Its strange that I always thought I saw blades on them since Robotech when I was young. Must be from them RPG books. Thanks Sam for clarification. I was kinda perplexed that the blades never did show up on TV series.

It looks like lower grade MP prime...and it should look like that. The front tires are not hidden (its on the thighs) and transformation is simpler. Starscream is cool. I always hoped for binaltech seekers. (those 3 planes...starscream, etc)

Slightly off topic, but when does Yellow's Mospeada show up with the blades? I just rewatched it but haven't seen the blades. Weird......

ARGHHH!!! I called up Kino today and they made a mistake and thought I wanted the normal edition of the manga which doesn't come with the figure. WTF?!?! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Now only TMPanime can save me.

So there's a chance for me to still order this and not get it.....or maybe my cookie session timed out....and I have no chance to get it from Tokyo Central anymore. I was havcing doubts . since this is just a figure and the manga for US30 total when I can get other stuff like those pinky:st figures.....but now its sold out...bah.... We'll see how it goes. THere's that Kinokuniya pre-order i did 2 months ago which might not be confirmed.

The figure has been released about the same time as the rei manga figure. Its being spammed all over the toyboards though at that time i didn't know what it was.

I thought the Starcom toys were great. I only owned one which was a white colored base on stilts. I so wanted the big main jet one but my dad wouldn't get me one. Not sure why. Anyway, the base had this airlock, which you put your man on one side, flip a switch on one side and watch your man go through the airlock as the doors open and close. Very very nifty. It also has a mechanised wind up gun turret, which only starts up when you put your man's magnetic boots on the seat....which is very cool. Ahh....toys in the good ol days.

I want one..... WHere do i get one? And how many accesories does it ship with?

Well....i guess the same went for Macross, with the swing bars and all.... Who knows....we might get an affordable perfect grade Escaflowne one fine day. One fine day. I don't really mind transforming or not....but poseability is a must. Transforming would be better.

OMG....i was too young to appreciate these toys. The die cast toys, if they were around today, i'd collect them all! And the playability of the bigger sets are so cool. They don't make toys like they used to. Sigh! And the goliath in pristine condition... Goliath

I have that toy as well...gosh this toyline was shortlived but freaking cool. Die-cast goodness with variableness. I can't remember the name though. I just knew it was cool. I still have the uber big GOLIATH tank , although the control tower broke.... (ouch...i blame little brother). Its this giant tank/carrier, which opens up into a carrier of sorts and has ramps and stuff to deploy tanks and a runway for your little die cast jets to take off on. It even has an elevator for your tanks in carrier mode into the 20 odd parking bays on the back of the control tower. Pretty awesome toy line. Oh, and there was another toyline....X-panders i think it was called....they had this cool futuristic plastic soldiers, and their vehicles literally "expand" as they make these hissing noises (gear powered) into battle mode and whatever u call it. OMG...i totally forgot about these until I saw the pictures you posted.

Believe me...those are crap. I got the Escaflowne one and its utterly crap of a model figure. And I'm still hoping there's a masterpiece edition of Escaflowne. The current Yamato ones were pretty bad....boxart, and all.

so i guess its the same monster, and the same crew members from the SDF-1. Now they are geezers and Max is still young and kicking.

Wasn't there a time when construction flaw on toys were considered rare and collector's items?? Of course in Yamato's case, its common thus defeats the purpose of being a collector's item.....
