    I finally got my set. took two weeks after they were "shipped" But these are terrible. I took close up shots. barring the awful flash on the figures the pour points completely obscure detail. Look at the left side of my bike. The rider with armor is so bad I didnt take a picture of it.

    Picked up Classics Liono. A bit pricey at $20 and the sword is really floppy.

    Alpha Trooper has the best of all features. It is an improved recon. The slide/pistol style cocking action is gimmicky. the shotgun pump style of the alpha trooper is clearly an advantage. I like the alphatrooper for that reason. However You cant integrate as easily as the Recon. However im working on getting a Photon Storm and that will eliminate the need for the recon in terms of style.

    Deploy CS6 isnt that bad. gets better range than a maverick. It is just a collapsible raider. It makes for a great P90 mod.

    I found a simple and easy cosmetic mod for the Skystriker intakes. The lack of turbine fans inside the intakes bothered me. Luckily, Hasbro has some molded on the front of the removable engine tubes. So just remove the engine and cut about 1/4 inch off at the front. Then trim the sides of the turbine fan so you can pop the fans into the front of the intakes.

    So after getting the Starscream, I wanted G1 style weapons. Another idea came to me, Jetfire and VF-1!!!!! So here is the mock up for the Skystriker Gunpod.

    How did you get the vortex already? they are not out til sept. I have the Alpha Trooper kit. It has QC issues. The pieces are not made from CNC but laser/stamp cutting which warps the pieces a little bit and causes tolerance issues. Mine had the bolt catch snag on the inside of the shell. So I had to file it down a bit to smooth out the action. Also I cannot rely 100% on the bolt catch working. Sometimes it does not engage and hold the bolt back.

    I like the show. Gary (the former intern on the show Bones) is funny. However I see a LOT of X-Men Charles Xavier influences in the show and the heavy handed and blatant themes and morals.

    Where did you get the standard version? I want to make two. One as Macross of course. and the second as Jetfire. To answer the other persons question. I had to sticker it myself. the only part painted is the orange/red bars over the intakes and blue nosecone.

    My friend helped me pick this up at SDCC. She gave it to me last weekend. I just finally got a chance to take an impromptu photoshoot.

    Actually it is very easy to clip the barricade. The hardest part is merely getting the pusher bar, tuned just right to push the darts. the problem is that the bar needs to be long enough to push the clip system darts into the fly wheels. But not too long that it drags and gets caught on the tail end of the next dart as the dart pusher retracts. I used a spare Raider mag well. You need to remove some of the safety linkage in the mag well but It is a nice self contained unit. Then i just attached it with 6 zipties. That is it.

    I got the SDCC optimus prime thanks to a friend of mine. It loiks great with my hybrid yellow stock tube and blue raider stock. Normally the raider stick has a light gray stock. The barricade yellow stock has a dark gunmetal tube which matches the prime barricade.

    Oh yeah, if you can find it, I recommend the Nerf Pinpoint sight. It is a reflex red dot by Nerf. a little hard to find now though.

    You should take a look at Orangemodworks. I got their Alphatrooper upgrade kit. Im waiting for their Level 2 with metal plunger tube and bolt.

    UN_Marine's bull pup design got my juices flowing and I finally sat down to make my own bull pup. I had pieces out the basic plan for what parts I would want. My main goal was to use only stock nerf parts. I wasnt sure how the build will go but I want to make it with only nerf parts. So I sized up my clear deploy and clear raider. Overlapped parts to see where they would line up. The rear section was the easiest. The front rail/sight/grip section was tough. Then I made a charging handle using the Deploy charging handle. And used a coat hanger to wire up the front trigger to the bolt release mechanism. I did not use any glue. everything is screwed together so it can be taken apart and be tweaked. The action of the bolt is not as smooth as I would like so I need to tweak it. But it is a fully functional bull pup. Here is a comparison shot with my other all stock/modified nerf guns.

    Wow guys harsh. My fiancee and I really liked this one. I really liked the attention to other forms of racing. While they didnt explain some aspects, due to length of time and the side story of Mater's spy adventures, It was nice to see real race cars. F1, rally, LeMans Gran Touring, JGTC etc. also I dont know if it is a marketing thing, but I saw a LOT more name brand cars. Like there was an Audi and a Honda Insight plus other cars i cant name right now. Besides the obvious ones. I mean cars in the background.

    Im not that much into Green Lantern. But I do like Ryan Reynolds. Some of his roles are just funny. I watched it and I liked it. Did I like it enough to get the dvd or blu ray? nope. I think my brother would have liked it but I wish he was around to explain things to me. I had to look up parallax on wikipedia. I remember when Hal Jordan became Parallax, I have the Total Justice action figure from the 90s. So i was a little confused about the cloud thingy that was Parallax. I did like this more than Thor.

    I cant remember if the 18rd drum has it, but the 35rd drum has a stoppage knob in the center of the drum. You basically push and turn the knob to back off the dart pusher and then ride the dart pusher back up into the mag portion.

    Sorry I didnt see this until now. It is really simple Graham. The attachment point of the Barrel Break is rather simple. You just need to analyze the top rail of the barrel break. then open up the Recon front rail system. Cut off the bottom rail so that the bottom is smooth. Then cut enough material out so that when the rail system is closed and screwed tight, it will close onto the barrel break rail. The Recon railsystem will act like a GIANT rail mount. You will also need to cut the handle of the barrel break off otherwise it will interfere with the magwell and mag of the Recon.
