Most Ridiculous Amount Of Money You Have Spent
Southcross replied to ComicKaze's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
since time is money... I bought a 26 episode series, Blue Gender ($24)... watched all 12 hours in one day... re-watched Disc 1 (3 hours) the next day... then rewatched the set again the next day.... then over the next two weeks I spent between 50-60 hours (I lost count this week, might be more in the area of 80-100 hours) doing video editing and re-watching segments of the entire series for video/audio clips. ok... so figuring in the hours and the realized value of my time.... I spent over $2,000 on the series -

I bought the MAC releases of I and II.... I was awesome, even better than I remembered it... II uses video "over compression" and has other appearance issues.... its a MAC release, go figure -

if anything... I would say the box looks like this one: http://www.animeniacs.com/item/DVD1989.html not sure, as I said... I shop in their store, their shelf items usually dont' match/look like what they list on their website.
-
So you're talking about the bootleg... http://www.animeniacs.com/item/DVD1989.html Right? 395923[/snapback] probaby yes... I don't shop from their website though they have stuff on their shelves that isn't even listed on their website
-
ok.. parafrase all that for me... so, is it truely in English (dub) or not?
-
ack... I forgot, I had to DL it seperately... if you DL the AMV pack from A-M-V.org, it will install it.

"Holy bad Steven Segal movie Batman!" "Yes Robin, its called a 'thread highjack'" "Batman!?! Shouldn't they all just STFU?"

I've been eyeing the Macross DVD set at ANIMEniacs (they are local to me ) On the back of the HK import box it lists the spoken languages Japanese AND English Tracks? Is the series seriously playable in English? I thought that english may/will be available some day, but not any time soon?

I've killed the .torrents.... thepiratebay's tracker is waaaay too unreliable!
-
the BEST application suite for taking DVD video and making .AVIs for you PC has got to be "Gordian Knot"... Google it. When you DL it, just make sure its the .35 version (their main page shows ver .28, you just need to go deeper into their site). I encode everything as Divx 3.11.... then use the included App BeSweet to convert the audio (AC3) to either Wav or MP3... Then I use Premiere Pro 1.5 to edit/mux everything together
-
I've had requests to share it via some method "other" than via .torrents I've uploaded it to a-m-v.org... http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/lo...ke.php?v=115430 AMV summary page: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/me...fo.php?v=115430 Cheers

"Hate Me" by Blue October, set to scenes and audio clips from Blue Gender. Its a Tad long (12:26 ) and 97.5MB... had many issues with background music, but I think for a first time building one, I don't think it came out too bad .Torrent Removed by Southcross I have never used ThePirateBay.com's tracker before... so please don't blame me for any connection issues :?
-
thanks for the info... will look into Azureus
-

To put it bluntly.... I don't spend as much time online as I used to... but oddly I have three Servers (domain controller, webserver, and once again FTP), two machines that run MMORPGs Combine the "machine" online time, totals over 108 hours a day... my job leaves me so stressed I don't want to deal with people, so I spend a few hours every evening killing stuff with my Mage or my Archer... maybe research a few things to fix my car or check the weather... like right now, I'm typing this from work before I go home anywaysies... I need feedback on running my FTP services... "positive or constructive feedback" and such... whiners will be ignored. Turns out due to Proxy and Firewall here at work, I can't test my server... and if I try to connect to my FTP from home its behind my own firewall (pointless, its a guaranteed connection). I need feedback from you users, preferably from those that know a possible cause and also preferably a possible solution to any problems... I'm not going to be on here constantly, but I will check this thread from time to time. As always... donations are appreciated
-
hey... I run a machine (three now) off my own hard earned money.... bad enough Comcast gouges the crap out of me I've putting up with having to accomodate countless numbers of peeps... no donations... complains and whining... lots and lots of whine... but no crackers and cheese I really like crackers and cheese... New Server Specs: Compaq AMD K6-2 533 256mb RAM 20gig HD on a 4 MB Cable Modem connection Upload limited to 256MB (due to federal regs on residential connections) Firewalled on a 100MBs local connection Protected by Symantec AV Corporate and Last but not least.... Uploading information... the only thing I would like to see uploaded for my benefit.... active anime .torrents Login: MWUser Password: Robotech4Ever (exactly as it appears, caps included)[/b][/u] Based on any abuses, permissions and such may change...

iMacrossVII is sorta back online, AO 6:45am Mountain Time this morning. I still have an issue with my router I need to resolve At present it is a "normal" Anonymous login for downloading... I work on setting up new upload logins, when the HD failed it took all the upload account setings I had made. I now have 7+ gigs allocated for FTP services (approx 2 used), compared to the old server only had about 300+MB free
-
WTF! I finally got iMacrossVII back online (baring a new firewall issue with my router I hope to fix this evening) @ 6:45am this morning... so the iMacross "project" is dead now?

Looking for ROBOTECH the movie UNTOLD STORY
Southcross replied to SledgeHammer's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
jez quit the dope instead of saying stupid things try to act normal like most of the other people in here Speaking of dopes. You're the one that came here acting like you don't give a crap with your "long live robotech" signature and give me what I want. Why don't you learn how to ask for things especially with your first post! People think that they're so tough because they can be nasty in a forum while sitting behind a screen. I got news for you. It's the internet, it's even harder to get along, freak! Like I said, I have problems with "1st post" requests like these. Boinger was very gracious to host the files... which btw for posterity's sake I'm gonna have to get a copy to put on CDR -
This one? Wow... those 2 sure got their groove on. hey If I were Max, I'd be tappin' that every chance I got

Looking for ROBOTECH the movie UNTOLD STORY
Southcross replied to SledgeHammer's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
If someone wants to share a digital copy of this, I would suggest that its done as a BitTorrent. If the person sharing the Vid wanted to post the .torrent file to the server I'm all for it. As for the Video itself, I would have to say NO (since upload accounts are given on a personal basis, I'm sure no one wants to piss off the server owner ). Between space and current bandwith limitations, also I find it a tad troublesome that this person has a wopping post count of 1 and joined today. Heck I'm sure there are enough people (RT and Macross fans) who might be interested in seeing said video, the person who does the Torrent might consider posting the .torrent on a site like SuprNova -
HLJ is using a stock image, its quite possible Hase changed something for this new release... then again, it might just be new decals
