Biology question
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Lonely Soldier Boy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
That's what I thought. Theoretically you just have to pick as many species of plants and trees that can pollinate without the need of help from other species, and make them stronger, more adaptable and faster growing. -
Thanks, Carl. I appreciate it. This is very useful to me

Biology question
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Lonely Soldier Boy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I love you guys. You've all helped me a big deal. Membership has its privileges -
Hi guys, As some of you know I work in the comics industry. Right now I'm working a new science fiction script. I stumbled with a technical problem and I know that we have a lot of well informed people in aerospace and whatnot on these boards. I know the question may seem stupid for some, so please be sensitive about my ignorance and don't make a scandal okay? Let's say you're on a terraformed planet. You have rain, you have dirt, you have a sun, but the ecosystem itself is engineered, which means there are no animals, only engineered plants and bacteria, the basics to create and maintain at breathable atmosphere. If this was possible and your buddy died, would he decompose without maggots? Where do maggots come from? Do they appear spontaneously on a decomposing organism? Thanks in advance for checking out this thread. I f you don't have the answer, but know somebody who might, please ask her or him.

CM's Corporation Legioss/TREAD.
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Roger's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
At this point I'm willing to overlook the many sculpt licenses CMS decide to take as long as the toy itself is flawless. There are too many transforming toys with annoying issues out there already. -

Beagle 1/12 Mospeada Ride Armor for 2008
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Save's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Isn't the Yamato Scope Dog 1/12 also? I'm trying to imagine a Chirico Cuvie sized Ride Armor, since I don't own any of the IMAI models. Edit: Thanks to Genius for the clarification -

I knew somebody in the far east would eventually make these. Now let's the competition for the better toy begin. -
1/350 star battleship yamato
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Eternal_D's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
From Dalong's pictures it seems molded in color. Unless you want a more model kit and a less toyish look, adding weathering and stuff, it doesn't seem that much of a hassle to put together. After all assembly is the fun and easy part IMHO. -
Ok, somebody please lock this thread down or I'll keep coming over and over. It's too cruel, I just can't handle anymore.

Gatchaman CGI film?
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to capt.actionjackson's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
As soon as I make my Hollywood break, I'll buy the right of Macross and do a live action DYRL movie. I'll hire the designers of Transformers the movie to redesign the VF-1s completely (I want them all chrome) and sign Justin Timberlake to play Hikaru MUAHAHAHA! Seriously now, I think it would be a nice touch to stick to the whole 70's aesthetics. That'd be fun. If I could, I'd do Megazone 23 with all the 80's styled mecha and the weird hairdos and makeup of Shogo's gang. Oh! and neon! Lots of neon. -
I was waiting for the bundle 'cause I gotta have at least one canon of each Valk (silly, I know). Repaints are welcome if I like any. I think I'll wait 'till all repaints are out to decide wich one to get

Anime Tatoos: Going a little too far...
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Noriko Takaya's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Exactly! One would think that the society with more issues towards sexuality, would be the one with the more intriguing sexual perversions. We are perverted in the west (I know I am), but the Japanese are sexual pioneers hands down! -
Anime Tatoos: Going a little too far...
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Noriko Takaya's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I'm not trying to start a debate here. But why is it that a society that has no taboos towards sexuality and the human body, is so obsessed in censoring the pubic areas? It's a serious doubt I have, 'cause the day I find a prejudice free society, I'm going to move there! Back on topic. I loved the pic, it'll go straight to my curious images folder -

Thanks, Dobber. The SV-51 sig was easy, but I was lost this time I hoped for the 21 first, but that's okay. If Yamato is doing the 11, the 21 can't be too far behind

Ah, that's the one Wow, that battroid mode looks better than my Yamato Monster.
-
Nice finish! Did you use airbrush? Now all you need is a set of custom Low Vis decals. Yeah, I know, everybody is a critic
-
I'm not getting it either. I'll wait for reviews. If the toy worth it then I'll buy it on e-Bay or something. If not, I'll wait for a Reissue. If a second edition Ivanov takes forever to come out (like the VF-0S), I'll buy it on discount

Thanks for the pics, Graham. By the way: is this the resin prototype or a production sample?

Here's the discussion about the transforming monster I was talking about. It was taken from Brickshelf too, but the link it's not there anymore. I should've grab some pictures back then There's also a couple of interesting Lego/Macross pics on that thread, so it's still worth checking out tho'.

I'll be interested too. My OS is not broken yet, but there's a nasty crack forming up already. Also, have we discussed the price for the sets already? By the way, it'll be interesting to gauge interest on recasts for the Garland's shoulders too while we're at it. Seems to be the about the same assembly problem than on the O's.

Wow! I haven't see these. I do remember a transforming Köenig Monster that somebody posted here a long time ago, but I'm too lazy to look for it now.

I too was thinking on painting the green areas with a darker shade of grey when I saw the WF pics. I'm not much of a model maker, but I just can't get over that green. The rest of the GBP looks awsome. I hope we'll see a new Valk with a similar scheme to go along with it down the road (Enigma perhaps?). If not, I agree: the Roy will be the best looking of all Valks with it. Hey Takatoys: When you make your custom stickers for the GBP please consider some "leg art" for it. Like a Minmay in a swimsuit and optional stuff. We could even brainstorm some ideas here!
