  1. Hm...I wish we had a firm date...it's killin me waiting for something and having no idea when exactly to expect it. I'm assuming today's not gonna happen huh? That leaves two more days... I really hope they don't pull the plug on it like last time...that was just painful. C'mon enemy mechs...
  2. Uh...I doubt he'd be building up all this hype on the Macross Toys forum for something that has nothing to do with Macross. This is Graham we're talking about, not some random new poster. The guy's like Macross toy guru and if he's gonna let us know to expect someething...he's gonna know that it's gonna build expectations and that something non-Macross related isn't gonna cut it. I've got faith in Graham (no reason not to)...it's just a matter of waiting patiently...or at least waiting. C'mon let it be an enemy mech...
  3. Aahhh you're right. Not that I doubted it. Just didn't notice it myself. It's such a small difference...I like the blue just cause I like blue...but the green has a more rugged look to it and definitely fits the whole atmosphere in DYRL?. I just love the DYRL? Nous-Ger compared to the TV version though. The TV version just looks comical, whereas the DYRL? version looks like a mean killing machine. C'mon Yamato...the Q-Rau is such a great step in the right direction...more enemy mechs!
  4. Really? The Regult was green??? In that first scene where Max is in the VF-1A? I could have sworn that they were the same colors as TV...though I'd have to say that some of the green ones that I've seen pictures of are cool too. I definitely would love a Regult...but they need to be reasonably priced so it's affordable to buy several (maybe $50? Kinda doubtful huh?). I'd definitely like to see a Nous-Ger...they played a larg part in DYRL and the Regults hardly did anything (cept get blown up). Not to mention that the Nous-Ger DYRL? version were really sweet looking...I'm not a big fan of the tv version... <_<
  5. I agree that the Max sales probably won't be that strong. But it's probably for completists who simply love the M&M combo. There are people out there who are just big Max and Milia fans and collect everything of those two. It was the best duel in Macross TV and DYRL after all and they are the two ace pilots. People just buy into that kinda thing. I personally won't buy the Max either. The problem here is that while the VF-1J Milia actually played a big part in the TV series, the Q-Rau Max hardly did a thing. However, it's not a "mistake" for Yamato as you say...how can it possibly be a mistake when it's such minimal cost for Yamato? They'll easily make their money back and then some with sales just from the completist collectors. All it costs Yamato is some paint and a new box...minimal. I'm looking forward to the Purple one though...and I'm hoping this "secret" that Graham is promising will be an enemy mech...
  6. Yamato favors the DYRL colors b/c that's supposed to be the visual defiition of Space War I. It's what Space War was really supposed to look like. Maybe if the Q-Rau sells like crazy they'll come out with TV colors...but I doubt it. It's likely gonna be the red, blue and purple.

    Yamato 1/48 Valkyries

This thread is getting off topic but I remember hearing a while back that Yamato plans on releasing the Q-Rau in Red (Milia), Blue (Max) and Purple (General DYRL). It's so odd b/c Yamato doesn't seem to like TV colors (which is fine with me cause DYRL is supposed to be the visual definition anyway right?) and yet they release the M&M VF-1Js in TV colors... (at least I related this post back to the subject!) I'd like to at least see them release the purple one so you can have an army of Q-Rau's led by Milia...(army as in like 2 since I can only afford so much). Ya think a lot of United Army pilots were laughin at Milia's Q-Rau's color before they got popped?
  8. We DEFINITELY need Glaugs and Regults...but definitely the Nous-Ger (DYRL) is a really awesome looking mech. So I'd go with Glaug, Nous-Ger (DYRL) and then Regults. Glaugs are just a must...they look awesome, have a very unique look, and the VF-1s need some enemy mechs to go up against!!! I'd actually be ok if they just came out with the Nous-Ger though...at least ONE more enemy mech please!!!
  9. AMEN TO THAT!!! I'm praying the Q-Rau sells well so that Yamato sees the potential profits in enemy mechs. The market is so flooded with VFs of every different shape and form that something new like a Glaug, and/or Regult would be an awesome change of pace. The Q-Rau is an awesome step in the right direction...hopefully Yamato runs with it.
  10. Man that Max VF-1S looks sweet...too bad some of us don't have random old VFs lying around to do customs... ...and some of us don't even know how to do customs... I'm both!
  11. Thanks for the input Graham! But I'm just really disappointed to hear that chances aren't too good... Well personally, I feel like VF-1A's in general wouldn't sell nearly as well as a VF-1S. Seems to me like it was a mistake to make the VF-1A Max instead of the VF-1S. Isn't Max vs. Milia is one of the most popular rivalries in the whole Macross saga? It's one of the rare instances we actually get a one-on-one duel where we know both pilots. And yet Max flies the VF-1S in that battle (in DYRL), not the VF-1A. I dunno...my personal opinion is that the VF-1S is just way better looking thatn the VF-1A. It'd be one thing if Max never flew the VF-1S, but since we all know he does....and does so in the duel, it makes me not want to buy the VF-1A. Hikaru too...I just love the VF-1S mechs in general over any of the other VF-1s...so it kills me to see more of the others. Maybe if the 1/48 Hikaru VF-1S sells well they'll consider it? Hey Graham, since it is the 20th anniversary of DYRL, are there any special DYRL related things coming out this year???
  12. I know a lot of people are pretty much done with the 1/60 VF-1s, but it just seems weird to me that Yamato hasn't released either Max or Hikaru VF-1S' in that line. A lot of people talk about the 1/60 line being the "complete" line but how can any line be complete w/o those two toys? Especially with the Milia Q-Rau coming out soon, I'd really love a Max VF-1S to recreate that great scene from DYRL?. Any info at all on the possibilities???
