I remember the generic Regult, the large missile one, the small missile one and the Scout. The Scout will probably need some resculpting of the main body, but is my most anticipated version

Maybe we should start looking around for good replacement hands more seriously, and ask one of our resident recasters to make some sets. I wasn't that concerned about the hands when I first got my Alphas, but since I broke one of them I'm terrified to even touch the toys, because it didn't even offered any resistance when it broke. I don't even care if the hand has moving fingers as long as it can be stored in the forearm and hold the gun.

Bummer. I wonder why they even bothered in making them

Bubblegum Crisis Toys
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to the_foul_fowl's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I hope it's due to the prototype stage, but the finishing of the Yamato figures is nowhere near the Atelier ones. I realize that Atelier's are bigger, but those are real masterpieces in comparsion. Again, I hope the production figures look better.- 881 replies

Yeah, I know. What I mean is that whereas in the US the toy makers milk the licenses for what they're worth as a common practice, it seems to me that the japanese only get a license to produce the main mecha and all the possible variants. Look at Yamato with the DYRL license for instance: so far we've only seen one enemy mecha and soon one support mecha against countless of VF-1s in like ten years of holding the license. I doubt MH will do better. I wish they do, (I too want to see figures in civvies and Ariel and her brother and sister being made) but I doubt it.

Carlos just shipped my set. I've never bought from him before, so I don't know how long it will take to get to Mexico City, but that's okay, I'm a patient guy. I've waited 20 years for this toy already. Edit: This toy looks great for a whole Mospeada line in size and style, but I'm affraid japanese toy makers don't think like their american counterparts, so I doubt we'll ever see the Jeep or even some Inbits to go with the Ridearmors. Anyway, I think it's time to contact our resident sticker makers to do some repro sheets. Or should we wait for the Blowsuperior and see if MH decides to pack the stickers with it this time?

I'm curious to see just how many people out there will stick to their preorders after this. From this thread it seemed to me that most people were jumping at preorders only because of the 80 price tag (I did).

Just got this from Tam: Dear Fellow Robotech Fan, Thank you for your recent order for the Robotech Masterpiece Collection Beta. We are writing with some bad news about the price of these figures. We just heard from Toynami today and they have informed us that the price that they had printed in their catalogs was INCORRECT for these figures and that the correct price range will be $150-$200 per beta. They claim that they have still not finalized the price and that the price they had originally listed on their catalogs was simply incorrect. Suffice it to say that we are very upset about this, but unfortunately there is no way that we can offer them at the $79.99 price that was listed on our site. Due to this reason, all current orders for these will be canceled and they will be re-listed on our site as soon as we have confirmation of the correct price. We greatly apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and are just upset about it as I'm sure you might be, but sadly it's a situation that is completely out of our control. Best Regards, Tamim Un F*cking believable. Nevermind, I'll get mine when prices drop.

Preordered the blue one from Tam. If turns to be any good, I'll consider on buying another color. I was never too fond on the sculpt, even before CMs showed their TREAD (wich has great proportions IMHO). The legs are too small and the huffs are too short in Battroid mode, but what worries me the most are the hip hinges. They look real fragile. If they don't break is very likely they won't be able to hold the huge torso balanced for long. Edit: I hope the torso is indeed hollow plastic and not made of one single piece of solid die cast. Fortunately not even Toynami is THAT stupid... right?

They should give us a set of the newer tires for free with every Stick and Rey purchase. They make the whole bike look bigger and beefier as it should have been from the get go.
-
Damn. I like it. I'll have to get both, Mega House's and Beagle's. I like the sophisticated approach of Beagle just as much as MH's anime looks of the Ridearmor. BBTS already has three versions listed for preorder. That's pretty bold for Toynami, unless somebody else is manufacturing the toys. OTOH, if Toynami are merely distributing the Beagle toy, it should appear listed in HLJ any time now.

Dude! Those are wonderful! Thanks a lot. I'll PM you right away. Just let me save all those Quo Vadis files to my computer

CM's Corporation Legioss/TREAD.
Lonely Soldier Boy replied to Roger's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Eriku is right. It's a sad time for us Legioss/TREAD fans. Still, I'll buy a blue Beta depending on the reviews, just because I already own the Toynami Alphas, tho' I like CMs' TREAD sculpt better. What I'm really waiting for here is for another company to do the set. I don't hold my breath with the Toynami Beta and I quit to the CMs combo a long time ago. -

I can help but notice on those pics that the Bandai people didn't even offered Kawamori a cup of cofee.

Is the Reactive Armor removable on the CMs Ingram?
-
I wish. I don't even know the name of the designer. All I have are a few jpg's of lineart I found here and there and a couple of pics of some very rare garage kits from back then. I can send them to you if you're interested. Just PM me. Yeah. Anubis is bad ass. It's my personal fave. Looks like a real Dog... erm... God Hopefully, if Kaiyodo ever makes these, they'll start the line with him. Too bad that Kaiyodo seems more interested in big licenses like Aliens now that the Revy line is such a success. Here's a pic of an old Anubis kit I keep in my ZOE folder:

Right, I forgot about that proto. Not too impressive, really. Maybe the production model looks better. Oooh, I can't wait. I like your customs a lot.
-
Actually that's Jehuty. I wonder why they wrote Anubis on the plaque. Anyway, now that we're at it, I'd like Kaiyodo to produce some Quo Vadis mecha too, I don't know if that game was any popular in Japan, the mecha rules tho':

WHAT?! That's idiotic. I hope there's a way around it. Anyway, if the CMs' Mospeadas looked anything like this form the factory, I would have my set already: Edit: BTW, I find odd that we haven't heard about CMs' Blow Superior and Bartley by now. I hope it's not a dead line. I'm not collecting the CMs' but I want to see the rest of the characters and if the design improves on future releases.
