i doubt it. i think they purposely posted the price tag to guage the interest and to see how people feel about the price and the product. i for one think its 100% overpriced since it lacks any of the coolness of the strike armor. i mean, atleast you can transform a valk with FP's, the GBP is nothing more than a stagnant piece that truly does nothing but stand there to be oggled at. sure its cool as hell but i can't justify paying more for the GBP armor than a set of FP armor. However, given the fact how much more plastic there is in teh GBP than a set of fastpacks. How much does the 1/6 gbp armor go for? like 60 bucks? well now scale it up and add more detail. I can see it being that much

I think they will do what they did with the 1/60. Make a set with jsut armor and one set with a VF-1J.

Hmm that version of fire convoy is super rare now, but 185 is nuts, I wouldn't say it is super rare I just saw one recently for much less than that MISB too. Honestly unless it is the Limited Super Black Fire Convoy from RID I don't see the point in getting the Takara version when the Hasbro version is a)cheaper, b)just as good, and c)readily available. ah yes but does your scream out "supa faiya conboy!!!!!!!"" in japanese?

sigh that is why you need to come to MW Con. Last year Seiichi, in his generosity, sent out gifts to everyone. Well while supplies last. I have a few of those keychains, from my own collection. But I didnt have the SDF-1 but thanks to Seiichi-kun, I do now. Also he sells hand painted ones. When i went to Japan he was very nice and as part of japanese culture, to give gifts to ones host and guest ( I was unaware of this custom) he gave me a hand paitned VF-1J

actually I have both regular bandai strike box and tatsunoko strike boxes and both have that wriggling worm look on it too. I was wondering why it was like that. Anyway, Alpha-GHQ can you take some close up pictures of it? What do you mean by Tastsunoko strike box? Did you mean Takatoku? Only Bandai made a Strike Valkyrie. The one I have has the textured box. However the Bandai Super Ostrich and Elintseeker boxes I've had were glossy/slick like the one AGENT-GHQ describes on his latest Strike. It's possible he has a later issue Strike which was released around the same time as the Elint and SuperO and the box stock had changed. nope, I'm not talking about takatoku. Tatsunoko like agent - GHQ stated is the company that I guess released the last few sets of the strike valk. But one thing that I've noticed is that all the people who were selling the tatsunoko boxes off of ebay had the valk correct but had the jetfire armor instead. So what I'm guessing is that when bandai stopped making the figures, Tatsunoko picked up the left over valks and packed them with jetfire armor. I've also seen the elint come with the jetfire armor as well. So before you buy another strike, make sure it comes with the actual strike armor! I dunno pat. I think since jetfires are so easily accessible compares to Strikes that is why they have teh jetfire armor. THey prolly lost their strike armor. Dangit I need a strike

While I dont own any original BANDAI boxes I do have Takatoku box. Perhaps you are confusing Takatoku and Bandai. Takatoku has a sort fo wriggling worm lookign texture to their boxes. I dont think Bandai does hence in your case. or its a shoddy bootleg and you should just give it to me for disposal

I guess the shock is that I have become dulled/desensitized from explosions. But this seems so much more visceral and more personal. Jsut some citizen getting his head chopped off

haha no you guys are mistaken. The missing arm armour is from ym GBP/VF-1S gift pack. The hodge podged armor was the one I got back. But no it wasnt that guy.

The one with the resin parts is the one I lent out. I procurred the set from an ebay auction. But it was lacking a lot. Fastpacks, leg armor and left side shoulder and arm armor. Rob Beers wanted some of my infamous $5 bootlegs and in return recasted the remaining pieces that I was missing. So now I can add the arm armor to my near complete GBP gift set. oh yeah and the guy was in Singapore so that didnt help.

Ok as some of you know I lent out my 1/55 GBP out to a fellow MW member back after MW Con 2. We are now approaching MW Con 5. Well he kinda dissapeared and I never heard back from him. But then I wasnt really pursuing it in good faith. I kinda gave up since I had long deleted my PMs. So my bad didnt remember his name or address. Then out of the blue couple months ago he pms me that he still has it. I reply asking for it back and again no reply. So I sent him and email a couple weeks back and voila a reply!!! so here it is (now all I need is one more arm armor)
