What exactly are these? Gashapon or trading figs?

Love the show. Just started on it. Its an interesting change to get hard sci-fi. The physics is realistic. The helmet monitor is detailed and its axis display spins along with the character. I love it...except for that crap insurance episode which displays main girl's "stupidly virtuous" attitude and the idiocy of the president and vice president of "half section". Can't stand them, even for comic relief.

Battle map mode. Turn based. Action mode using live cameras in Tokyo 3. "Dating" mode More action mode Story mode.....anime anyone? And this is the game where the F-type armour which you see the evangelion figures have appear. Edit: Bah...no direct linking....gonna sleep now so am not gonna bother for now....zzzzz

Dude...that's the artbook for Girlfriend of Steele 2 or Iron Maiden 2. And I thought you were talking about Evangelion 2, the PS2 game that the figures were from. Iron Maiden 2 has pretty crappy art IMHO. They weren't illustrated by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto and instead look like a collection of doujin drawings. Iron Maiden 1 introduced a new female character whose name I forgot, who was also the pilot for EVA03. Iron Maiden series are pretty much like any dating sim game. I'm not sure how the combat mechanics work in that game, but I think it requires nothing more than making choices: a.) kick the angel b.) use progressive knife c.) run away.

Just to amuse AgentOne..... Shrug. Cause its cool that's why. That's why Basara's VF-19 Kai emits lights from its eyes cause it reeks of coolness. You want it to make sense? It could make sense. Maybe its like the old Night Vision Goggles and they emit a dim green light when turned on. So the valk has night vision, geddit? Besides, space could be a dark dark place.

Sweet. But I don't dig the F-type armour and the new chainsaw cum nuke launcher weapon that comes with the EVA-01.

LOL! I wasn't joking per se. I was honestly just wondering if anybody did the LED mod before and how did they go about it. But I don't think my customusation skills would be up to par to do it anyway. But like i said, i personally kinda find light up eyes cool in EVA and Gundam. Kinda makes them look bad-ass. Screw the MPCs for being bad and getting under everyone's skin. And now light up visors = mpc = suck. I bet that if the MPC never existed and the 1/48 had a light up visor, none of you would be complaining. Anyway, that link to the dude who was doing the LED light in the Q-rau is excellent. Shall be watching his progress.

THe only way its S&M cute is the chained thing....otherwise catgirls always get my vote. What's a JA and MP? Anyway, I bought the game but don't own a PS2 since I'm such an EVA freak. I brought it over to a friend's place to play the training mission which was the same as the 1st episode of EVA. SAchiel comes through the city and Misato guides you like the small scaredy whiny Shinji that you are. Misato: "Press X button" Shinji: "I don't wanna! Why must I fight? I hate you, DAD!" Misato:"........." At least that's what I kinda understood from the Japanese speech that was going on, but otherwise, I don't know how you play the game. My EVA01 does kicks at Sachiel and stuff....and I don't know what's happening. Unfortunately I don't think playing this game without knowing rudimentary Japanese is possible. But the game plays like Super Robot Wars during battles. You see a tactical screen like how you see it in NERV headquarters. Very fancy green/yellow map and red blips and symbols that show you where the weapons bays are. You move your eva represented by a red icon...i think. And then when you engage the angel, you view the action via "live" cameras in the area just like in the EVA anime.

Uhh..that's nowhere near the end...but...I'm sure ppl will follow up. Anything with enough fanboys would. I cna't say the same for Yukikaze though. Sigh.

The toys during the 80's rocked. I used to spend hours in the toy shop burning images of toys into my head and going home to "play" with my toys because I was only entitled to toys when : 1.) its my birthday 2.) its my brother's birthday (this was to keep us from fighting over toys I was told) 3.) I did well in school/exams. Sigh....sadly....kids today have crap. If the toys today were as good as back then...I'd sit down in the toy department for hours burning toy images into my head again. I'm serious.

Keiichi got his last week. I'm still waiting on mine. I hate to keep giving TC a hard time but they could at least send out a generic "your order has shipped" email. I just hope my Rei gets here before I move out of this place on June 1st. I got mine from kinokuniya at Japan retail price. Which is good. Bad news is, TC has no response yet. They apparently charged my credit card....but no news on shipping whatsoever yet. And its already almost 2 weeks. I sent them a complaint that if its still not shipped, I want it cancelled.....but I just found out my credit card got charged....phooey.

Hmmm...I want light up wings and landing lights as much as the next person, but I can't begin to think where to put the wires and LEDs... But I guess I won't got for it after all....at least not for now.

no i've read elsewhere that they might come out with that figure. I could've sworn that that's the uniform with the other Pinky...and at least Rei's uniform doesn't look like that. No matter....who has a larger scan of this magazine page so we can see what it says. EDIT: I'm now very sure those are parts of Pinky 04 and 05. What do you guys think of putting an LED in a 1/48 head? I figure they won't have the "glowing head effect" that the toynamis have.....so the problem is..... 1.) Where to put the LED. There definately has to be some drilling involved. Shouldn't be too hard since the visor area is hollow so just gotta drill a hole big enough to slip an LED in. 2.) What batttery to use and where to put it and where/how to put a switch.

I was looking for my obscure toy but I can't find it. Can't really remmeber the name but i THOUGHT it was called Xpanders. But nothing on the web so i probably got the name wrong. It was something like Starcom but later. It had little plastic futuristic toy soldiers, and its vehicles kinda expand when you press a button. They slowly expand to open up into a base or something. Someone tell me what this toyline is. And then there's that die-cast metal military toys which was brought up awhile ago.... MmmMm....Starmax bomber. After looking through the toys of the past.....they were pretty kick ass crap weren't they? Look at what our children have today. Action Man. Pokemon. Transformers Armada/Energon....whatever happened to the creativity of the 80s?

AT LEAST MAKE IT A B-CLUB KIT MAN! Ditto on that. I want the Gold Frame Amatu and the Blue Frame 2nd. The Amatu would make Deathscythe have a run for its money.

Yeah, those subtitles are dreadful since they're just direct rips of the subs from the Hong Kong bootlegs. There is a set of high quality fansubs around, but they're not extremely common and they only appear to go up to episode 30 that I've been able to find to date. I had a bunch from a LAN party in wmv format but the person I leeched from were missing a few episodes so i had to rely on #ass for the missing episodes. They were VHS encodes btw.

Uh dude...i think that school costume is from the other Pinky figures. The picture is to demonstrate that the heads, accesories can be interchanged like the other Pinky figures. I'm buying the rei/asuka along with 3 other Pinkies from HLJ. Sweet mixing and matching goodness.

Pffft....old news fanboys....pre ordered them from HLJ about a month ago, the grimrocks and the pinky:st Those things sell like hot cakes....about 2 days after i preordered, they stopped preorders.

Nope....I'll wait until the end of this week before I file a complaint to TC. If TC's not going to send me my figure, then send me my damn money back!! I already sent a complaint....they charged my credit card but no news on it.
