But if it did get dubbing than it would most likely get DVD quality video and audio, and that's all I care about. Like adding a cherry on top of a sundae (sp?). :wild applause: I hear that

I'm looking for custom 1/55 heads, any recomendations for suppliers? I have looked around the boards and I really don't see any posts.

You sumed up in two small posts so perfectly how its done. Thank you Jung. Now to figure out how (what colors, etc) to do my models.

 really don't know, guess it might have to do with the changed "plot/story" for the Movie. Maybe lack of expected interest in the Dubbed movie.. I just remember reading something about how "they gave up dubbing the movie while doing the footage from the 3rd OVA"

I want to learn doing panel lines and the dry brushing techniques you used. Do you have a specific book(s) that you read, or happen to have them on PDF and can e-mail them to me

Ok, now you've done it... my eyes are watering

Please stop... your gonna make me cry

Monkey, can you find one of those things for LESS than fifty bucks shipped? It's my 21st this friday, and this.. this.. would be SO perfect.... Gratz Green Guy

Thanks fo the tip Southcross. Do you know other than "fly float" that can be used as a preventive measure? There are tons of manufacturers, I only know of the one product name: "Fly Float" Its 100% silicon and has the consistency of Crisco. Don't use petroleum products as it can melt or soften plastics, clump, and attract dust. Oh BTW, you only need a little and just work it into the joint. Too much and you'll be wiping it off every time you play with it (LMAO, sorry still sounds says bad every time I proof read it). Also don't use any of the "thin" silicon lubes, doesn't "stay" where you put it.

Ack! Great... Ghost fighters... all we need now is Sharon Apple to sing the Inaugural concert

Man, you got me all pumped up & excited! You got a pic of it? In case of an emergency, where can I get the "fly float" stuff? Is it better than coating the ball joint with nail polish? Use "fly float" as a preventative measure. It can be purchased in a fishing supply store, in their Fly fishing department. Now it might go under different names, but it’s used to "water proof" fishing flies. Only use Fingernail polish as a last resort (after its worn out), the problem with fingernail polish is that is chips and eventually will bring you back to the problem at hand. My question is how long have you been playing with it (LMAO, sorry it just sounds funny the way it reads ). I'm not saying that they wear out in a year or two, I'm talking 5, 10, 15 years. I don't know about you, but I want mine to stay display perfect. Bear any acts of god, in which case I am fully willing and capable of suing said god for restitution Now I know plastics have come a long way over the last decade but I too have had toys with ball joints, crap-crap-crappiest ones. I feel that if I cough up $100+ for a Yamamoto, I'd like it to stay "like new".

From what I remember reading, they had started a dub of the movie. They got about part of the way into the third episode worth then ran into translation problems. I guess it became too expensive to finish.

hey looking at those pics... where's Carl Macek?? So who did the voice of Rick Hunter?? j/k

If you had said plastic, then the Monster would probably go up in priority. Resin = costs and weight which equals more cost due to shipping. Look at Monkey-N's STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL 1/72 Monster Re-cast. Its about 450-500 shipped! Yikes! If I put out that kind of change, I would REQUIRE it to be full variable and have perfect details. I bought 3 1/48 Yamato VF-1S/J with FPs for less than that. If you said, the sculptor is going to keep prices way down for us, say 100-150 USD 1/72 Monster kit, then you would see interest and orders go way up. But that is not realistic at the moment. I think the list is pretty good so far for realistically achievable resin kits that may be affordable and have enough orders to initiate sculpting. If we're both talking about the same thing: HWR-00-MK II Monster, its not variable. I probably have been refereing to it incorrectly as Mac II when I guess I should be saying Mark II.

Nanashi, any chance you can divide up your site by "generation", or on a seperate page from your main page. For the few of us "macross generation" challenged people. Or even a identifier for Mac0, Mac, Mac+, Mac7. Thanks for the wonderful site. I can't wait for the weapons section myself -
I went to my local "master" model shop... hit the "clearance" bin, picked up a F14A "Bombcat" for like $6. Quite a nice model, butt loads of parts, descent detail, plenty of "unused/extra" parts for making customs. Figure I can mutilate it with "custom" stuff before I mute a Hassey.

hmmm seems that the auction is now "invalid" guess he got delisted

Actually I would like to see deck crews maybe on a mini-diarama. Thumbs-up pilots... Pilots giving the one-finger salute. Shaking fist pilot. Some kind of "alternative" helm pilot (helm in lap. helm not all the way on the head, kind of like a US football player) Young Hikiru in his racing uniform for my VF-1D Hassey would be kewl.

We're talking resin kit models as it says in the lead thread. And yes, there are 1/48 kits made in resin. 1/60 is very odd for a model, but I'm just writing down what people ask for. Personally, I'm a little surprised at the responses so far. Most of these are so obscure that a model maker will never make it. I thought that the Monster and more Macross and Macross Plus Valk Battroids would be the preference. I'd also have no use for the booster, but it would be easy to make and alot of people seem to like the idea. I'm all for Mac+ models in 1/48 But your right, majority rules Now when you say monster, are you talking about the Mac II or something else??
-
ACK!!! That’s fine if its gonna just sit on display, but if you "play" with it a lot the ball will wear and the ball/socket will loose tension/friction making it hard to maintain a standing position. I'm always gonna be skeptical about "ball joints" If you do get one with ball joints, you MUST use a silicone lubricant on the joint (a fly fishing water sealer like "Fly Float" is ideal, 100% silicone and does not attract dust). You can disbelieve me/scoff me now, in a few years you will find out.

She looks Egyptian?? j/k Very nice work, what kind of price are we looking at?
