No, that's no good, for the micro print anyways. You need to rescan at a much higher resolution to pick up the fine print. Not just by increasing the pics size. This is a great idea, if anybody wants to translate.

Well, temporaryly(is that even a word?), according to the forum rules. But that's not up to me. Back on topic - All I need to make me happy is a 1/48 1A either Max, or Low Vis. But what I really want, waiting, hoping, and holding out for is a CF. Other wise I'd jump the Max 1A band wagon already. I guess my point is, get the Max. Or else pay for it through the nose, if one can still be found.

Sign And I'm still waiting for my Super/Strike to arrive, ordered over 4 weeks ago. Sign I guess the blame falls on me for not having it shipped Exped. Meh, I learned my lesson.

Ummm...that's really up to the customers in Japan inclusively. As for the Destroids getting the 1/48 treatment, everyones guess is as good as yours. Though some of us are a little bit pessimistic(and for good reason), and'll say no way. But IMO, having them in 1/48 scale is a little over kill. I just bought a Playmates 7" Exo Squad Tomahawk on eBay for a killer deal and I think that any bigger than that would be too big for something that does transform. Note that the VB-6 is in the 1/100 scale and variable. Where as the Playmates are a little bigger than 1/100 scale, more closer to 1/72 scale or a bit shy from that scale. A good compliment to the Monster or any 1/72 Valks. So any bigger would be over kill, IMO.

Okay, do you mean a different version or packaged separately, like the GBP with or without a Valk? If you mean a different version, then there's only one, and that's and that's the TV ver. Side question - was there a DYRL? GBP? I don't seem to recall... As for the latter, Yamato did it in the 1/60 line and so far for the 1/48 line as well. So as far as the predicted pattern goes, more than likely.

*looks at the time* I mean yesterday morning. I just received my very own Bandai Mac II 1/100 VF-2SS, and all I got's to say is, Daddy's got a new toy! MWA HAHA HA! Joy! I gonna have fun putting it together! Alright, so it's not like it's a new model kit just released, but it is new to me. Okay, I took a look at the instructions, and I can muddle my way without too much difficultly, but the only thing that looks like a potentional problem is the transformation instructions. So does anybody know of a site or personally how to transform this dude? And does anybody know where to place all the decals, if all of them get placed? Cause I looked and counted the placement points including the "place on opposite/other side" ones and they don't add up to the decal sheet. And no I don't mean the stickers either, those are pretty self evident. So if anyone can point me in the right direction, many thanks in advanced.

*raises hand* 10 bucks, says it'll be a photoshopped job.

Yep, I was thinking of picking one up for the same price, $99 shipped. That's in USD of course. Haven't decided yet. There's two other items I want to get first, and they're pretty rare. One is the Macross II 1/8 Ishtar resin kit, and the other is the Battle Angel Alita 1/8 resin kit, the first one not the "reborn" new one. Hmm....choices, choices.

Yeah, that bumper that splitted into his feet, can kick some serious Decepticon galvanized metallic butt. Of course that's a safety hazard. Can't let people associate that with their cars. It's probably the only excuse that they can come up with.

Niiiice. Good to know that it's coming along. btw how does the top part stay on the arm? I didn't see any connection part on the bottom piece. But I have to agree with Guppy, it's sleak and sexy. I even like it better then the GBP Popeye forearms.

....and that's one of the reasons why he's still single, folks.

Hey, does anybody have a cleaner, sharper pic of the one Ali Sama first posted? May you email it to me, in it's full size glory, please? wheeledone@shaw.ca Thanks!

OK people, the new Macross Hub is up and running

Don't quote me on this, but it sure looks that way. I get the same problem (I'm with Shaw Cable too). Sometimes, I have to reboot to reconnect back online. -
Yes, according to Kawamori himself as of 1995, he had yet to watch Macross II. I'm guessing that if he had yet to watch Macross II by then, he probably hasn't since. He's a busy guy, and I doubt he really cares enough to watch it. That's the same sense I get, concerning Kawamori and Mac II. I mean it's not like he cares much about the older shows and Valkyrie styles. That's probably one of the reasons there won't be a remake of SDF Macross. Again, this is my opinion, and I hope I'm wrong. About the remake, I mean.

Congratulations for securing and furthering the Macross fan line! Now don't forget to tell him of the evil HG, and not to be fooled or coerced by their machinations.
-
I sincerely do hope that is will be the final nail in their coffin. The sooner HG burns to the ground, the sooner the North America markets open up to the real Japanese Macross products.
-
Hey, I didn't realize that those 1/48 hands are the same size as those Cyclone's. That was a quick and easy mod. Cool!

Very ballzy, cool, but ballzy.

We're getting close to Macross technology

That's nothing new, too me anyways. Some years back, someone designed an automatic "smart" lawn mover. You would first program the perimeter of the lawn to be cut, and away it goes. It even has hit detection to avoid objects, walls, curbs, people, etc. So to me, this street cleaner would be the next logical step forward. And they still have a cool factor. -
Yes, definitely go for the Fast Packs. Since it seems unlikely that there's goona be a re-release, and there's no word form Yamato so far, these are selling out like hot cakes! I grabbed a set from TisInc about a week and a half ago for $65. I wanted to get 2 but didn't have the funds for it. Meh, at least I got one. Still waiting for it to show up, though. Also look at it this way. Since it seems likely that Yamato will be releasing the GBP with and without the 1J, it's possible that people won't be inclined to buy the TV Super 1J. Well, that's my opinion. Not that I or any of us really know what people are thinking or what's over the horizon.

Even though your not done yet, you've done a sweet job, AlphaHX! Hey, did you use the "squashed" head to build up your new one? The reason I ask is maybe you could still use the old one by mod'ing it to look like the crushed head in the show. It's an idea that just popped in my head.

Yeah, I saw proto pics of it and it looks like the shoulder missiles are molded in transparent purple, possibily to light up. Meh. As soon as I get him I'll be painting those two parts in the proper goldish color. Or....I could take a mold of one, and fix it up with three missile instead of the two, hmmm... In either case this is old news, since the middle of January. Checkout TFormers.com for pics.

Hey Captian, is it too late to put me down for one? This sound too cool to pass up! Thanks!

What I found, me being Canadian too(eh?), was by going through those recommendations you could get better shipping charges, but not always. Simply put; If you have the cash, do it. If you don't, then play the waiting game and see what pops up, though you could miss out in the end. In either case it's exactly like playing the stock market - you just got to get the feel for it. Then you know how you're chances are. But sooner or later your gonna get burned, so expect it(not that it helps).
-
Thanks for the heads up. I'd been disappointed and peeved if I got it, and compared it to the proto pics. Meh.
