I'm so happy with battroid mode now. The attitude is just right. Fighter mode was so beautiful that I was afraid battroid mode would suffer too much. That wouldn't necessarily have to happen to any other valk, but this is the trickiest of all valks. Yamato is doing an outstanding job lately. I can't wait to see what they do with the rest of the M+ line. (Aw, c'mon, you all know it's coming).

Wow. Can't wait to see it assembled. Keep it up, man.

Which is why I'm not that much of a fan of the Hargun. I'm a PT guy

Handmade Alpha for 3&3/4 figures

You're one busy fellah! -
Graham said that the thruster pack would be fixed in the 2nd run. As for a feet lock, I was wondering if the future releases of the 0 will have one, since the production pics of the 0a show more clearance betwenn the feet and calves. I'm okay with the so called floppiness, BUT if Yamato change that I will have to buy a second 0S

This is not the Maxfactory Garland. Maxfactory's is way better in proportion (although the last known pictures of the toy showed it in a very early stage). I'm patiently waiting for those to be released, even knowing they'll probably be very expensive gokins. These would make great cheap toys a la 1/100 Toynami Valks tho', but 100 bucks a piece, no way.

Man, that sucks. Mine is a 1st run too and holds just fine. I guess I was lucky so I won't push my luck getting a 1st run YF-19

As far as I can remember from the early episodes (probably the very first one), Lion-O's plans were to make a Thundercats empire on Earth. Lion-O was still naive, but no one told him that was a bad idea. I think that could be a good place to start a new series. I'm a sucker for epic sagas, but I think that was the direction the show was triyng to take anyway. I can't understand why everytime someone decides on revamping an old television hit, they must strip it off the things that made it original and therefore a success in the first place.

Ok. Now do a transformable one and PM me the price -
Thanks, Man.

I can't afford it right now, so for me the desicion is easy. I'm gonna wait for a second run and repaints if they worth it, but 200 bucks for a valk is an abuse IMHO.

I think that the removable landing gear debate is for the YF-21

Hey Isamu, I've been wondering: Does the second issue have a lock on the ankle when you pull out the feet? Not that it needs one, but the production shots of the VF-0A show that apparently the feet can be pulled a bit further than the VF-0S and that they stay there. Maybe Yamato added this feature after the first release? Edit: The supposedly loose joints don't bother me the slightest, but THAT could make me buy the 0S again

That's a good idea. Besides, you can't make a "perfect transformation" Ride armor anyway, not in the Macross sense anyway.

Penguin has a point. In this case the figures are critical. They'll have to make well detailed and poseable figures, with tight joints that support the armor and fair likenesses (not to mention swappable heads with/out helmets) to get the attention of potential customers. I'm really sad about the Beta news, and with the fact that Toynami screw it big time with the Alphas among all the possible toys in the world: I love the sculpt.

We will probably have multiple repaints of this baby so for me the decision is easy: One Mac+ Yf-19 and one of every repaint they make (except probably a woodland version).

Agreed. I think we have enough VF-1 for now (besides I'm pretty sure Yamato will bend eventually and make the two seaters, wait and see). I bought only one 1/60, a Roy, and that was by the time the first 1/48's we're being released. I wasn't very impressed by it so I decided to spend my money on the 48's. The perfect transformation (including sliding heat shield), would be a prerequisite for me to even begin to consider buying any new VF-1 at 1/60 scale.

Aoshima Aliens Dropship
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Dangard Ace's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I've managed to open my 02 and drilled the bottom of the seats to fit my Galoob Ferro and Hicks figures. I don't have a good camera right now, but looks pretty nice. I also drilled both tabs of the canopy so I can take them off whenever I want. The Galoobs are a tad bigger than the actual scale, but it doesn't bother me at all. The tricky part is to separate the two halves of the cockpit. The screw that holds the nose section together is cleverly hidden behind a metal panel on the left of the nose and you can't possibly take it off without damaging the paint, so I planted a screwdriver in the seam and patiently worked my way to the front of the cockpit forcing the front screw until it snapped off. I just wish I could get a bunch of aftermarket nose antennas, those long thin suckers beg to be broken. -
I told you the 19 wasn't vaporware. People here in Mexico have a saying: "There's more time than life". I knew that an improved 19 would be released sooner or later, I just wasn't sure about how good it would be. And since this tread started my gripes were mostly about Battroid mode because I'm a battroid person and fighter was too good already. And Boy, is battroid beautiful! They even managed to fix the long torso problem present in all previous depictions of the 19, and the intakes instead of making it look stiff (like in the CAD drawings), make it look pretty sleek. Of course there's a VF-11 on the way, and better yet: a 1/60 YF-21! Mark my words. Just for fun: Remember all the hunger for that show exclusive 1/100 garage YF-19? Look at it now that the spell is broken.

I just signed. I hope it helps.

Hey, Grand Cannon. Long time no see. I liked the first episode. Very good quality for a series, but too slow for my tastes (and I'm a fan of the original Solaris movie!). I hope that improves on the next few episodes. Edit: Anyone have the link for Ep. 2 yet?
