    Ok, I cracked and I got a great deal on a Falcon here in Mexico City (I should've bought two since I'll probably never see that toy at that price here again). Anyway, I'm very happy with the two figures included and now I want the rest of the ANH cast again, since I quit collecting these quite some time ago and I lost track of the improvements. The thing now is that with this toy bending knees are a must, given the new chairs and such. I have the list that Shin gave us, but then I saw the pictures in the back of the box, illustrating all the features and I think those figures are just right. Can you guys identify them for me? I'm interested on the Luke figure (or figures if they're two separate ones), Leia (if she has a nice face sculpt), and of course both droids... Does that Threepio can really bend the knees? Thanks in advance, guys. Edit: I'm not sure about that R2, tho'. What I really want is a well detailed R2 with retractable third leg and swiveling ankles, like that Imperial R2 unit I have only white and blue instead of black. I'm not interested in opening doors, rocket pods or battle damage features.

    Thanks Firefox. The landing gear bay doors have some nasty hinges on the 1/60, whereas the 100 doesn't seem to have any landing gear at all, at least not yet.

    So when did the VF-2ss was mentioned? I thought it was listed and it's the one I want the most, but now I'd like to know if it's gonna be released at all. Anybody?

    Probably another special release, a la metallic Garland that came with the movie, OST, artbook and whatnot.

    I wonder if Bandai will go with a policy of making the Hundreds as little parts swapping as possible. If that's the case maybe Bandai could produce PT toys of the most "straight forward" valks, like the VF-1. Toynami's turned out pretty nice, so I'd like to see what Bandai can do with it.

    Hey, I'm just replying to the post where you quoted me. I didn't said anything about people don't liking the Yamato toy. I don't like it so, in a sensible consumer's attitude, I decided not to spend money on it. Your position seems to be "don't criticize it if you don't own it", wich means I'd have to buy just about everything to realize if it was worth it or not afterwards. Does that makes sense to you?

    It's a mystery. That figure was shown when the Protoype was first displayed. There was speculation back then wether the Mint figure were to be released with one of the first releases or not, but those are already out and still no Mint. There was also a small Inbit sculpture displayed next to the Ridearmors on that show, but it was so poorly done it was obvious it was just a mock up to draw attention to the figures. You can still hope that the Mint figure comes with the Bartley. Personally I don't care since she wasn't poseable anyway.

    Then what's the point in publishing pictures and display early prototypes everywhere? Sure! Except we have a more accurate Motoslave toy already. When it comes to new versions of existing products the toy companies should make a step forward, not to the side. Aoshima's version being bigger than Yamato's is a good thing, but if it's uglier then it's one thing for the other.

    The Battroid pic of the Beta in RT.com shows a more anime accurate chest plate. Is there any word if this is the final looks of the Beta, or is it just a mock up? I think it's a mock up just for show, but it'd be nice if the actual toy ended up looking like that. Also, I'd like to wait for the Toynami version of the Beagle Ridearmor for various reasons, but I'm affraid that the release of the american version takes too long if it's not scrapped altogether. With Toynami you never know.

    Beautiful. Here's another custom Falcon. This toy looks too much like "just from the dealer" to me. I hope I don't end up ruining mine when I get my hands on it. I'm not much of a modeler.

    Damn! That proto looks terrible. It's all >EXO<'s fault. Seriously now: What's wrong with Aoshima? First the Toynami Legioss flop and now this. I guess I'll keep waiting for a nice motoslave then. Edit: Is it a common practice among japanese toy manufacturers to revisit their prototypes before production if they get too much bad feedback, or they usually have a "if you don't like it don't buy it" policy?

    Ok, so if I understand correctly, these should be a tad higher than the Atelier ones? Sweet! I always regretted not getting those. Now we're getting big Knight Saber figures with Motoslaves!

    I know. One of the most annoying things of SW collecting is to chase down the best figure of each character. Just when you got the latest Greedo, you learn that there's a newer one with ball joints, or a new clone trooper with removable helmet, or a Leia with better likeness or a Chewie with a better crossbow.

    Hahaha! Sorry, I'm an idiot. Ok. I guess is one less toy to buy. I was waiting for a nice pilot figure to pop out to make up my mind but those legs did it.

    I don't get why is so hard for the Hasbro sculptors to get the likenesses fairly right sometimes: Last night I was at my local Walmart to check out the new Clone Wars line and they looked nothing like the characters. I've been working on the Clone Wars comic books for a few weeks now, busting my eyes to get the likenesses right on each panel, while the action figures deliver such poor sculpts.

    I don't like either version. Fighter is nice in both toys but Battroid looks silly with those shoulders floating. Maybe the problem is K's design and not Bandai's rendition. Anyway, no 25's for me.
