  3. Me and a friend have been playing AC since the first iteration on the original PS. The story mode is... mediocre, always has been. (only really played to get more parts ) But the replay value comes in the form of VS mode. We have played vs mode for 8-12 hours straight on almost every version that has come out. And the Froating Head's mecha designs just make me drool like a rabid wombat.* *<Although- the first AC had quite a few designs that were clearly from Miyatake's Macross Destroids>

Have a monthly Macross 7 era game played in Mekton. <<semi-episodic, with 2 GMs who aren't telling each other what the other's Major Arc is>> The PCs are part of a mercenary group usually hired for exploratory escorts and the like. If they are a bunch of munchkins who prefer to have wargasms...let them. But a good series has story-arc (with subplots) over a season(campaign), leading up to a grand finale. ultiple seasons can delay the grand finale... but after 10 seasons... kill Ross and Rachel. Its better that way. What happens when you reach the finale? Start a spin-off, do mini-series, whatever... but let a game die before it gets too stale. Looks like they are at least starting to. Alto acted exactly the way most of us would. Ranka has lost her damned mind, or has been turned to the point that she no longer counts as human/zent. Based on what we have seen before (Grace just DL'ed herself into a precloned body after Gallion) I doubt killing Leon or Grace would have any real effect. I believe that Galaxy has been taken over by this faction, and until it is destroyed, we will never be rid of them. === I apologize if someone already said this, but I missed it... Anyone else feel that Frontier is being designed for US distribution? ((Sans HG fight)) The use of Cheyennes instead of old school destroids.   9. In fact, I am pretty sure that all the ships in the image from the OP were stolen from Merzo.net - I made my own poster of the Macross ship scales- (SDFM thru M7) but because of the quality of the images available, they are all silhouettes. I'll try to dig the file back out.

    ??? It only costs if you are "owning" land. Or want to buy anything that you can't make yourself. Or want to upload an image/sound/animation.

  12. My begging can stop now I got this much done of it, using NJStar Communicator and its Radical Lookup. (combined with Google Translation) I have tested this, and when replacing the original bitmap on the "CD", it works fine. It still needs finished, but I am having trouble with these last two. Oh well, moving on to some other 'scanlations' Once I have all these done, I plan on adding them to one of the iMacross servers- so people can mod their own.
  13. I'm using Win2000. My Avast caught it. Over the years, I have noticed that multiple Antivirus software is needed, because some things get past one AVS, while others get past another. My Norton's missed it completely. BTW- it is attached to the "VOXP-es.exe" and the "VOXP-en.exe" files. The files that were copied from the original VO are clean.
  14. Most of the menus and screens for this game are created using .BMPs If we could get them translated, then a quick bit of Photoshopping could mean an English Version! (At least for the combat boards) It seems that almost everything except the storyline could be translated. I would post them all, but it seems excessive. I'd gladly do the work, but I have no ability in Japanese at all. (Which renders my use of PShop pointless.) However... I am willing to BEG for this one to be completed:

  18. Sketchley was kind enough to give us a scanlation of the map commands... now I have a pretty good image of all the commands (Mainly because yellowlightman pointed out the obvious). Hopefully someone will be kind enough to provide the rest of the translations The unit commands are on the left, and the already translated map commands on the right.

  22. Crap.... I just realized that Hikaru and my daughter are the same age.... I don't know about the Megaroad, but pretty sure I'm dead by then. - While I don't actually want to see those 3 characters again (Kinda like seeing Sarah Jane Smith in her old age)... I would like to know what happened. Even if it was just thhat they got sucked into a black hole. I do think that a series about a ship on a quest to find them would rock... and it would never even have to find them. And you could have a new version of an old enemy along the way, just keep things changed around so that no one knows what is next. EDIT: Nevermind... I just can't see them making Battlestar Macrossica

Everything else from the previous series has shown up.... this series is almost guaranteed to have protodevlin and a protoculture relic. == Uhh... what?
