  1. Ok that is just freaking awesome. I have always wanted a bull pup!!!! You got PM. Thanks for getting me inspired!!! I must make this!!!!
  2. I modified a red umbrella with a $20 hasbro light saber. So it has SFX.
  3. Sadly the people on the Nerf team are not that into researching what works in the real firearm world. they just go for the "cool" factor. I too prefer the ergonomics of the Alphatrooper but find the performance of my Recon to be better. Also I can't integrate a Barrel break as nicely on the Alpha trooper. Which is the reason I modded my recon with a SCAR/KRISS super V inspired charging handle.
  4. Raider stocks are the best. When you get the Barrel Break, I recommend making it into a master key. Here is my Masterkey Recon.
  5. Graham, since you are in HK, go find a Pantac MP7 holster. They are rigid enough to and large enough to holster a maverick. Raider is better than the Alpha trooper. Normal sized dump pouch can carry two drums if you "69" them in the pouch.
  6. I like Bee's toy room. That is a great display set up.
  7. Very nice. I havent even begun to build my Fiancee's command car. She is the Patlabor fan. But i finally found my 1:24 Police Alternators.
  8. Why dream? Make it a reality now. I live in a tiny apartment with my fiancee. But I still manage to cram some of my collection that I want to display.
  9. Jason, count me in. Is it Alex helping you on this?
  10. Contrary to common disbelief, you can have the saddle bags on post-transformation. They attach on but restrict the movement of the thigh guards. The rear box is stable and nests between the wheel arms. I dont mind the rear box but the saddle bags are so large that it looks rather goofy like this. However I just experimented and post these pictures of a proof of concept. My side saddle boxes are not glued to the mount plate, so it makes it easier to mount the rear plate first and then attach the box to the plate.
  11. Here you go. Ask and you shall receive.
  12. Nope. Its taken in pitch dark and using only my iPhone flashlight app as a source of light. It is like a scale version of a kinoflo studio light. It provides even lighting all around. A little Off Topic, but to illustrate the iphone lighting here are some examples of my Lego pictures. (this one uses water and baking soda for the atmosphere effect) Similar concept but using a flashlight that is all flood and has a warmer tint.
  13. You guys need the rocket launcher too!!! I was one of the first to grab these from Exo. I just havent taken a picture til now haha. At the NY Sakura Matsuri in Brooklyn, Kinokuniya was there. They had one Megahouse Blowsperior for sale. I picked it up for $55. Not bad.
  14. That is a shame. I would only buy it as a complete set. Did Jayce ever find his father?
  15. Actually Lynx, it is a 50 rd drum. So it is quite the game changer. I dont know how well it will work sideways in a raider but So far there has been no other information about the 50rd drum. I think Hasbro is keeping it quiet. So it doesnt screw over current Stampede sales. I know Im waiting for it to get a stampede.
