  1. Ahh yes my greatest moment and addition to 1/55 customs. Fulcy is the one who did the ball joint hips and that helped. All I did was remove unecessary plastic from the knee caps so the legs coudl bend more into the chicken stance. I have to say im not that much of a 1/60 fan either. after discovering the holy grail (my new vintage Taka GBP1S) I thought hey I should get the 1/60 GBP. It was kind cool and looked good. But the cod piece falls off as if the valk jsut cant wait to get naked. And It jsut doesnt seem as cool as the taka version. So i traded the GBP to Mike Salzo for a large SDF-1 yeay more vintage toys!!!!
  2. In the assortment there are only two others. the Xwing without Vader tie fighter and Boba Fett's Slave one. Not Jengo Fett's. The US release has Jengo Fett's slave 1 with the Jedi Starfighter. All it is the same model in different colored legos. a bit pricey at $7.69 w/o tax but pretty cool for the rareness
  3. Ok I am a fan of the lego starwars set. When Episode one came out my friend and I went to Midnight Madness at TRU and I picked up the Darth Vader Tie fighter and Y-wing deluxe set. Darth Vader the lego is the coolest action figure ever. Anyway I also like the Mini lego sets. At the Lego store a while back if you bought anything from there they gave away a free lego tiefighter, it is a special edition not available in the normal release. They only have Vader's Tie fighter. SDCC 04 was also handing them out and I picked up a couple of the lego tiefighters. Well anyway I found something interesting at my local Mitsuwa Super market. I mitsuwa market, it is a japanese super market and I can get all manners of delicious japanese goods. I also like to buy those candy toys. Well today I found japanese release lego minis!!!! And they do not exist in america. Maybe they are for the next series but most likely not. As XStoys explained once (when we found jedi hair lock accessory by Hasbro in japan) sometimes toys are produced but a decision is made that the particular toy will not sell well in america so since a small number has been already produced they sell it to a market (i.e japan) where the demand will be small yet yield better than america. its retarted but done all the time. So anyway without further ado, Here it is a Lego Mini Tie Fighter Interceptor!!!!!
  4. yeah I remember those games. I played them at school. along with the oldie and nice escape from regular class learning, Oregon Trail.
  5. Hey I like it. I love gestalts. No matter how ugly. I stil think it is cool. even though I never bought the spawn gestalt I thought it was cool.
  6. Yeah I was supposed to make some but never managed to. I just have the scans. Maybe I should hook up with Anasazi and get these printed.
  7. there is an easy and simple answer to all this. Make your own. And thanks to KIN we can very shortly.
  8. yes just variants of them.
  9. Errr hang on, IIRC, the mini Transformers (the truck & the gun whatever their names are) came with the September issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine, NOT Hobby Japan. Graham Oh right you are. Im sorry for the confusion. I get the two mixed up even though I shouldnt cause it clearly says Dengeki in japanese. Stupid me haha. no no new master grades or fixes. There is mention of something called Seed Destiny. the master grade Freedom gundam is in here with plenty of pics. there is a cool Super Robot wars robot. Huckebein Gunner. It looks like a gundam titan with a power suit. and wave rider. Pretty bad assed.
  10. here is the article on the WST Convoy and Megatron. Thes pics should satisfy you guys.
  11. Sorry this is a transformer thread. haha nah im kidding. I have kinda fallen out of Gundam and dont knwo what is cool anymore except what I like and its just SDs, Fix and MSia but only UC century. Im gonna keep these in the box since I already have the regular Convoy and Megatron. But here is a pic of the inner tray. Oh the bagged toys are taped to the tray.
  12. Pic of battroid and memo from Kawamori Sorry for the big pics but I wanted to show the details. Anazazi make some decals/stickers of this!!!!! The only hard part will be the pin up. there is a close up shot of it but its kinda small. Should be pretty easy to replicate. Find a pinup of a naked woman lying down and have her sit on a white comet with the words "Lady of the Comet" in yellow.
