So I was thinking about this after watching the Alien 3 Special Edition. How many actors have played a role in all three of these franchises? I can think of two: Lance Henricksen - Cop in Terminator - Bishop in Aliens & Alien 3 - Weyland in Av.Predator Bill Paxton - Punk whose clothes are taken by Arnold in Terminator - Hudson in Aliens - Cop in Predator2 Folks who appeared in 2 of the 3: Arnold - The Terminator in T1,2,3 - Dutch in Predator Michael Biehn - Reese in T1 - Hicks in Aliens Jeanette Goldstein - Marine in Aliens - John Connor's foster mom in T2 Anyone I missed? Also, if you watch the audio commentary of the Alien3 SE, they confirm that the Bishop in Alien 3 was supposed to be the real man, not an android. His Ear gets torn loose when the guy hits him in the head with the pipe, and he bleeds red, not white and yells "I'm not a droid!" If they had left that in then AvP would have had a problem.

I asked the same thing in the auctions section... maybe a potential buyer can ask the seller. 317089[/snapback] Not sure what he used, but the only valks that had clear colored canopies were the 1990 Bandai Super Reissue. All others from any manufacturer were amber or smoke or blue.

I agree with this. Is there still any traditional animation done in the US? I don't think even Disney has a studio anymore. Look for the same thing to happen to CG animation within 10 years if this comes true. I'm not a CG animator but I hate to see any industry drummed out of the US. -
That looks really bad. One of those guys had an Aliens Pulse Rifle knock-off too.

I wasted a Netflix rental on Ichi. What a piece of crap. I'd like to find that Miike guy and put my foot in his ass but it would probably just get him off.
-
I hope the manga is better than the anime movie I watched, which sucked some serious ass.

Wonder if the Max will include hair for removing the helmet. Also looks like the Isamu pose would prevent him from wearing a helmet, which sucks.

According to a booklet they handed out at the theater, they built 4 Bat tumblers and they cost about $1.7 million each. Wonder where they got that info.

Not I; selling a 'Low Vis in my opinion would be foolish. I was lucky to find the one that I have, and I'm not going to take the risk of losing it just to buy.....whatever. I will bet on (insert Macross World member with big valkyrie collection)'s collection that Yamato will not reissue anything from their Macross line. -That '48 CF has to make you wonder though.... Huh? They's reissued the Roy 1/48 2 times, the Hilkaru VF-1A got a reissue, and just last week or so they reissued the VF-11b Fastpack, the Ostrich and the Elint. So the Macross line has been reissued plenty.

Eric left for Africa. The show is still going on next year. Topher Grace as a villian.... uh ya...Who will he be? The Nancy Boy or Dumbass. Wow, I thought sure Ass-ton Kutcher would be the first to bail on that show.

Lou Reed voiced Mok and I believe Cheap Trick sang Omar's songs. There was one called "Ohm Sweet Ohm" that I believe you just hear a snippet of the end of it in the movie. I've always wanted to hear that whole song.

Christopher Lambert plays Connor McCloud in every movie he's in, whether it's a Highlander gig or not. Just like Michael Douglas, Vince Vaughn, and Stifler from American Pie always play the same character in any movie they 'act' in.

Looks good!

I'm not a Robotech crusader nor do I believe it was superior to the original material. But the fact that it spread awareness of the existance of the originals around the globe is undeniable. No way they would enjoy the fan base in countries outside Japan without that. Majority of current fans would not have known about Macross without it, a lot of toys would not have been exported or made, and so forth.

So I watched the F91 movie. It was kind of meh but I have some questions: 1) Was F91 only a movie or was the movie cut from an OVA series? Seemed rushed and choppy. 2) They never address why the mobile suits have dramatically decreased in size 3) They act like the original Gundam suit is a distant memory. " Hey the face of this robot looks like that old one, what wa sit called? Gundam or something?" I thought the RX-78-2 was mass produced and became common in UC continuity 4) There were many F-9x Gundam variant models released. F-90, F-91, Sihlouette Formula, etc. None of that appeared in the show

Revenge of the Sith ROCKED! (spoiler free)

Saw on the news that some bit torrent site that had Episode III for download got shutdown hard today by the feds. They should have known that putting it up would get them some unwanted attention from the authorities. I'd say it will accelerate the demise of torrent sites. -
Judging from your model stack, you must be a Nissan Z car fan. I am too as I have a 300zx twinturbo and a G35 6MT.

BBTS confirmed in their newsletter they are getting more in at 64.99. So all those poor bastards on eBay can really cry now.

Please tell the sculptor the DYRL helmets are way bigger than the TV style. Like Mechamaniac says, it should cover down to the neck, and the visor should be a couple times bigger. Good on you for taking on this task though, VF1James.

I thought a few were still in service? And doesn't NASA have one it uses?
-
Just saw a new promo where Yoda says "We must destroy the Sith!" When did it become unacceptible to say "kill" in movies? They always say destroy or someting like that instead. PC gone wild.

What's up with the high price on these? The Vf-1J's that included fastpacks were only like $10 more. Is BBTS trying to jack us?

Sorry about the picture, I will resize it and add more. This is a real Blackbird, it has the rear seat and all that. It's at the Airforce Aviation Museum at Robbins AFB south of Atlanta. It's still leaking fuel from the rear belly from where the panels are not completely sealed to allow heat expansion during flight. I have a shot of the instrument panel too. There are several missing components which I assume were the secret bits. I was told the guy who was shot down over Russia in the U2 had flown this 71 at some point.

Had a relative who works at an Airforce museum get special permission to open the 400lb canopy and let me climb in. Pretty cool but cramped. Each of the rear tires on the landing gear are $8k to replace. They jacked up the plane and filled them with foam to keep them from deflating. The engines have been removed as well. Out by the front of the plane they had the starter cart that was used to crank the engines, it had two 400-something ci Buick engines in it. Also got a pic of a U2 that was on display.
