  1. Given the interest the manufacturers have shown for 80's mecha, I think it's safe to assume that someone will make them eventually. It's a no brainer, really, although I agree it may take quite some time. As for price, well, yeah, even if the toy sucks (and I sincerely hope it doesn't), everyone will buy it if the price is right (myself included). As it is now, they aren't worth the 80 bucks they're asking for them, even if the engineering was good enough. That rider doesn't even look like Scott! That was forgivable 20 years ago, but we're not kids anymore. I think Toynami should realize that.
  2. The Yui figure comes with the military repaint of the Garland, not the metallic one. It also comes with a standing Yui and Shogo's buddy, so you have to buy the brown Garland if you want your Shogo to ride with his chick
  3. Same here. Besides they're not much of an improvement over the old Gakken in sculpt AND engineering. Not to mention that the Gakken is probably more durable and I already have that one. I'll wait for another company to make a Cyclone worth my money. It's a matter of time.
  4. Huh, I think I miss that info. Can you post the link, please? Edit: Nevermind, I found it
  5. So, you just spray the toys directly from the can? (I'm just asking because I have no modelling skills whatsoever, but I wanna learn to do basic stuff to make my toys look good and keep them that way!)
  6. Agreed. I bet the hole must look simply fugly without the fan to cover all the mechanisms inside, so Yamato decided it must be covered someway. Now I'm not so sure that simply removing the fan piece would be a solution. I think we'll have to live with it, or let the intake covers on.
  7. That's precisely my point: The ride armors aren't "perfect transformation", really, so to compensate that, the sculpt of the bikes and riders should be really nice for me to buy them, and as far as I can see, Toynami's aren't the case.
  8. Imagine that! I usually don't get too excited when people talk about new Cyclone toys. But a Yamato Cyclone the same scale as the Garland and Motoslave, Weeee!
  9. Good point. Once I have the toy on my hands I might just take that piece off.
  10. Priss seems to be ball jointed all over. A great improvement over the Shogo figure.
  11. That's for the upcoming 1/5 Kamjin action figure
  12. Thanks for the pictures and the upcoming report, Graham. I really appreciate it.
  13. Agreed. No preorder for me either. I love the looks and all the add ons, but not to loose my head over. I'm still waiting for reports.
  14. These have been discussed here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...20717&st=60 Yours are bigger pics tho'
  15. Good for them. Me, I'm gonna save for their Legioss/Tread. I think this Ingram is a nice effort, with the lights and all, but the sculpt doesn't do it for me. I rather get the Revoltechs.
  16. I read somewhere a post by Graham stating that he took quite a bunch of photos, but he'll post them when he's back home.
  17. I wonder where do they plan on storing the rear landing gear on the Tread. Also there's some details missing on the front of it and there's obviously a piece that conceals half of the upper arm that is also missing. It seems there's still a lot of work to do on it.
  18. I really hope CM's revise the intakes. It could be as easy as making the hole bigger. That or I'll salvage my Toynamis chest area for these
  19. I think there's an odd perspective going on on that picture, since all valks are tilted the same way, not just the landing gear ones. Looking at the picture of the box they are as detailed as the 1/48's, but they're not for me. So much great stuff coming. Gotta set my priorities
  20. About the craddle: judging for the line art AND the prototype, seems to me that the connecting piece connects at the crotch of the Legioss. The "pincers" of the toy obviously connect at the leg joints. That also explains the line: 背後ã«ãŸãŸã‚“ã 機首部分ãŒé•·ã„ã®ã§ã€äººåž‹ã®ã¾ã¾ãƒˆãƒ¬ãƒƒãƒ‰ï¿½ 接続ã¯é›£ã—ã„ã‹ã‚‚? It is whether since the nose-of-an-airplane portion folded back is long, connection is difficult for a tread with a man type? Which means there's concern about if the Legioss can remain connected in Soldier mode or not, due to his long nosecone.
  21. I'll wait for the reports too. Besides it'll give me some more time to save money for it, but I'm glad that Yamato seems to be listening to the complains of the consumers. BTW: Any sign of the Maxfactory Garland? Now... To the Legioss/Tread dicussion thread!
  22. It seems a waste for those great molds to release just a few Extra Rare Event Exclusive Ãœber expensive resin kits, whe we could have affordable ABS transforming Mac+ Valks. Just makes me feel angry
  23. Now I see why so many people wants Yamato to make this. It's a beautiful mecha altogether. Great job, by the way!
  24. I was very lucky with all my four Alphas, but yeah the Shadow and the Lancer are the best in tightness and fitting of parts. Very fun to play with despite all the problems. As for Gerwalk mode, those tiny landing gears just don't do it for me. All my Alphas drag the chestplate and even if they dind't, you can't seriously think that a plane can land with that kind of clearance, so I just "land" them with the legs which makes more sense to me. Besides the Alpha is really easy to transform.
