interested in. I was going to pick up Tracks, just out of spite for whatever fool tried to make him yellow, but he never showed up around here. I can't stand Ravage, but Swerve looks kinda neat. Especially with that flame decal. It goes well with his color scheme.

Iwata Revolution HP-CR can be had for around $100 in stores, (in the U.S.) and closer to $80 online. That's what I'm using right now, and it gives a great finish. It also easily sprayed some primer that gummed up my other airbrush.

I haven't done any dash board detailing, on any of my alts. I usually screw that kind of stuff up.