  16. So i picked up the swarmfire the other day. It is a nifty blaster. Im getting about 50 feet with the ARs removed. So I cracked open the swarmfire. Very easy. Just remove the yellow shells and then open the gray body. The motor/piston system is encased in a off-white casing that is held with snaps and a couple screws. Dont forget to remove the turret. It is only held in with one screw. Pop out the plunger tube. Careful cause there is a small spring. The turret has posts just like a Vulcan chain. just cut them out from the back. Here is the plunger tube. I covered up that small hole with electrical tape. The AR is an orange piece of plastic. In the plunger tube, there is also a white cross with a circle. It is what the spring pushes against to push the orange AR. I cut that out too. The end of the plunger tube is glued in. I used a knife to carefully separate the tube body from the end cap and break the glue seal. I put everything back together. I didnt even bother gluing the plunger tube cap on, it just nests into the tube. Here is what the plunger and spring look like. I have easily doubled the range. I estimate about 40-50 feet. Here is a video of the swarmfire compared to my element and pistol splat. No where close haha. The Swarmfire has a NF spring inside it. spring dimensions Length at rest: 74.35mm Length at full compression: 11.4mm Diammeter: 22mm Picture comparing NF spring (the longer one) to the Swarmfire spring (shorter one) Here are some more detailed pictures of the entire Swarmfire. exterior Yellow accent half shell removed Gray shell removed. Gearbox opened. the white disc can be simply pulled off to get access to plunger rod and spring. The plunger tube head has a foam seal that is pushed up against the turret. This little slot is where the spring goes. When putting the plunger tube back in do not put the spring in that slot. Put the tube back in first. Then from the outside insert the spring into this hole. It makes it much easier. Here are some exploratory images that may give you an idea for possible mods. The turret is two parts. the "barrels" and the cogged ring that rotates the barrels. They are not glued together!!! Not even held together with screws. The barrels are screwed into a post in the gear box. That is what holds the cogged ring up against the gearbox. I used a stepped drill bit to clean the cogged ring's holes. However there is no longer any ledge to act as a dart stop. So putting in stock nerf darts has the possibility of going in too deep and possibly hitting the gear box as it rotates. Also if you look at the cogged ring, it has small rectangular slots above and below the holes. I think filling those slots will reduce a little dead space. The reason is the plunger head has two holes. Obviously so that when the turret rotates the plunger tube will line up with either the outer ring of darts or the inner ring of darts. So depending on which ring, one half of the plunger head is covered up, but that rectangular slot will allow some air to escape into that slot. It is such a small amount of space but just an idea. In this picture you can see the white post poking out past the cogged ring. I am able to nest 9/16 inch petg into the cogged ring. However it is a loose fit. I suspect a 1mm clearance around the PETG. However it shows that this gun is ready for some simple upgrades. Oh but only if you could rear load this fully automatic turreted nest of bees? Oh but you can. It is as if Nerf knows what we will do with this. With a minor snip here and there you could open up the shell even more for better access and ergonomics to rear load the turret. And from BOTH sides if you wanted to.
  17. I found the walmart special value pack. Now my Nerf Recon Masterkey is complete.
  18. Just like the men of the Manhattan Project, I have created something so awesome that it is an automatic loss for any opposing force. I present the tactical zhuzhu pet!!!! It was a joke between a friend and myself after watching this video go to 1 min and 50 secs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMao4s0ixOA&feature=related
  19. I added a handle to my SSPB. I had modded it a couple year ago with a crayola marker for a barrel and a rail mount from a recon sight. Since I cut off the handle to my Barrel break to my my Masterkey, I recycled the handle and ziptied it to the SSPB.
  20. exactly. Why mod a nerf gun when you can build one from scratch? This is the Plusbow that I made:
  21. its not nearly as bad as making a Plusbow with a dremel. (which I did)
  22. Meh its nothing compared to my backpack equipped CPS 3200 http://images.sscentral.org/gallery/stock/cps3200_00.jpg However the new Nerf Super Soakers are pretty awesome. They can be modified to shoot nerf darts. The modifications are a bit advanced but nothing terrible. Here is my Tornado Blast. It is a Tornado Strike with Shotblast internals. The shotblast is last years SS but target has an exclusive reissue in this years SS color. Here are the internals. For those not familiar, this is a RSCB clip (RSCB is an acronym for the guys who created it). Darts are loaded in the rear tube all inline. You tilt it down and the darts slide freely to the "T" section. The other end is a tube of smaller diammeter, it must be a tight fit for darts. The bottom of the T has an elbow that you can hook up to powerful spring guns or air powered pump guns. In this case the Shotblast tank. Air is forced up into the T and takes the path of least resistance. Which is to fill up the tube with the darts, after finding no more room it will push out one dart out the barrel. Tilt to reload, prime the gun and shoot. each dart after the other will decrease in range or you pump the gun with more pumps to build pressure to compensate for the extra dead space. I added a Nerf mag inside the SS mag. I oriented it upside down so I can pull the darts out and refill the internal magazine.
