Two-seater? HELL YEAH!! I may be not in the know, but perfect transformation shouldn't be a problem. It's the blasted cost that'll kill the idea, of both the company(Yamato) and the buyer(Me/You/Us/Everybody). But if, and that's the cruncher, if there's a high enough demand, then maybe Yamato or maybe even Bandai would do it. I, for one, am ready to pay for a two-seater(one each for starters ) 1/48, no matter the cost.....at least under $200 USD.

More 1/48 Roys?! Happy days are here again!! Damn, I'm sure glad that I waited, and absolutely refused to pay that outlandish, gouging HBAR price!! Now I can get my very first 1/48 Roy!! HBAR HBAR HBAR HBAR HBAR!!!!

Hey Graham, are you still keeping track of MPC Alpha casualties? Better put me in the list, the sensor hatch broke during transformation. And there's a whole slew of other problems that I thought I'd post here. Here's what I found on mine: 1) very loose joints - the floppy limbs syndrome Except for the left leg. 2) two tabs are missing - now I don't know about the rest of you out there, since none had mentioned it, but maybe some or all of you can attest or comfirm. According to the instruction manual there are supposed to be two tabs, one on each wing, for the arms to snap onto. There's a picture of these tabs, in Step 1: Transformation - Fighter to Guardian, 1) says "Detch arms from wings and legs", and it shows a close up picture, box 1 with two orange circles around the tabs for the legs and tabs for the wing. Well, when I examine the wing, not only are the tabs missing, but there is no evidence to sugest that these tabs were present in the molds. The holes for these tabs are still in the arms, which makes me conclude that this may have been a mold change? The number of my MPC is 4235, so can someone confirm on thiers if it's present, or if you have an earlier one if it's there or not? Thanks! 3) one of the shoulder missile hatches are extremely loose and feel/appear fragile, just like other MPC's 4) the arm missiles are half showing like everyone elses 5) problems with keeping one of the arms in a closed state in fighter mode 6) FINGER PRINTS?! - yes, someone with gluey fingers has left their gluey mark on the outside side of one of the arms in fighter mode. Although it appears that an attempt to clean it off was made, since I can see very little of the print, but the glue stains are still there. 7) I personly think this is the worst of them all - the shoulder cannon has scrapes and scratches on one side and glue stains!! So this is what I think may have happened; my gluey finger assembler(from before) has put a very bad gluey finger print on the cannon, and tried to fix this problem by, maybe using a hobby knife, scrape and scratch off the evidence of his/her clumsy "accident". But the evidence is still present. That's it for the QC issues other than minor painting quarks, and flaking(especially the fore-arm hatches to store the hands). Now, the ones I listed aren't casualties, except maybe # 7. But I'll leave that up to you Graham. I've sent mine back some time ago, and still waiting. I'll let you know if I got a better or worse or the same when it arrives. Hopefully some time this week.

It's "Dekarucha". It was discussed in some other thread. It was subtitled in some Macross game or something. I forgot. Dont think its actually Japanese tho. But its still fun to say! "DEKARUCHA!!!" In the newbie thread both words were mentioned, I just prefer "dekalcha" more and pronounce it that way. It's not Japanese, it's made up Zentran. Oh ya, it is a Zentradi word. My bad. But it's also a Japanese word too(unoffically), cause it's the Japanese that made up the Zantradi alien laguage, so... -

Something like: "Dekalcha!" The Japanese term "Dekalcha!" can be translated two ways, which pretty much means the same thing. From Macross TV: "Impossible!" From Macross DYRL?: "Unthinkable!" That's whats translated on the subs anyways, but I'm sure MW'er that knows/understands Japanese will either agree, or disagree. But hey, it's great to see(and hear), about Macross's ever growing fan base as more are exposed to the true Macross! -
Oh, okay. I just wanted to make sure, as I never owned any Legioss, models or other wise. Hey does someone have the Legioss model's decal guide, and can they scan a pic of it? Then they can share with those who's getting an Alpha so we have a good idea where to place those stickers that takatoys will make, or will he include a copy with his set? I just don't like the way Toynami has some of them placed and I want a second better option of placement. Thanks!
-
Ohhh, that's sweet! Just got a quick question from you, will it be Legioss style stickers from Genesis Climber Mospeada OR Alpha style stickers from Robotech? Me, I'd prefer Legioss stickers, rather than Alpha stickers that have Robotech influences or any links to Robotech. In other words Gakken Legioss stickers, so I can pretend that it's a Legioss from Mospeada.

