Those were really small. I don't see how CMs will do much better than Gakken in that scale. The article mentions Micro Man. I don't know wich scale are those since I don't own any, but I think they're bigger than the Gakkens, aren't they? I hope they're using those as a base, I remember that "Microman" transforming Garland that showed up around here a few months ago? That looked sweet. -

I knew it. That's why I cancelled my Shin. No more VF-0s for me until I know for certain that the shoulders are improved.

Attempt at an American Gundam series

Looks like a tailor made show to sell SD gashapon Gundams state side. Note the bubble gum and the Doms popping out of the robot turkey eggs. -
Hey Gene. Cool mod dude. Wich magnets did you use exactly?

1/60 YF-21 - Will you be picking up the 1st release version?
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to TheLoneWolf's topic in Toys
Graham's reviews are always optimistic. When he first reviewed the 1/60 YF-19 I knew I had to wait for the MWers reports to have a wider view of the toy. It's not his fault, the man has too much good will towards Macross toys in general. You have to hear the trolls as well. This one is a tough call for me. I'm a YF-21 guy, and Yamato already did this toy twice before, besides it's not as complex as the SV-51 so I have good reasons to think they will get it right this time, but it's still wiser to be patient. Edit: As for FP, since Yamato added the boosters and even a display stand on the 1st release SV-51, I think maybe they decided to add all those minor accesories on all their future releases? -
I'm with knight on this one. The whole script makes no sense. I'm sure the Transformers zealots have an answer for every inconsistency, but I don't want to hear them, because they should be IN the movie. I'm not a Transformers fan, I'm a moviegoer. Besides the pace is chaotic, there are stablished characters that dissappear in the middle of the movie not to be seen again, like the hacker chick and her gang. At the beginning it's all characters and jokes and then the human characters just fade away in the middle of the conflict. The US government doing the right thing is starting to get in the middle of logic. Nowadays even a ten year old would find that more ulikely than transforming living robots. By the way, I was wondering, if Bumblebee can change from a rusty 80s Camaro to a brand new concept one that means transformers can change the shape of metal itself, what's the point of having so many moving parts then? The direction is also bad. Michael Bay rely almost exclusively on frenetic camera moves to astonish the audience. I hate movies that make me feel as if I was on acid. The camera wouldn't stay still for two seconds. I mean, fantastic pans are always cool, but not for two hours in a row! What about a open shot here and there just so we know what the hell is going on? At some point all I could see were gigantic amorphic machines bouncing on the screen from one side to the other. Besides it's not like transformers are so disctintive from one another in robot mode. IMO those design don't work well on an action movie. The visual effects are amazing, but that's ILM, that's what they do. I had no expectations with this movie, but I feel I had to add my two cents to help stop all this Hollywood commercial nonsense. Summer blockbusters are getting worse every year. Edit: sorry if all this has been discussed already, but no way I'm reading 68 pages of transformers analysis.

Yamato 1/60 YF-21 News & Pics
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Graham's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
The sleekness in fighter was all I needed to know at the moment. I asked about the landing gear because some people was worried about it fit in the flat wing roots, but I'm very confident in Yamato with this particular release. Thanks Graham. -
Yamato 1/60 YF-21 News & Pics
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Graham's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I'm so happy I can't believe it. The YF 21 1/72 is my favorite Yamato toy yet despite it's flaws (not that it has too many). A 21 in 1/60 scale given the experience Yamato already has on this particular design and the great kits out there can only mean that the 21 is going to be one hell of a toy. Hey Graham, can you tell us anything about the actual prototype other than "it looks great"? Like how does the landing gear works, how sleek it is from the side and if it has any gimmicks? -
Oh, yeah! The Valkylie Minogues! I was wondering whatever happened with them
-
Does anybody knows how tall this is? I'm tempted to get one to see if I can salvage some things for my Toynami 1/100, like the hands or maybe some joints
-
The sculpt I don't have any gripes with. The potencial QC issues is another story, so I'm too waiting for the reviews. I wish I was a pathological optimist like my countryman Ignacio here, but Yamato keeps releasing defective first releases. I finally decided to order a second edition YF-19 after reading all the reports, and tho' it hasn't arrived yet, I feel very confident about my purchase.

Futuristic Lupin the 3rd pilot!
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to terry the lone wolf's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Thanks for the link, terry. Looks pretty old. You can see it was taken from a video tape. I wonder if Miyazaki had anything to do with this, I just saw The Castle of Cagliostro a couple of weeks ago and the direction is far superior. -
CM's Corporation Legioss/TREAD.
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Roger's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Listen to jenius. I've been checking out other CMs products recently and I'm sure we're in for a treat. Besides, as I stated before, CMs knows the competition is tough and they're aware of the pros and cons of the Toynami version, so it's a win win situation for us consumers -
That mod looks so awsome. I can't wait for mine to do that.
-
Here's some nice color pics of a finished model. I hope Yamato's end up looking as good as this, and that by then they fix the damn shoulder for crissakes!
-
To be fair, Graham has stated several times that he's fed up with the VF-1 and to be honest, me too. I know Kaiyodo must do the VF-1 to begin their Revy Macross line, but I'm waiting for them to move forward to other Macross mecha.
-
I too can't wait for Graham's report, although I'm not getting it until I hear positive reports or until Yamato releases a second issue, like I did with the 19 FP. I've learned to be patient and play safe when it comes to valks.

CM's Corporation Legioss/TREAD.
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Roger's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Yeah, I was under the impression they're just being cautious. After all they already have a direct competition out there. Same product, same target, same scale. I hope they're working on a Legioss/Tread that blows Toynami/Aoshima's out of the water. -

I'd like to know that myself, but mine is sitting at Twinmoons waiting for the rest of the items I ordered to be shipped. My guess is the shoulders will be the same as the replacement ones. I doubt they will be made of a better plastic or anything, just like the VF-0 replacements, so I'll just be careful -

Does it work with iPod screens? (Wow! This is getting way out of topic so fast!) -
Wow! Nice custom! I don't have my 19 FP yet and already want to see Yamato releasing some repaints. Are there any other customs in the works around here?
