Best of luck to your project. At the last San Diego Comic Con, I saw a guy with a 1:1 scale R2D2 that he homebuilt himself too. It was fully remote control. He had al the color changing lights and what not. Like the red/blue eye changes colors intermitently and the rectangular lights on the head changed lights too. The chest stripes (the horizontal ones opened on command. Everything fromt eh head turning and the whistling was remote control. And the best part was that the top stripe was a front loading cd deck. (from car) And inside he had an entir sound system. The lower stripe revealed a audio deck display. then as it played music he made R2 dance. the funny thing was that he would make R2 drive around the dealer floor while kicking back with the remote in a messenger bag and make R2 run into people or follow people.

Yes sort of. The first one was a walking wind up doll/model kit. There is the CMs series 1 chase figure (which is the Minimei doll) Then there is the uber rare Minmei doll that I have only seen once in silver and in color from Hong Kong. It is smaller than the CMS version.

Alright the next project is a Beta/Tread to scale. From my REF Field guide the Tread is a scosh bigger than a Valkyrie. Remember Jung's comparison of 1/48 Imai model to the 1/48 Valk toy? Well that is about the size difference on the Tread.

Yes however the Froating Kawamori Head has made its way to mass produced media in teh Figure Ou book.

Another reason is that Kawamori didnt desing the SDF-1. Hence no Gerwalk.

Um Im curious as to what criteria these scientists gauge and rank these movies by? Entertainment value, scientific realism, etc.

Isnt that strange? I am assuming Bandai jsut bought out everything Takatoku but never exercised their ownership of that copyright and leased it out to Matchbox

Takatoku made the first one. And then matchbox released it in america. however sometime in the middle bandai had it. hence my SDF-1 says bandai on teh bottom. Was there an actual bandai release of teh SDF-1 or only matchbox with bandai printed on the bottom similar to Jokemachines.

Yeah this post was directed to only people who have 1/3000 SDF-1s. i was thinking of recasting the launcher parts but i didnt want to press my luck and ask CID to take apart his Takatoku SDF-1 so we call all have launching arms.

I dont know the price but prolly under 10 bucks. They look like this. I dont know what color Rohby will recast them in. I would prefer white though

Phil, you need to mod those knees. I love the 1/72 bandai kit too but I couldnt stand those stagnant legs reminicent of the 1/55. Here check out my modified 1/72

God that Imai kit by jung is so pretty. Even Kin's Paper model puts that alpha MPc to shame.

really aside form teh constant obedience to everything gunda, I liked the mini transformer article/chronicle of Megatron and Convoy.

You send in a post card with a few sentences on how you love macross. and they have a drawing and give stuff away. Pat: I ordered it from Kinokuniya.

haha I love that place!!! what its like 9 floors of toys!!!! Top floor has Airsoft and all teh cool toys. I also like teh Gundam/Zaku pillars in the front.

980 yen which should be about 10 bucks. But Kinokuniya ups the price. So it was 15 bucks.

Yeah I know I have most of the US versions. But the Tie Interceptor and Boba Fett's Slave 1 are not in the US versions.
