  1. I would once again like to thank Al Gore for inventing the internet
  2. Not a great scan but..... Hasegawa Non Fast-Pack VF-1J's
  3. These guys are pretty reputable Squadron.com
  4. Outstanding paint scheme !!!!! You've inspired me to pick this kit up as I previously had reservations based on that ugly-ass pink.
  5. That's nice ..... But I'm eagerly waiting for a VF-0D.
  6. I think people have a tendency to over-thin their paints when airbrushing. I thin Tamiya acrylics w/ 25% isoprop alcohol and airbrush at 20 psi and normally don't have any problems. I get splatter when the paint on my siphon feed starts to run out. I've also started using Gunze-Sangyo acrylics and I'm really starting to use these more often, they come pretty thin to begin with and its easier to match up the colors with the Hasegawa instructions when doing Macross models. Best advice though is trial and error. Practice on a cheap model with different thinning ratios and pressure settings.
  7. I always thought that was a strange name for a valk considering the Regult (battlepod) looks and moves exactly like an Ostrich.
  8. My VF-1D Gerwalk came w/ a Focker figure but I'm not sure if every kit came w/ a figure.
  9. Lat 45 0' 16.09779978" Long -93 29' 25.51349634"
  10. Looks Great !! Those Hasegawa decal sheets are great for kitbashing
  11. My feelings exactly.....I think once all 5 eps have been released and I can watch the whole OVA in one sitting, I'll enjoy it a lot more.
  12. I'll be the first to admit that I am pretty naive/uninformed about the garage kit business and I can see merit in both arguments. Obviously the kit maker would not want to see his creation copied. but.... As a kit maker I would also have a problem with people buying my product with no intention of ever putting the model together. It seems like people go to these shows buy up the kits and sell them down the road for 4 times their original price. Pretty soon the price is so high you're afraid to ever put the model together and forever stays in pieces.
  13. I've never had a problem with anyhting I've pruchased from them. Really cheap shipping too.
  14. I'm pretty sure the shot came from a second Meltrandi on a grassy knoll
  15. I live in Minneapolis, but we should probably discuss something about toys before this topic gets locked. Dave
  16. Sable was unable to attend last night’s SmackDown house show due to one of her breast implants leaking. Apparently the implant was leaking before ‘Mania but she went ahead and worked her match anyways. Nevertheless she will undergo a procedure to get the problem fixed and will be just fine. Talk about dedication Brock Lesnar was on a radio station this morning in Minneapolis talking about his potential future in the NFL. He said he was pretty unhappy in the WWE for the past year due to all the traveling and it was difficult for him to be away from his family. He even bought his own airplane hoping to cut down on the amount of travel but still ended up being on the road for 3 weeks at a time. He heads down to Phoenix in a couple of days to do a month of training and then will hopefully get a tryout somewhere. He was all state in high school as a football player and while he was in school as a wrestler at the University of Minnesota, the head coach offered him a spot on the team. Should be interesting to see how this plays out.
  17. Not to beat a dead horse but..... I still don't see any reason why Yamato can't have just one little tiny page on their website with news on upcoming releases in English. I'm not asking for a mirror site completely translated into English, just a couple of paragraphs updating us on any new news. Graham is a great resource but its just frustrating to be ignored by this company especially considering how much money the members of this site alone spend on Yamato products. Big West has some of their site translated into English, why can't Yamato?
  18. Sounds Great !! Can't wait to see pics
  19. Looks great !! The VT-1 is a tough one to paint.....you really need to make sure you've got a good 'masking' technique otherwise it can give you a lot of headaches.
  20. I always get a kick out of watching Marj take swan-dive off of the Macross in M+.
  21. I'd like to see a 1/48 VT-1 Super Ostrich ala the 1/48 Strike recast we saw a while back.
  22. I think "The King of Pop" MPC will give me nightmares tonight
  23. I believe this is what you are looking for: Squadron.com
  24. Dobber- Unfortunately you can't do an acrylic wash over an acrylic base coat. You are thinning your wash with the same solvent used to apply your base coat which causes it to strip the base coat. Try using a lacquer gloss coat after you apply your acrylic base coat. I'm guessing your hobby shop should have the Model Master Glosscote in the spray can. Once that cures, you could apply a wash using acrylics because you now have a lacquer barrier separating your acylic base coat with your acrylic wash. I would recommend using the oil wash that WMCheng has made famous around here. I'll try and find the thread.
  25. That's the great thing about Future you don't have to thin it with anything. You can airbrush it straight from the bottle or if you are going to apply it by paint brush it self levels, and leaves virtually no brush marks. Its also acrylic so it won't do much damage. Best of all its real cheap, I can get a bottle of it at the grocery store (kitchen cleaning supplies aisle) for $3 or $4 and it will last me a year. I'm not sure that this will solve your problem, did you seal it with Semi-Gloss after you applied the oil wash?