  13. a pic of fighter
  14. i havent seen anyone mention this mook except a brief post on how to order it. so I got it finally and did a review Figure Ou #77 Macross Chronicle and here is the custom 1/48 made by Figure Ou (not sure if the magazine made it or hired a modeler) but here it is and it is labeled in the Mook as "Figure Ou Original Paint Scheme Model"
  15. Ok first off I have to say that this is the best article on macross I have seen and i dont even know what it says. It is Figure Ou #77. ISBN4-8465-2480-9 This is a Mook (Magazine Book) The first article is of Shoji Kawamori. I assume it is biography related to macross. Some one needs to translate this asap. There is a two page long article of Mari Ijma, damn wich i had this when i saw her. Oh well next time. There is also an article of whom I assume is the head of Yamato This too needs to be Translated. Now for the nest part. A rather complete and comprehensive catalog of Macross Toys and models. It starts with the Takatoku Super VF-1S and shows the transformation sequence shot by shot as well as armor placement. while the pictures of the box, instructions and packaging are small you get an idea of the packaging. They resume with the rest of the Takatoku line. Each toy having its own mini article. Some like the VF-1J variants (Max, Hikaru, and Miria) each have shots of of every mode and front, side and back shots of battroid. They continue with the Taka GBP, SDF-1, Destroid conversion kit (but no box pic) Then they resume with the Bandai line of DYRL 1/55 valks. HCM valks and Joke Machine. including transformation sequence. every so often there is a little memo from Shoji Kawamori of real planes. There are images of completed SHE kits. They also show the Yamato Macross Plus Valks. along with memos from kawamori on the real planes he based these off of. Of course detailed images of Yamato line of toys. Alng with a Figure Ou custom that is up for some kind of giveaway and autographed by Kawamori. The issue includes the Yamato Helmet, Launch Arm, Koenig monster, VF-0 toy, and Kawamori's infamous lego valk he made for the SV-51 (there are pics of kawamori transforming the lego valk) I had video of it from the 2003 Hobby Expo but stupid me wrote over it in Japan. Then there is a montage of old macross merchandise from cards, carious models, paper monster, Macross watches, wonderfest kit that HG copied. They also talk about the bandai reissues, K&M figures, Tomy, Seika pencil sharpeners, Doyusha planes, and CM's figures And two pages of Hasegawa kits. the last page corner is a clip Present coupon which I assume you must mail away for a drawing to win various prizes. the ultimate as I mentioned earlier is the Figure Ou 1/48 VF-1A custom. you can also win 1/48 valks, doyusha, CMS, K&M, Seika sharperners and hase kits. There are a few thigs that I must complain about though. My beloved Joke Machines did not recieve as much attention as they should they only show the VF-1S and form my rudimentary japanese mention the VF-1A. There was no mention of the VF-1Js. There should have been images of all the Joke Machines. There is little comparison of the Bandai Reissues and regular Takas. They only talk about Tampo printing, and some indechipherable text of the back plates. They dont show all the Yamato Helmets. They could have contacted us for more prime examples. Like the 1/55 ostrich has a lot of yellowing on the left arm and shoulder. The 1990 Bandai Reissue of the Super Valk pic is incomplete. There are no missles or instructions or decals and any other inserts that were inclusive with this toy. They do not show the variations of the CM's figures. And the onyl shot of Minmei in the chair is the water color looking version, not the full colored version. At a retail value of 14.68 before tax from Kinokuniya, I recommend this Mook to every macross fan. Worth every penny. Now we need people to translate it.
  16. pic of back of box

  18. Ok i jsut picked up the latest Sept issue of Dengeki Hobby. And as I havent seen any post of it before today (I picked up the mag today with my Figure Ou mag) First off it comes with two variant World Smallest Transformers. By far i find this to be the greatest freebie toy with a mag ever. They are Convoy and Megatron. Convoy so far has had three versions. 1. Black Windows 2. Light blue windows 3. Ultra Magnus white now he has dark blue windows. whoopede doo but still cool. Megatron has all the red inserts of his legs and arms replaced with purple. you can see it in the pics. box art remniscent of G1 except the artwork used for megatron. I dont know why they didnt use the original G1 image but who cares. In this issue of Dengeki Hobby there is a 14 page article on the transformers. Ranging from the history of transformers to a mini version of the Transformer toy guide "Transformers Generations" it only covers the forms of Convoy and Megatron from G1, Star Convoy, Beast Wars, RID, Leo Convoy, Armada, and Energon. Then it has an article of Robot Masters, Binaltech, and WST. Also on there is a pic of a special black version of Robot Masters Convoy. Pic of Transformer box and Dengeki Hobby
  19. Oh damn!!!! Sky Shadow!!!!! what doe that look like folks? You know it, Cobra Rattler!!!!!!! yeah!!!! Definately Grimlock and Swoop. Didnt galavatron already come out for energon or was that for Armada at least he is colored correctly.
  20. Aight some our prayers have been answered. The new smokescreen aside from new roof scoop, front bumper facsia change and decal changes. He comes wih a cannon on the shoulder!!!!! Oh and his wheels look remnicsent of OZ rally rims found on the rally EVOs Ok here is a pic in the latest Hobby Japan (september 04 issue)
  21. yay for 1/55!!!! I too love my Bandai Reissue Super Vf-1S more than my DYRL 1/48 strike. Plus I love my Takatoku GBP-1s VF-1S even more haha!!!!!