For the MW Special DVD. Sounds sweet! Put me down for one too.

I've got a question; What's the differances between the Anime Cartoon bootleg DVD version(which I own), to the "FX" one? Thanks in advance!
-
No, it doesn't attach to the pilot. It's just a detailed lump of plastic that reprsents the folded up cyclone that's stored in the alpha. Thanks for all the previews, guys! I can now rest easy knowing that the $80 price is justifiable(sp?). But I'm still in shock of it's small size. I have to agree with Lonely Soldier Boy though: Because it's in the same size catagory(sp?) as my G1 Transformers, I'll be more inclined to play with it, than display it.

That bullet was waaaay too big to bite, as my order fell through. So I'm back where I started, and no where near the "breath easy" club. Hopfully I get a chance to try again Friday, IF he has any left.
-
Oh, okay. Then in this case, alot higher. DOAH! >.<
-
BWAHAAHAHAAHHAH!! Thats funny as hell!
-
That is why I broke down and bought one today online, true it cost me a few bucks more, not that much more since it was just a bit higher than the cost of one when they were first released those many(2) years ago. BTW, refresh my memory, how much did they cost when they were firsted released? (in hindsight, better not tell me. it might make me fell worse on how much i did pay) No really, do tell me.
-
I agree with you on that. Since it's obvious that Toynami is trying to rebuild thier name since thier VF-1 fiasco, it seems very highly unlikely that they would do that. It would only hurt them in the end. So that being said, I'm sticky to the fact that the diferences, if any, would only be cosmetic, thus I'm standing by my theory that it might be the middle missle rack, and the gun attaching in the middle.
-
Unfortunately I'm in the same boat as you. Because of severe money problems, I missed out on a VF-1S Roy. And it looks like I'll be bitting the bullet to pick one up at the gouged out price real soon.

The real deal with Harmony Gold and DYRL
Wheels replied to Apollo Leader's topic in Movies and TV Series
Megaroad = the colony ship that Hikaru, Misa, and Minmay left on after the original TV series ended. The Saturn booklet came with the Macross:DYRL game, and lays out the major series events, as I understand it. Ahh, I see. Thanks! Yeah, me too. So there it is in condensed form above. I guess I shoulda done that in the first place. Hmmm, I seem to have missed reading that first post you linked to. -

Tell us, oh wise one, what DID happen to the Megaroad? It became the Miniroad? Hehe. Yeah, you know, that black hole thing. Misa says, "Hey wonder what that is?" and they all die. Seriously now, SOMEBODY PLEASE scan the booklet for the SegaSaturn game so we can bury this beaten, dead horse. I agree. Someone please do that. Question: What is Magaroad? And how does this SegaSaturn bootlet relate to it, hence burying that beaten, dead horse? Please forgive me, since I'm relatively new to Macross - I'm passed the newbie stage, but I need to be brought up to speed with all the little nuances to fully understand. This is one of those nuances. Thanks! -
Ah, I see. I was not aware of that. I've seen those, but was unaware of it being canon. Looks to me that Toynami is just concerned of actually being anime correct and not canon. Purhaps that's what might be the difference hinted at between the first 3000 and the the ones after? Where did you guys get the #3000? I was aware of that number but I never said anything? Actually saw the lineart from an folder that an HG employee showed me. But it was Artmic material from the signatures from the drawings themselves... Rumours. Well, does anybody know what the big brouhaha is about the differences hinted at between the first releases and the later releases? I'm now thinking that it might be the middle missle rack, and the gun attached in the middle. If it is, then I'd be interested in getting this "variation", assuming what I get either/or from my pre-order.
-
I too don't give a rat's hairy keister if there are removeable pieces. Just give me my anime line-art YF-19! In any scale!

Well, according to the anime, there is not a missle rack in the middle. See this link; AFC-01H Legioss Armo-Fighter Officer Model (Stick Type) Hey mechaninac, it's quite possible that the back end(legs - feet) were mistransformered. Well, here's to hoping.

Aww-ha-aw, sweet Guys! I don't care if they're re-casts, so I'll be sure to ask them. Thanks a million!
