So this french guy, Hubert de Lartigue, looked at Paris Metro Tickets and thought, hey I bet I can make something cool. And he did, a Millenium Falcon. No glue, jsut clever folding and cutting. here is his website with detailed instructions on how to make this fantastic piece of art. http://www.hubertdelartigue.com/pp_falcon_01.html Then he also made an X-wing as well. instructions. http://www.hubertdelartigue.com/pp_xwing_01.html Here are my versions. Lots of fun to build!!

I am very pleased. I for one will mot scrutinize the sculpt as anything, even someting as shoddy as a Transformer Bootleg is better than a Toynami Product. I do fear that the price will probably be around $250+ if you look at the pricing of a non transforming mecha from Patlabor is at around $130. However I believe it is worth it. An MPC Alpha alone was at retail, $80. so another $170 for a Beta? sure why not? I am hoping it will be about MPC size. but given the size of CMs past toys they are a bit smaller. so I think this will be rather small.

freaking finally!!!! there is hope. But if you look at CMS past history in prices. this will be about 200 or more. i mean they want $130 for a CMS Patlabor? WTF that is ridicuolus. now the Gaogaigar sets are worth the money and Im glad I got one.

Fulcy showed me this. So i thought hey it looks like it would work for a 1/72 and it does!!!. It was orignally a hanger for 1/100 scale gundams. Contact Fulcy for more info. There are pre-painted ones, and non painted versions.

Well the problem is that Im in pittsburgh now. and no concievable venue. I was jsut spitballing to have it around Comic Con time. yeah yeah yeah there are logistical issues involved. Liek getting our collections and crap. But I figure who cares. what have we not seen in the past 5 cons that I have hosted? I figure worst case there will be less MWCon and more Comic con!!!! getting people to show up is better I think. Liek have a dinner and jsut talk macross and other stuff. what do you think? of course i will make a shirt. Unless someone else wants to host this year's con. I know last year we were desperate so we used Phatslappy's house. But I for one would like to steer clear of that type of get together.

you should invest in a decent 200-300 dollar digital camera.
-
you missed your chance at MWCon 05. When seiichi came. As a japanese custom, he provides small gifts to people he visits. (we should have given him someting back but oops forgot) I snatched up the SDF-1 the second he placed them on the table. I was gonna go for the VF-1S btu nah. I figure the SDF-1 is harder to get. Also i have two Gerwalk keychains. My original and a second one my GF got me that also had the SD hikaru Strike cellphone strap. (not the Focker you see above)
-
good luck. This is the larger of the keychain/cell phone straps. The most common are the SD ones by banpresto. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/_...o_keychains.htm Here is the Gerwalk. I used to have the matching Fighter mode on my old digital camera. but I lost it cause the figure broke off the keychain screw thing.

I dont think you will need a step down transformer. if you look at a laptop power supply. they can handle a lot of power. you jsut gotta plug it in. Like this sony laptop infornt of me at the moment. the input can accetp 100-240V 50/60 hz. So there are no worries. the powersupply will convert the power no problem. you jsut gotta physically fit it in the wall. and japanese originated products have no problems and vice versa.

You might want to try a pipe cutter. If you cut the barrel yourself DO NOT use a hacksaw. There are these special cutters for pipes. well anything cylidrical. You will ruin the shape of the barrel if you cut it with a normal saw. thepipe cutter has a circular cutting disc. and a clamp. it clamps on to the pipe and you run the cutter around the pip along the outside. it cuts deeper and deeper as you run it. but when it cuts it does not deform the metal at all. Its what people use to cut down airsoft barrels. In airsoft, there are silencers. but they are not tru silencers. they do not decrease the decibels of the muzzle report but rather change the pitch. Like my stock Mk23 Socom has a silencer that lowers the pitch so much that it is hard to hear it. even when its right next to your ear.
-
bah go with airsoft. Real looking guns. more fun. more attachements and modifications. haha. to each their own.

Good things come to those who wait haha. Now arent you glad you didnt pay 300 for the one I got? All minty white haha jk. Nice find look like it is in good condition. Pat it may be all yellow but it looks good all yellow.

see i consider the stealth and the Low Vis 2.0 to be non-canon. But I think the Minmei Guards are pseudo canon.
-
I think that the majority of that list is ridiculous hoping. You guys need to think of how the companies operate. They make one mold so they can milk it for all its worth. In lieu of that I could see them making another set similar to the superstealth. They already have the boxes made and everything. I WANT to see them make Minmei Guards 1 & 2. Easily within the scope and range of Yamato to mass produce. Granted the QC issues and tampo printing are key factors. I would like to know (doesnt have to be discussed with yamato) but how is it that Takara can make the MP Starscream with very little QC issues and market it at only 75-80 dollars range. Heck even at 100 it is still cheaper than 1/48s. Of course there are the rare times when some of us could fetch a 1/48 for 115 and maybe jsut maybe we are lucky to get one on sale at 100 in japan. Is it jsut the sheer amount of money that Takara/Tomy can throw around? How many 1/48s are made of a particular variant (not that it matters as its just a matter of color scheme compared to how many MP Starscreams? It seems to me that Takara has got the right idea. Highly Detailed, Size comparable to 1/48, complexity of the toy similar, and yet cheaper by almost 40 dollars or more.
