amazing how the things you already know as fact and history comes up new for some people. Anyway the Robotech version of the Joke Machine (not Bandai SD get the name right) are teh most common and easily found. There are actually 5 made by Bandai. The two missing from the Robotech set are from DYRL which is Hikaru and Max VF-1A.

Here is my take. The designer of teh shoe is a moderate fan of macross/robotech. Prolly a newbie and doesnt knwo teh sublte differences. I mean look at the strike valk sillhouette. Crap. So many better designs that that one. Second the skull and cross bones. One of my pet peeves. If your gonna use teh skull and cross bones to represent macross, at least get it right. It is the JOLLY ROGER symbol, not pirate of the carribean. There is a unique look to teh Macross Jolly Roger that is not seen in any other skull and cross bones save cet the US Airforce Jolly Roger which is where Macross took theirs. ugh hate fugly skull cross bones.

in terms of proportions (excluding the 1/48 skeleton hands which is easiy fixable with recast hands) the 1/48 is truly a better toy. Tons more detail all around

jesus you guys. IT jsut needs a little love. See the good old "5 dollar" bootleg? This is what it was like before yamato and Bandai reissues. And if you are smart enough custom the canopy (since there is none) Oh yeah and those nasty botlegs dont have the spring loaded landing gears like the led cockpit version

dont mock the LED cockpit. You use it for the clear canopy on your Bandai Reissues. also the plastic ont hat boot is much better than the yellow purple crap we see here.

Yeah I have a mini poster of that image of the half x-ray of the SDF-1 The background is red. It was for Shokakugan Video and this image is realted to DYRL. As teh poster is titles Macross DYRL. But teh funny thing is if this image was on a DYRL poster then why is it the TV version haha.

uh you are buying a different brand. These are ChoroQ pull back and wind. The RC versions are called DigiQ. you bought a Bit CharG they are slow but more control as they have actual steering. Digi Q are just cute and go really really fast.

with the uber controler they are ridiculously fast. btu witht eh regular they are moderately fast. They drive like a tank. two motors one controlling respective sides.
